GingerrrFox Posted 6 May 2013 Posted 6 May 2013 I see there is some debate between fans as to whether they prefer an all blue home kit or blue shirt and white shorts combo. Personally I prefer all blue. Lets get this sorted once and for all. Also good point from Harry - LCFC, can you please state why you voted for your choice?
Kitchandro Posted 6 May 2013 Posted 6 May 2013 Where's the option for blue shirts, white shorts, white socks?
Harry - LCFC Posted 6 May 2013 Posted 6 May 2013 Good point to raise. Would like to see the balance of opinion on this one.
GingerrrFox Posted 6 May 2013 Author Posted 6 May 2013 Where's the option for blue shirts, white shorts, white socks? Do you actually prefer that?
Kitchandro Posted 6 May 2013 Posted 6 May 2013 Do you actually prefer that? Yep. Best kits we ever had were white socks.
foxfanazer Posted 6 May 2013 Posted 6 May 2013 This isn't a trick question to see who's a real fan is it?
GingerrrFox Posted 6 May 2013 Author Posted 6 May 2013 Yep. Best kits we ever had were white socks. Your wish is my command
Kitchandro Posted 6 May 2013 Posted 6 May 2013 Your wish is my command Someone else has voted for it too
GingerrrFox Posted 6 May 2013 Author Posted 6 May 2013 This isn't a trick question to see who's a real fan is it? If you don't agree with my choice you are automatically typecast as a "Plastic, Non-real Binhead". All those who choose correctly are "Real Fans".
ADK Posted 6 May 2013 Posted 6 May 2013 But we can't see who voted for what. Anyway i think the all blue kit just looks better.
cjslcfc Posted 6 May 2013 Posted 6 May 2013 Just to be that arsehole. I have a feeling it might be "which do you prefer?"
Harry - LCFC Posted 6 May 2013 Posted 6 May 2013 Further question - Why? Do people have a particular reason why they prefer one over the other? I like all blue more because it's different, no other club does that on a regular basis and it could be something uniquely Leicester.
ADK Posted 6 May 2013 Posted 6 May 2013 Yeah it's about uniqueness, all blue isn't totally unique but not too many clubs do it. It just looks better for some reason too. Blue and white seems like such a common kit colour.
Kitchandro Posted 6 May 2013 Posted 6 May 2013 As I said I like the white socks because most of our classic kits are white socks. In the mid 60s when we were good, in the 70s when we were good, in the 80s with Gary. The first admiral one and the one from 73-74 are our best kits IMO, and the umbro one in the early 80s probably 3rd or 4th. They just look the most stylish and I've always considered white socks to be more Leicester than Everton or Ipswich, who seem to have had blue socks more often. Iconic Leicester colours are really blue shirt, white shorts and white socks. White shorts and blue socks would be my second choice, and we've still had some good ones (95-97 and 2000-02 in particular) but generally I think they look less stylish. I don't really see all blue as Leicester, we've not gone down that route many times, so I'd say that's my least favourite combo. The Topps Tiles kit was the final nail in the coffin for them. I do love the play-off winning kits though and they were both all blue.
Dan Posted 6 May 2013 Posted 6 May 2013 Blue - White - Blue Only option for me. I'm glad it's been that for years and that's how I'd keep it for good.
ealingfox Posted 7 May 2013 Posted 7 May 2013 ooooof now you mention it, blue-white-white should definitely get a run out again, sounds sexy.
Fox in the North Posted 7 May 2013 Posted 7 May 2013 I'm not keen on the all blue look. It has to be white shorts for me. I wouldn't mind it if we annually swapped sock colours though, just to keep it interesting like
Weller in Tights Posted 7 May 2013 Posted 7 May 2013 We're the boys in blue and white We like to sing and we like to fight REPEAT An old chant from years ago, but it says it all about kit colour
Bilo Posted 7 May 2013 Posted 7 May 2013 Where's the option for blue, blue, white? Bit too Chelsea for my liking.
indierich06 Posted 7 May 2013 Posted 7 May 2013 The thing is, we've had blue kits with white shorts for a few years now, but half the time we have to swap in blue shoots anyway because they've clashed with other teams or whatever, so we may as well just go all blue and do it properly.
Jace Posted 7 May 2013 Posted 7 May 2013 I haven't been a true supporter since the days of Brian Little so all blue from this pap
