Lamby Posted 24 August 2013 Posted 24 August 2013 I've seen us play in just about worse conditions twice. We did start chanting "3-1 and you didn't win" to their fans
Libertine Dream Posted 24 August 2013 Posted 24 August 2013 Bolton not looking good, surely they can't be within the FFP rules either, big problems for them I feel. Still got parachute payments so it won't make a difference for now
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 24 August 2013 Posted 24 August 2013 ****ing Charlton are the most arsewipe club around.
Lamby Posted 24 August 2013 Posted 24 August 2013 ****ing Charlton are the most arsewipe club around. And what's you reasoning behind that?
Brainy Posted 24 August 2013 Posted 24 August 2013 Donny fans are moaning about it, if it was reversed they'd want it abandoned too If you were winning you'd be crying it was abandoned, don't kid yourself.
Simmo86 Posted 24 August 2013 Posted 24 August 2013 Ipswich kit supplied by Mitre but Mick Mccarthy wearing Adidas training gear on the sidelines.
Finnaldo Posted 24 August 2013 Posted 24 August 2013 If they had any dignity Charlton would let Donny score their three goals and then score there's. However I doubt they'll be that sporting.
Larry_LCFC Posted 24 August 2013 Posted 24 August 2013 Ipswich v Leicester at Portman Road in 2010? Still cant believe that match carried on. Must be one of the most ridiculous decisions ever.
Manwell Pablo Posted 24 August 2013 Posted 24 August 2013 Can't believe James Vaughn has 7 goals and we aren't even out of August yet.
Fox in the North Posted 24 August 2013 Posted 24 August 2013 As if millwall forgot their away kit hahahaha
Lamby Posted 24 August 2013 Posted 24 August 2013 If they had any dignity Charlton would let Donny score their three goals and then score there's. However I doubt they'll be that sporting. Their fans want them to only play the last 45mins and them keep the score as it is in the replay
Carl the Llama Posted 24 August 2013 Posted 24 August 2013 Their fans want them to only play the last 45mins and them keep the score as it is in the replay Why's that hilarious? It would be perfectly fair.
Finnaldo Posted 24 August 2013 Posted 24 August 2013 Their fans want them to only play the last 45mins and them keep the score as it is in the replay The fact you're so joyous over the fact you got a match called off makes me hope you lose the replay 8-0.In even worse conditions.
Lamby Posted 24 August 2013 Posted 24 August 2013 Why's that hilarious? It would be perfectly fair. Where in the rule book does it state that you have to continue the game with the same scoreline at the start of a replayed game? The fact you're so joyous over the fact you got a match called off makes me hope you lose the replay 8-0. In even worse conditions. Don't worry, we've got them away on a Tuesday night in January so that'll be fecking fun (not)
Manwell Pablo Posted 24 August 2013 Posted 24 August 2013 The willy puller from Charlton is right for once, needed abandoning and should start from 0-0

Don't worry, we've got them away on a Tuesday night in January so that'll be fecking fun (not) The debate wasn't whether it's in the rules or not, it was why a perfectly sane and logical idea is apparently hilarious. Are you really that much of a cvnt?

Are you really that much of a cvnt? It is ludicrous. Games have been abandoned and replayed due to the weather since the sport started over 100 years ago I don't ever remember anyone only playing half a game or allowing another team to have their league back (the one exception being us against Forest which had nothing to do with the weather) I'm all for abusing Lamby but he's right here.

He's right that it won't happen and that it should have been called off, but I haven't contested that, just his cvntish reaction when frankly it would make sense to just play the 2nd half. After all: They did manage to complete a full half where both teams were equally disadvantaged so it's not like Donny gained anything extra from the conditions, whereas Charlton will gain the advantage of having a 2 goal deficit wiped out.

Correction, the pitch managed 27mins before it had to be suspended while the groundsmen tried to dry it off a bit, then a 30min break while that happened, then the rest of the first half was played

He's not really being a cvnt though is he he's just telling it how it is. He is pointing out the rule book clearly states what happens in the case of a match being abandoned and that is that the match is replayed from the start. And that's the way it should be imo The one thing I disagree with from a Doncaster perspective is that under current rules that Red Card will still get sent in despite the game being abandoned when the conditions played a large part in it,
Kitchandro Posted 25 August 2013 Posted 25 August 2013 It's hardly fair that Donny's lead will be wiped out, no matter what way you look at it.
GingerrrFox Posted 25 August 2013 Posted 25 August 2013 If we were getting dicked on 3-1 and the game got abandoned and had to be replayed I would be ecstatic that it was 0-0 from the start but also know deep down it's not fair and a game should be restarted with the same score line and started from the same time in this case half time.
Lamby Posted 25 August 2013 Posted 25 August 2013 It's hardly fair that Donny's lead will be wiped out, no matter what way you look at it. Same as when Barnsley were down at Plymouth winning 4-1 and it got abandoned then, that had to start as 0-0 again
Brainy Posted 25 August 2013 Posted 25 August 2013 Same as when Barnsley were down at Plymouth winning 4-1 and it got abandoned then, that had to start as 0-0 again Oh ok then, its happened before which means its totally fair.
