davieG Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 Where there is discord, may we bring harmony. Where there is error, may we bring truth. Where there is doubt, may we bring faith. And where there is despair, may we bring hope Whatever your view of her its clear from this topic alone that these, like most politicians were hollow words.
Zingari Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 Is this the sort of event that everyone will remember what they were doing when they heard the news ?
Webbo Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 Is this the sort of event that everyone will remember what they were doing when they heard the news ? I was listening to the news at the time.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 Is this the sort of event that everyone will remember what they were doing when they heard the news ? I was watching the news about Thatcher dying when I learned that Thatcher was dead. That's how I'm going to remember it. PS, surely the thread title should be Thatch Dispatched?
cambridgefox Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 Well for a start when i was at school she stopped free milk. fooking good job,I hated the stuff.creamy and warm in the summer.
HEGGSY Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 Is this the sort of event that everyone will remember what they were doing when they heard the news ? Lefties? Throwing darts at a picture of Thatcher Matt P and the other Thatcher lovers? Wanking over a picture of Thatcher. I presume.
davieG Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 Is this the sort of event that everyone will remember what they were doing when they heard the news ? Well I was having a shit not sure what that indicates
Trav Le Bleu Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 fooking good job,I hated the stuff.creamy and warm in the summer. You went school in the Summer? Blimey, you had it rough!
BoneDog Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 Is this the sort of event that everyone will remember what they were doing when they heard the news ? Yes definitely! I think the whole country has gone bozo today and I can't remember anything quite like it
ScouseFox Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 Is this the sort of event that everyone will remember what they were doing when they heard the news ? I was on a bus and a fella announced it and it was followed by scenes of genuine unbridled joy from quite a few. Was weird.
johnny the fox Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 A lot of rewriting of history by all the guests on tv, by the end of the night she will of become a saint, who healed the sick cured the maimed ..then signed them off , and stopped their benefits..
Guest MattP Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 Lefties? Throwing darts at a picture of Thatcher Matt P and the other Thatcher lovers? Wanking over a picture of Thatcher. I presume. Quite a fine looking woman in her younger days. I'm off to have a glass of wine and to watch the Iron Lady again to toast this great woman. 'I do not know anyone who has got to the top without hard work, that is the recipe, it will not always get you to the top, but it will get you pretty close'
Zingari Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 I was watching the news about Thatcher dying when I learned that Thatcher was dead. That's how I'm going to remember it. PS, surely the thread title should be Thatch Dispatched? Yes or how about "Thatch yer lot" i was in the queue at Tescos when a nice looking young lady in the queue in front of me looked all flushed and grabbed hold my arm and told me . I thought for a split second my luck had changed !
Mark_w Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 This thread is fantastic, I wasn't born for another 16 until after she took over as PM. That's as far as my political awareness towards the woman goes. I wish I had a side to this argument so I could chip in Give me a sales pitch as to which side I should choose? Is she a lovely woman? Or is she a bitch? And, GO! The sensible, sane, posters seem to hate her. The likes of MattP and MooseBreath don't. That's how I've been judging her.
ousefox Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 'I do not know anyone who has got to the top without hard work' Surely she must have met her?
Charl91 Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 Where was I when I heard the news? Sadly, I was at the Job Centre.
Corky Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 Disappointed with no DB11 simple "RIP" post in this thread. Where are you, Daniel?
I am Rod Hull Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 'I do not know anyone who has got to the top without lying and backstabbing anyone that gets in their way, that is the recipe, it will not always get you to the top, but it will get you pretty close'
cambridgefox Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 You went school in the Summer? Blimey, you had it rough! in my day the summers started in June!it was horrible.scarred me.One things for sure there are a lot of people who were not around on here when she was in power so are talking shite,I was young but that fooking milk. Don't love, don't hate firmly on the fence.she made some absolute cracking decisions and some dreadful decisions ,I'm just not blinkered and lying like others, who are firmly for or against . One thing I have noticed today is interviews with politicians of the time of all sides praising her as a leader, although not agreeing with policies. Mind you I m a floating voter,so what do I know.
ADK Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 Yeah moaning about the lack of milk is abit stupid. If you look around a council estate you'll find the kids are more likely to be obese than lacking nutrition.
Deucalion Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 Is this the sort of event that everyone will remember what they were doing when they heard the news ? Personally I was lying on the sofa in a drugged up stuper. After around half an hour, I sat up, then asked my wife whether I had dreamt Thatcher was dead. (Had a tooth out, can't sit through dentistry, had to be sedated!)
The Doctor Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 This is the side at the pub I work at, with plenty of buckfast still to come - tonight is going to be bloody good fun.
ADK Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 Seems hypocritical to celebrate someones death, i honestly couldn't celebrate anyones death even if it were someone i'd wanted to kill. Unless it were a funeral of course.
ousefox Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 This is the side at the pub I work at, with plenty of buckfast still to come - tonight is going to be bloody good fun. Brilliant, off to the local in about an hour. Think the whole of the North is. Will keep pubs open for a year today will!
The Doctor Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 Seems hypocritical to celebrate someones death, i honestly couldn't celebrate anyones death even if it were someone i'd wanted to kill. Unless it were a funeral of course. She showed no remorse in destroying the lives of thousands, why should people show any remorse for her?
