Father Ted Posted 22 December 2013 Posted 22 December 2013 Tbf, Wilshere is still living on the day that he outclassed Xavi and Iniesta at the Emirates. He is far too inconsistent.
Corky Posted 22 December 2013 Posted 22 December 2013 Did anyone see Martinez celebrating the winner? DOES HE NOT KNOW YOU CANNOT CELEBRATE AGAINST YOUR OLD CLUB!!?
Jimothy Posted 22 December 2013 Posted 22 December 2013 Err I don't think the midfield played particularly well, but Lamela got stuck in more than I thought he would, Bentaleb kept the ball well when he came on, still the Southampton could have won, Spurs just got a couple lucky break for their 2nd and third goal. Play that team in that formation and they'd lose most weeks, I'm sure of it.
Dan Posted 23 December 2013 Posted 23 December 2013 Another weekend. Another Suarez piss-take. The bloke is a sensational footballer and the best the league's had since Ronaldo.
Stadt Posted 23 December 2013 Posted 23 December 2013 Bale last season was sensational but Suarez is putting him to shame, Liverpool would want 60m+ easy.
AKCJ Posted 23 December 2013 Posted 23 December 2013 Another weekend. Another Suarez piss-take. The bloke is a sensational footballer and the best the league's had since Ronaldo. I think he's better than the Manchester United Ronaldo.
HEGGSY Posted 23 December 2013 Posted 23 December 2013 If Bale is worth 100m, surely Suarez has to be valued higher? The bloke is insanely good
Jimothy Posted 23 December 2013 Posted 23 December 2013 Sherwood taking over at Spurs until the end of next season.
Stadt Posted 23 December 2013 Posted 23 December 2013 Carragher and Neville arguing about the 50/50 :xmaslaugh: It wasn't a foul so saying it's a red is preposterous.
stix Posted 23 December 2013 Posted 23 December 2013 Carragher and Neville arguing about the 50/50 :xmaslaugh: It wasn't a foul so saying it's a red is preposterous. Great television that. I love those guys man.
Bert Posted 23 December 2013 Posted 23 December 2013 Had 0-0 written all over it that. Mourinho away at a title rival pretty much always ends up that way.
StanSP Posted 24 December 2013 Posted 24 December 2013 So 2 points separate the top 5. Where do we all think the Premier League trophy is going. I still think Arsenal will grab it but I'd love it if it stays as tight as this til the final game in May!

I still think Arsenal will grab it but I'd love it if it stays as tight as this til the final game in May! I'd love Arsenal to do it, and I'm definitely in the camp of people who think they can, but I just think now Man City seem to have sorted the away form, it's there's to win. They've blown away most teams at home, so the game against Liverpool should be interesting.

I wouldn't mind if Arsenal/Man City was the top 2. I think there's only so long Liverpool can rely on Suarez. Bold call as he's bang on fire right now. All it takes is one big tackle too many on him and he's out.

And now you've quoted it, it's there forever! Yeah I agree on Liverpool. Might be a bit harsh to say they are a one man team, they're obviously not. Henderson, Coutinho, Gerrard, Johnson, Sterling etc have all been playing well, just that Saurez scores so many of they're goals, if they did lose him for whatever reason, I can't see them filling that void, even with a fit again Sturridge. Just think if Man City can do to Liverpool what they did to Arsenal, Man Utd and Spurs at home, it would be a huge statement. Arsenal really could do with a new striker. Giroud has gone off the boil of late and even if he had, they can't rely on him all season, with only Bendtner as back up. I like Podolski, but I see him as a totally different type of player, so isn't a direct replacement. Depending on what Wenger does in January has a huge bearing on Arsenal.

Wonder if he is allowed (or wants to?) splash the cash again in January on an out-and-out striker. Someone prolific. Now that they are in with a shout and near the top of the table, their pulling power has increased. Wasn't necessarily saying Liverpool are a one-man team - just that he has such a bearing. Read a stat over the weekend where he's been involved in something like 19 of Liverpool's last goals either through scoring or assisting. I'm just amazed at how he just never stops running and never stops with/without the ball. Tireless player. I've spoken to many Liverpool fans recently too and they say they look a better team these days without Gerrard. There's no question what kind of impact he can have on a game but Henderson/Lucas?Allen have all played so well they are keeping Gerrard out of matches and for the better it seems. Henderson has been their second best player this season I think. He's improved immensely and if he keeps it up it'll be a farce if Hodgson doesn't take him to Brazil. He is finally justifying the inflated price tag put on his head.
ScouseFox Posted 24 December 2013 Posted 24 December 2013 hahaha Jose's press conference, "Arsenal just love to cry about tackles"

Suarez has scored more goals so far this season himself (19) than either Tottenham, Stoke, Hull, Aston Villa, Norwich, Cardiff, West Brom, West Ham, Crystal Palace, Fulham or Sunderland on the whole.

Don't know mate. I don't tend to listen to what they say - I really do only watch it for the highlights these days . As for the goals alone - definitely seen that one. In a league table he'd be in the top half all by himself.
Stadt Posted 24 December 2013 Posted 24 December 2013 I think Arsenal should go in for Jackson MartÃnez, his goal scoring record is fantastic.
Guest shearfox Posted 24 December 2013 Posted 24 December 2013 The PL is the most exciting league in the world, just two points separating the top five at Christmas quite unbelievable. Still difficult to say who is going to take the title but I'm going for Man City, they seem to be the most in form team at the moment and then Liverpool. The smaller teams are definitely better than they have ever been in the league and are taking points off those top sides. This is making for a very exciting title race.
Guest ttfn Posted 24 December 2013 Posted 24 December 2013 City are going to run away with it. I think they'll win it by 6+ points
