Fox92 Posted 5 August 2013 Posted 5 August 2013 I started a thread last year, didn't see one this year so I've started this now considering the first fixture is underway Big derby Preston v Blackpool, atmosphere looks decent. Fancy Preston for this actually. Simon Grayson obviously played for, and managed, Blackpool as well. .... Also, would do you think will win it? A 'big' team or a solid side such as Swansea? A good run from a lower league team like Bradford last year?
The Year Of The Fox Posted 5 August 2013 Posted 5 August 2013 I see old Hume still puts himself about years after leaving us. Fair play to him. Come on PNE
I am Rod Hull Posted 5 August 2013 Posted 5 August 2013 http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/topic/89734-league-cup-1314/ Idiot...
kingfox Posted 5 August 2013 Posted 5 August 2013 The same type of thread at exactly the same time. Freaky
The Year Of The Fox Posted 5 August 2013 Posted 5 August 2013 Not really. Look at the times the threads were both started! Idiot!
The Year Of The Fox Posted 5 August 2013 Posted 5 August 2013 No doubt Finnegan and a few others will accuse us of being the same people ( despite having no evidence!)

Manwell Pablo Posted 5 August 2013 Posted 5 August 2013 As if there's a pitch invasion! F8cking embarrassing, it's the league cup first round ffs.
Fox92 Posted 5 August 2013 Author Posted 5 August 2013 Big rivalry. People complain about lack of passion... Preston look solid, I imagine Grayson will have them around the top 6.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 5 August 2013 Posted 5 August 2013 Anyone else just see that horse trample the steward?
Stuliasz Posted 5 August 2013 Posted 5 August 2013 Anyone else just see that horse trample the steward? Yeah that looked nasty. Hope he came away unscathed. Don't think I've ever seen a pitch invasion for a League Cup 1st Rd win before. I have family who support Blackpool so know what the rivalry is like but still!
Corky Posted 5 August 2013 Posted 5 August 2013 Anyone else just see that horse trample the steward? Whereabouts on the pitch was it?
Fez of Mahrez Posted 5 August 2013 Posted 5 August 2013 Whereabouts on the pitch was it? In the penalty area. Ref waved away appeals. It's fine, I can joke about it, the steward looks fine.
marko Posted 5 August 2013 Posted 5 August 2013 Gracious in defeat, Paul. I was just thinking that. I'm sure he can expect a call from someone at the FA to 'clarify' his comments.

Mike the Metal Ed Posted 6 August 2013 Posted 6 August 2013 "When you've got 200 Preston fans running on the pitch and my players are still on the pitch, who knows? There's no control and is it going to take someone getting stabbed before we wake up and smell the coffee? Why is it always assumed every supporter who runs on the pitch is a knife-toting maniac?

I actually thought he had a valid point if I'm honest (not necessarily about being stabbed) However, it was sour grapes on his part, you'd not hear him say that hadit been the other way round

They say it everytime theres a pitch invasion, its the way we are, we look at the worst possible outcome everytime even though its never justified. They can't just ignore it or praise the support, which I thought was great for a first round tie of a 2nd rate cup.
purpleronnie Posted 6 August 2013 Posted 6 August 2013 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/23583380 At least Simon Grayson spoke sense. Paul Ince - Idiot.
