Bilo Posted 12 May 2013 Share Posted 12 May 2013 They're an embarrassing club full stop. Loaning in a team from Italy. Failed to sell 2,000 tickets on Thursday. Failed to sell out for their biggest home game in seven years. Totally outsung all game at home. Their fans immediately log onto Leicester forums within seconds of a fortuitous victory. You forgot to mention totally outplaying us. Grow up, that's football, we may all be feeling down but lets not get carried away. There's another season, another chance to go for promotion. Life's like a Porn Movie, full of ups and downs, deal with it and move on.
Yojoe36 Posted 12 May 2013 Share Posted 12 May 2013 Well it's clubs like Watford that go up. Reading, Blackpool, Hull, QPR etc. Teams like Forest, Derby and Sheff Weds miss out.

sphericalfox Posted 12 May 2013 Share Posted 12 May 2013 Chin up lads, whatever happens to Watford they're fooked. They've got to let most of their loans go back to Italy and Granada, and the transfer imposed on them until the end of August will stop them building any sort of team next year, thus if they are still in the CCC they'll be smashed week in week out by the likes of Donny, Bournemouth and Derby. If they somehow get past the favourites Brighton they'll break every record Derby put in place for the worst Prem team EVER!
Basildon Fox Posted 12 May 2013 Share Posted 12 May 2013 I could not give a toss whether they go up or not, all that matters is that it will not be us. Slagging off the stadium announcer. FFS get a grip.
gaz63 Posted 12 May 2013 Share Posted 12 May 2013 Unlucky guys, anything could have happened. Although I thought Knockaert dived, I think most players would have gone down in that situation. Poor defending from our part, and the ref probably had no option. Its a shame that people see us as some transient side. In the end they fought for the shirt just as hard as the Leicester players over the two legs, and they care about what happens. Only one side has had more youth players on the pitch than we have this season - so there's plenty of Watford youngsters that have played their part this season. The club are looking to sign all of the players on loan, and as long as we have it approved by the FL, we can. They haven't stopped us bringing in players - contrary to what the media have said As I said, its gutting for you guys. But you'll come back stronger - we had the exact same feeling of complete agony last Saturday! Anyway, this league is more fun than the prem

fazzyfox Posted 12 May 2013 Share Posted 12 May 2013 A lot of their players would never sign a long term contract to commit themselves to the club because they know they are better than this standard, or soon will be, if they had needed to bring those players in for transfer fees (a) they would to have been able to afford it and (b) they wouldn't come anyway, the playing field this season for the 23 clubs using traditional squad building methods has been about as level as Barnet's. Bugger, Why didn't we think of it first!

gaz63 Posted 12 May 2013 Share Posted 12 May 2013 To clarify I'm not having a go at the club. The announcer was an absolute clown. What did he do? I didn't register much after the goal Our fans were absolute idiots for running onto the pitch, unfortunately every club has a collection of ****** that don't think. I thought it was going to come back and bite us big time when the ball got played into the box at the end
Super_horns Posted 12 May 2013 Share Posted 12 May 2013 TBF he goes mad over most wins...nevermind when one takes you to Wembley and in such dramactic style! There is a reason why people like him are on the tannoy - like their own voice and to wip up the crowd (afterall somebody has to!) Must admit I wasn't quite sure we should be singing "we're going up.." yet but everyone gets carried away.

Its still a bit of a lottery, and for all our good football there's silly, silly mistakes in equal measure. The bottom line is, that we were incredibly fortunate not to lose. I wouldn't be too downhearted about today, as you were miles better than you were a couple of weeks ago. Knowing our luck this season, Wembley will give us the same heartbreak as you experienced today!
philce Posted 12 May 2013 Share Posted 12 May 2013 2 things, Why is the mascot allowed to stand behind our player banging a drum when we're taking a corner? Can someone explain to the "announcer" that getting to the playoffs is not worthy of ranting on and on "we are going up". Cant even sell out that tin pot ground. Sorry I know thats 3 but just got back and am still pissed off big time.

Sorry I know thats 3 but just got back and am still pissed off big time. We're not a big side, get over it. We're within 30 miles of Arsenal, Chelsea and Spurs. Our population is less than 80,000, so its a miracle that we even manage to get as many as we do. I don't really see the point in gloating over the size of our club? We admittedly should have improved our ground over the years, but we've had more numpty owners than I've had hot dinners.
DennisNedry Posted 12 May 2013 Share Posted 12 May 2013 Watford were the better side, but what do you expect when they only field 3 of their own players ffs? It is always the tinpot clubs who go up, did you see the empty seats behind their goal?Unbelievable!! Really hope Brighton go up now (or Palace).
