Guest MattP Posted 24 June 2013 Posted 24 June 2013 It's really only a matter of time before you end up in organized crime, you know that right? Some people would aleady say I am.
Finnegan Posted 24 June 2013 Posted 24 June 2013 Some people would aleady say I am. I think between you, me and 21CF we basically know everything there is to know about dealing and racketeering. We should go in to business. I've got a good mate in the police, so we're sorted there.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 24 June 2013 Posted 24 June 2013 24 The IT Crowd Blackadder Firefly (though never caught it until after Serenity) Mythbusters Monty Python Fawlty Towers Whose Line Is It Anyway? HIGNFY The Walking Dead Star Trek (original series) Big Train Mary Whitehouse Experience Outnumbered Pointless Superstars (back in the 80s and 90s when they had actual current superstars.) What was the gameshow that had 4 contestants using the Total War engine to re-enact... just remembered! This... Super geeky; loved it! Also in the supergeek league...
Finnegan Posted 24 June 2013 Posted 24 June 2013 I can't BELIEVE I left out both Community and Firefly. I hang my head in SHAME.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 24 June 2013 Posted 24 June 2013 I think everyone who has posted in here (at least over the age of 20), will at some point in the day, smack their forehead with their palm.
Finnegan Posted 24 June 2013 Posted 24 June 2013 Yeah, definitely, I thought that when writing the list. Knew I'd miss some very obvious ones. Firefly is one of the most endearing bits of characterization of all time.
RonnieTodger Posted 24 June 2013 Posted 24 June 2013 US Office Only Fools & Horses How I Met your Mother 90210 Derek So hard to put just 5 in!
Fox92 Posted 24 June 2013 Posted 24 June 2013 I think everyone who has posted in here (at least over the age of 20), will at some point in the day, smack their forehead with their palm. Don't think my list is that bad? 1. Fawlty Towers 2. Only Fools And Horses 3. Have I Got News For You 4. Not Going Out 5. An Idiot Abroad (I know it's each to their own, but I really can't see how people watch the likes of Eastenders, especially at my age).
goose2010 Posted 24 June 2013 Posted 24 June 2013 US Office Only Fools & Horses How I Met your Mother 90210 Derek So hard to put just 5 in! wow really??
Trav Le Bleu Posted 24 June 2013 Posted 24 June 2013 Don't think my list is that bad? I'm basically saying that the older you are the more TV you will have watched, some of it a very long time ago and you won't have seen it for years. Which will make it easier for younger people to pick a top 5.
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 24 June 2013 Posted 24 June 2013 (I know it's each to their own, but I really can't see how people watch the likes of Eastenders, especially at my age). I'll admit I watch it (mainly because the missus does) but I certainly wouldn't list it as one of my top shows. It's a shameful vice. However, the girl who plays Lola gets hotter every week - makes it a lot easier to endure
21st Century Fox Posted 24 June 2013 Posted 24 June 2013 I think between you, me and 21CF we basically know everything there is to know about dealing and racketeering. We should go in to business. I've got a good mate in the police, so we're sorted there. I know a guy who was in the Camorra in his youth, he now lives in Wales and quite stereotypically owns a pizzeria We can start networking right away. Just so we're clear my thing is going to be wearing a flat cap and having half a face It's impossible to pick just five shows... I could go Deadwood, Rome and The Sopranos but the I'd need an intricate and complex play-off system to determine the last two slots. That list would also change every day and so many comedies would get neglected.
ScouseFox Posted 24 June 2013 Posted 24 June 2013 If we're talking quiz/game shows too then 8 out of 10 Cats and Fort Boyard get a mention. Honourable mentions to current shows like Made in Chelsea and Geordie Shore, too. Amazing tele.
MooseBreath Posted 24 June 2013 Posted 24 June 2013 1) The Wire 2) Breaking Bad 3) The Office UK 4) Boardwalk/Sopranos 5) Simpsons/Neighbours circa 98 or whenever Tad and Billy were around and Karl was a top shagger. I bent the rules a bit to get more than five in. Come at me.
Guest MattP Posted 24 June 2013 Posted 24 June 2013 Basically, most of us couldn't live without HBO. Shows what The Sorpranos did tor television, without that HBO wouldn't have got past the year 2000.
goose2010 Posted 24 June 2013 Posted 24 June 2013 Basically, most of us couldn't live without HBO. Think we should really all bow down to HBO and its fantastic shows!!

I'll let MattP shag my mum if I can have knuckle dusters that double as a knife and beat an art student hipster up with a table leg. Everyone's going to want in on this, you know.

Webbo Posted 24 June 2013 Posted 24 June 2013 PS: Webbo is Nelson. I don't know what programme that's from so I'm going to assume he's the good looking rebel who plays by his own set of rules.
Wakeyfox Posted 24 June 2013 Posted 24 June 2013 1: The One Show 2: Two and a Half Men 3: Three in a Bed 4: Four Rooms 5: Five Children and It
Finnegan Posted 24 June 2013 Posted 24 June 2013 I don't know what programme that's from so I'm going to assume he's the good looking rebel who plays by his own set of rules. You have no idea how ironic that is.
RonnieTodger Posted 24 June 2013 Posted 24 June 2013 wow really?? Yeah, I know it's pretty bad but it's too addictive! Can't remember the last time I missed an episode! New one on at 9 tonight by the way
