Players for next season, Who do want, Who's free?

Recommended Posts

i have also suggested creswell in another thread.

we all know pearson wont play this way though.

Thought it looked good, and it would just allow Sako/adomah, Knocky and the striker to stay up top with no need to defend.

Would like us to sign tomlin though, but again cannot see it happening, we will probably sign another center mid like james/king/drinky who is 'decent', but offers nothing to the attacking or defending side of the game.

Yeah it's a sad reality really. Tomlin always seems to be near the top of the assist stats in the league and would be a good signing. We need two centre mids, one who's an absolute beast who will properly battle and the other as a flair player to assist the front man. Clearly we seem stuck with three who can do a bit of both.

Zakuani available. Central defender at Peterborough. Excellent at this level -never seen him have a bad game. Quick and strong in the air (despite his height). Wants to leave the Posh and has been placed on the transfer list. £1-£1.5m ought to do it. Him and Wes would be awesome at the back. Get him in.

don't know much about him other than that he's been part of one of the worst defences in the championship twice in the last 3 years

I'm sure Morgan was also part of a terrible defence at forest before we signed him.

When trying to sign a player, you focus on him not the team around him.

Wondering whether anyone rates Karl Henry. The general consensus is a need for a tough midfielder, and lets be honest they don't come much tougher than him. He uses the ball well, can lead the midfield and has bags of experience. Plus he would surely snap at the chance to play in the championship rather than league 1.

No,he is a pile of shite.

Karl Henry and using the ball well? lol. The guy is an embarrassment to football, rather have someone like N'Daw who can actually do something other than try to break people's legs.

Must have a short memory. Against us earlier in the season he absolutely ran the game, without Konchesky's shot out of nothing we'd have lost convincingly. It's also a bit short sighted to say that someone who was on the fringes of the England team 2 years ago can't use the ball well. Don't just focus on the obvious and try to look at a more rounded view of him, I think you'll find he does a lot more than "break people's legs".

WHY?? They were the players who got a premiership club relegated straight out of the championship! They were worse than Huddersfield and they were bad. Surely we want to be looking at players who haven't proved that they can fail at this level

He's a liability. We'd end up playing with 10 men more often than not

Sako absolutely terrified us at the KP and has impressed all season, Ebanks-Blake scored 14 Championship goals in a dreadful team and Tomlin is the sort of big hard fvcker we need.

Don't be snobbish about their origins if they're good enough.

Not being snobby, I'm just saying that if players get a team like Wolves relegated they can't be great!

This is pretty much the same wolves side which were surviving in the premier league under mccarthy.

Players like Sako and Ebanks-blake have nothing to do with the defensive side of the game, same with Tomlin, so how do you suggest they do anymore?

Take Tomlin for example, most combined goals and assists in the league, cannot do anymore than that.

Are you Tomiln's F**King agent he isn't the required standard of player for City there is a reason why we released him he is crap!

The same reason Barcelona released Fabregas?

Maybe we should release king? knocky? dyer? marshall? james? drinky?

Because they have all achieved less than tomlin this season.

His stats tell you everything to know, he has been the juan mata of the championship this season (not his style of play obviously, but with regards to his stats).

We would be fools not to be interested in a proven championship midfielder who is still young, guaranteed at least 5-10 goals from midfield, and will chip in with assists as well. He will enhance the squad and give us something different.

People talking about strikers though, would anyone take Fryatt back because can't see him getting a game in the PL and obviously likes NP

yes.

would much rather see his name in the squad than vardy or waghorn.

He was underrated here.
