Football Presenters Dream Team

Recommended Posts

With Lawro being phased out by the Beeb and BT Sport putting together a fairly terrible line-up of pundits, it got me thinking who I would pick to present my dream football coverage.

The slots you have to fill are:

- Presenter

- In-Studio Analyst 1

- In-Studio Analyst 2

- Commentator

- Ex-Professional Player co-commentator

The only rules are they have to be still alive (so no Kenneth Wolstenholme) and the In-Studio Analysts can be ex-players, journalists, celebrity fans etc.

Personally I'd go with:

Presenter - James Richardson

In-Studio Analyst 1 -  Sid Lowe (Football journalist & Football Weekly guest)

In-Studio Analyst 2 - Barry Glendenning (Guardian Sport journalist & Football Weekly guest)

Commentator - Peter Brackley

Ex-Professional Player co-commentator - Kevin Kilbane

Basically I'd go for a Football Weekly/Football Italia mash-up.

Procrastination done... over to you....

Dixon talks a load of shite that concludes to absolutely nothing, just repeats what Keane says and wipes his bum cheeks.

Dixon talks a lot of sense for me.

Linekar

Neville

Savage

As for commentary team, I think the championship team on sky are ok, not sure of main commentators name. Andy hinchclife as co-comm.

Not a fan of Tyler.

Lineker as presenter (James Richardson when Lineker can't do it).

In studio analysts, as many above, Neville and Savage. Neville has the knowledge of the game from years of being at/playing under the best. Savage is quite opinionated and just goes with that. Quite outspoken as well so could provide some controversy every now and then.

And then Peter Brackley (good shout above) and Lee Dixon as commentators.

He may have been an amazing player but Lineker is a terrible presenter. Lawro is even worse then him. They both have the personality of a potato!

He's probably one of the most respected and best presenters of any sort of program in the whole country. I don't think I've ever heard anybody complain about him at all.

Edit: Heard he's a bit of a mardy bastard in real life from a few different people though.

Come on now, I love Gary, he's one of us etc, has an incredibly fit bird and is the face of crisps but there's no way watching him is better than watching Jeff do his thing.

Where are you getting that from then? Sky wankers

Think I might have to have Rhiannon Jones and Gabby Logan as presenters who just sit with Lineker or Richardson.

And then only speak when spoken to

James Richardson for sure! How can you not love the guy who said: "Like the Queen buying a stamp, I'm getting ahead of myself"?
