Vacamion Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 What is Adebayor wearing? It's hideous. It looks like he is wrapped in a massive scarf, which, if you pulled it, would make him rotate. A lot.
Leicesterpool Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 Gossip on twitter is Villas-Boas as parted-company with Spurs, not official yet of course.
Corky Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 Gossip on twitter is Villas-Boas as parted-company with Spurs, not official yet of course. Bit late really, Spurs normally sack managers at half-time.
Jimothy Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 Can't imagine Nathan Dyers ankle is going to be in very good shape after this! Ouch!

Swarles Barkley Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 Nice bit of loyalty... Tottenham rejects Benoit Assou-Ekotto and Emmanuel Adebayor were (unusually) quick off the blocks to stick the boot into their side after the crushing 5-0 defeat to Liverpool. Exiled duo Assou-Ekotto and Adebayor posted a picture of themselves smiling and posing (rather unfortunately making up the number five with their fingers) after the Reds’ rout at White Hart Lane. Assou-Ekotto, currently on loan at QPR, captioned the picture on Twitter with: ‘What a game tonight….happy to see my man @E_Adebayor ( ).’ that is utterly shameful. I would be disgusted if a leicester player did that no matter what quarrels they had with the manager. Its a real shame that money cant buy class isnt it...
marko Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 I imagined that performance didn't i?! No, Spurs really were THAT bad.
Jimothy Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 I imagined that performance didn't i?! Was it just me or did Saurez not seem totally at it today, but he still scored twice and set up the rest? I've seen him play much better. It's bloody scary how good he is right now!
StanSP Posted 16 December 2013 Posted 16 December 2013 AVB gone! No surprise! Final nail in the coffin yesterday. Wonder who they'll get. Gotta go with experience this time surely?
Dan Posted 16 December 2013 Posted 16 December 2013 No real surprise. Regardless of how long it's taken, there hasn't even been signs that they're worth anywhere near what they've spent.
Leicesterpool Posted 16 December 2013 Posted 16 December 2013 No Surprise you can't spend over 100million and get beat 0-5 and 0-6. So who'll replace him? Pardew maybe? or can they lure Klinsmann to match both Spurs and the Usa? it's between them two i think!

They could probably get Rudi Garcia cheaper than Pardew.
Guest MattP Posted 16 December 2013 Posted 16 December 2013 Sorry but sacking him is ridiculous. Does anyone have any patience anymore?
Leicesterpool Posted 16 December 2013 Posted 16 December 2013 Sorry but sacking him is ridiculous. Does anyone have any patience anymore? Look at the results! Lost at home to West Ham 0-3 who rarely score as it is, have a 100 shots at goal against Newcastle and still lose 0-1 & get smashed to pieces by Man City and Liverpool.

Lost at home to West Ham 0-3 who rarely score as it is, have a 100 shots at goal against Newcastle and still lose 0-1 & get smashed to pieces by Man City and Liverpool. Yeah so where's the patience? It's a bad patch which is accentuated and emphasised by the actual manner of the defeats and other teams around them picking up points. Where's the patience to get a virtually new squad together? Arsenal have done it with Wenger so why can't Spurs do it? You just can't guarantee instant success so why are the Spurs heirarchy expecting it from AVB. Transformed the squad by bringing in a plethora of players and now AVB is the one who pays the price? Why should they expect him to work some magic instantly? I swear chairman and directors don't live in the real world and live in some fantasy computer game.
Fox in the North Posted 16 December 2013 Posted 16 December 2013 Stupid thing is is that they're only 5 points off the champions league. Yes they have played bad against the big teams when they should have at least turned up, but they're not exactly in dire straits on the whole.
21st Century Fox Posted 16 December 2013 Posted 16 December 2013 The heaven's have aligned for the return of Christian Gross.
Dan Posted 16 December 2013 Posted 16 December 2013 I stand by what I said before on AVB - I think it's absolutely criminal how they can spend so much money and then sack him before we've even turned over the calendar year. I'm led to believe that it isn't him making the signings - but surely he has a say? If he doesn't then that is appalling organisation in my opinion. Typical short-termism of the modern day Premier League as we've come to expect, but I do wonder if AVB just isn't cut out for this league. Twice he's had a chance and twice he's delivered little.
One Arm Babba Posted 16 December 2013 Posted 16 December 2013 Laughable really but you could see it coming when sky kept focusing on Levys scowling face. It's ironic really, that he has became a hitleresque dictator at Spurs. I don't see any logic in the decision, he back AVB to the tune of £100 million in the summer, yes they got smashed by City and Liverpool, but they're still in fifth, not going down and still haven't gelled as a team. It's frightening considering they are in 5th and can only get better. I feel sorry for the fans, they probably thought this year would be the year spurs broke through their glass ceiling in the premier league years.

I suppose you right in some ways, and if it's true about none of his signings were his ideas then you've got to say that's little unfair.
