Spent £40 million since he's been there and they sit three points from the relegation zone. Lucky there were three worse teams than Villa last year, they could have easily hone down. They'll struggle again this year. If it was McLeish, or anybody that managed Birmingham, they would have been sacked by now.

You lot chanted for Lambert to join, you lot thought O'Neill spent too much (maybe he did) but then you got the disinterested Houllier, inept McLeish and now Lambert. Lambert was the fans choice.

A Penalty and yellow card should suffice. It's not too much, what if he had missed the penalty? Everton would have 11 men and a definite goal would have been denied by a foul. Maybe 3 match ban is too much, a red card certainly isn't. You can't go hacking down people when they're about to put it into an empty net.

I hadn't thought about that, a one match ban would probably be about right.
