Manwell Pablo Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 I doubt any of us were alive during the War, but we all still respect and admire Winston Churchill. You can't compare the two Thatchers actions were a benefit to the country are more a matter of opinion and poltical stance, and I doubt he for one has the first clue about what she did why she did it or has any life experience under her reign. Seems to be a lot of 1980's politics experts cropping up left right and centre since she died!
yorkie1999 Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 I'm so devastated I didn't the chance to leave school at 15 and work down the pits for 50 years. Bitch. But at least it provided employment for thousands of kids who came out of school every year who could work hard and raise families without having to scrounge off benefits.
I am Rod Hull Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 I'm so devastated I didn't the chance to leave school at 15 and work down the pits for 50 years. Bitch. Nowt wrong with being employed in a job for 50 years, Matt, surely that`s a good thing, people paying taxes all their lives instead of claiming benefits EDIT: beat me to it, yorkie

That's what I was saying.
Manwell Pablo Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 Actually thinking about it that Winston Churchill point does sort of highlight the level of ignorance in here, given that Thatcher and Churchill were about as poltically identical as you can get, but one won a war and the other shut alot of coal mines. Winning war good Closing mines bad
MrSpaM Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 But at least it provided employment for thousands of kids who came out of school every year who could work hard and raise families without having to scrounge off benefits. How many school leavers in today's society would work down a mine if they had the option instead of sitting on benefits?
Tempwan Yierban Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 Actually thinking about it that Winston Churchill point does sort of highlight the level of ignorance in here, given that Thatcher and Churchill were about as poltically identical as you can get, but one won a war and the other shut alot of coal mines. Winning war good Closing mines bad What about the difference between closing mines and closing minds (ie Thatcher vs every labour government from Blair onward)? Closing mines vs being passionate about land mines (or pretending to? Whatvere) (ie Thatcher vs people's princess and man-eater Princess Di)? Thats me done.

Winning war good Closing mines bad How can you compare winning WII to the closing of mines?
Tempwan Yierban Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 How many of today's society would work down a mine if they had the option instead of sitting on benefits? Is there any copper worth pinching in this mine? Would anyone notice if we rigged up a lighting and ventilation system to grow cannabis in there? Can we get facebook? etc.
Manwell Pablo Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 How can you compare winning WII to the closing of mines? Im not. This is my point!
MrSpaM Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 Is there any copper worth pinching in this mine? Would anyone notice if we rigged up a lighting and ventilation system to grow cannabis in there? Can we get facebook? etc. Exactly, it's a push for most of them to even get out of bed to go down the job center, never mind working in a bloody coal mine
I am Rod Hull Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 Im not. This is my point! Got the wrong end of that, sorry
Mark_w Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 I doubt any of us were alive during the War, but we all still respect and admire Winston Churchill. http://www.guardian.co.uk/theguardian/2002/nov/28/features11.g21 Not if some of these are true.
Manwell Pablo Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 Got the wrong end of that, sorry That's alright. Remember Thatcher is evil.
I am Rod Hull Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 Exactly, it's a push for most of them to even get out of bed to go down the job center, never mind working in a bloody coal mine Thats because we have a sick society, there is little incentive for some people to find work for £5.50 an hour when they can get by on benefits.
Uncle Albert Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 This topic is going off point, we're meant to be saying how much of c u n t she is not comparing her and Churchill.
MrSpaM Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 Thats because we have a sick society, there is little incentive for some people to find work for £5.50 an hour when they can get by on benefits. And Thatcher caused that as well did she? or was that the hopeless Labour government that all of these people with the problems insisted on voting in? They are all as bad as each other
yorkie1999 Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 Thats because we have a sick society, there is little incentive for some people to find work for £5.50 an hour when they can get by on benefits. That's because thatcher got rid of the unions and allowed employers to milk their workers for whatever they could get away with.

Manwell Pablo Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 If you're a Scouser, Minor, Sponger or Fenian. And always remember. Your boys took one hell of a beating. I think pretty much all of the Irish hate her to be fair, be like Paddys day all over again over there tonight.
I am Rod Hull Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 My mother-in-law just phoned up and asked if we`d heard the news (on speaker phone) "Shame isnt it, she did a lot of good for the country" said the m-i-l...... I chuntered a few remarks, nearly shouted fook off, had to bite my lip Typical Cockney disabled, my m-i-l
Uncle Albert Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 If you're a Scouser, Minor, Sponger or Fenian. And always remember. Your boys took one hell of a beating. And look who's having the last laugh? Us. That woman has now been made to look a liar and now we're all happy she is dead. Justice. It won't bring back the 96 but I hope they kick **** out of her when she rocks up to heaven thinking she owns the place.
I am Rod Hull Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 And Thatcher caused that as well did she? or was that the hopeless Labour government that all of these people with the problems insisted on voting in? They are all as bad as each other Thats the New Labour government, thank you very much. fooking sell outs.... That's because thatcher got rid of the unions and allowed employers to milk their workers for whatever they could get away with. Serfdom for the masses.
ozleicester Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 Evil woman. How anyone North of Watford can have anything but hate toward her amazes me. She is the cause of so many on benefits that the current tories are moaning about.
