Premier League 2013/14 Stuff it in here!

I suppose you right in some ways, and if it's true about none of his signings were his ideas then you've got to say that's little unfair.

I very much doubt he had much of/the final say in most of the transfers. There's always a lot of focus on Daniel Levy and to a lesser extent, Franco Baldini. They're the 2 who manage the transfers and it's those 2 who should come in for some stick as well. They bought players with potential and yet they're not willing to give the manager any time to realise the players' potential.

It's tough for a boss when your own manager does the dealings and then expects you to finish the jigsaw with uneven pieces.

Sorry but sacking him is ridiculous. Does anyone have any patience anymore?

He was always on a hiding to nothing. Following a successful, to an extent, manager who is very popular, AVB had to do something very special to win people over. He was a bit unlucky last season, finishing fifth with three more points than the year before. Yesterday he looked like a man who didn't know how to turn it around, every game from now would be a question of "would this be his last?".

The next man has a good position to come in to, handily placed with a talented squad, so certainly not a lost cause. Reckon it's the last we'll see of AVB in England.

I agree with the final part, he's had his second chance. He won't join a club outside the top six and no top six club will want him.

What do people think of these comments?

Is Tan right? Is he thinking of FFP? Is publicly criticising your manager too harsh?

I don't think he's phrased it very well, but I can see his point if they overspent in the summer by £15m, as he claims. Also, perhaps it wasn't the wisest by Mackay to raise supporters expectations by claiming that he needs three big signings, without having talked to the board.

That said, Tan sounds like a petulant, immature kid. Again. Talking to Mackay privately about his concerns would've been a far more sensible solution.

Vincent Tan is a cock. He doesn't know the first thing about football and embarrasses himself every time he's on camera.

That being said, he's a successful business man and has a point that Cardiff have spent more than enough to stay up. Mackay saying he needed more money to make them safe seems to show he might be a bit out of his depth, I can see them being in a spot of financial trouble again if they come down.

I can see a TV show featuring Assem Allam and Vincent Tan to be very successful.

Imagine "The Only Way Is Essex" meets "The Apprentice".

Oh lord, please help us all.

Wouldn't have the slightest sympathy.

Tan is a moron for coming out with those comments publicly (and a moron in general, really), but he's also right about the fact that Mackay has had plenty of money to spend already. Let's be honest; £50m, to a club that isn't fighting for the title, is a lot of money, and they really should be able to comfortably survive after investing that much into the squad.

Tan should be crucified for wearing the terrible red shirt over the top of whatever he normally wears it looks absolutely shít.

Is there a league cup thread??

If ever you needed two minutes of video evidence of why Mark Hughes shouldn't be allowed to be a football manager the time leading up to Uniteds second goal is it!!

Hate the man

What did he do? Didn't watch the game.

@BBCSport: Cardiff boss Malky Mackay is told by owner Vincent Tan in a highly critical email to resign or he will be sacked, BBC Sport understands.

Be sacked Malkay. Horrible way to treat a manager who's done nothing but good for the club.

Who's going to sign up to join that circus? lol

Tan will get all he deserves if he can't find a decent manager to replace him.

Malky Mackay is one of the most underrated managers in the top four divisions for me.

Treated like shit by the looks of it, what a twat their owner is.

A West Ham fan view on it.

Shame really for your club 70 percent got behind him as other wise you could have got together and prevented it from happening when you were warned , but no the majority didn't listen, your club got sold down the river. Not sure how you get out of this one now restoring your history , identity and pride, seems it's all a bit far too late as you got muddled listening to the likes of Gywn Davies propaganda , that's the trouble many would rather listen to the Spin rather than the down right facts and truth. Oh well maybe you still have time. Don't trust that Memhat Delman either he's a slime ball, only in it for the financial returns assisting the stock market floatation, well known back stabber in circles.
