Rincewind Posted 26 August 2013 Posted 26 August 2013 When my brother had a hotel in the Lake District his partner was a best frien from school. He now supports Carlisle. I think its more for a game to go to and he jokes more than anything about them so the game tomorrow will be interesting to him. I suppose he'll be cheering on Carliske but will be just as happy for it to be City that knocks them out. I think he still has asoft spot for City but nearly 300 mile is a long way to travel and Carlisle is cheaper to watch. How did they decide which premiership teams were in the draw and why no all Premiership clashes?

How did they decide which premiership teams were in the draw and why no all Premiership clashes? Teams who are playing in Europe join the competition in Round 3, so that's Man Utd, Man City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham, Swansea and Wigan. The draw for the second round was also seeded, which explains why there are no all Premier League clashes.
Asha Posted 27 August 2013 Posted 27 August 2013 Out of those for POSSIBLE cupsets: Burton Albion vs Fulham - the brewers tend to raise their game as we found out to our cost Derby county vs brentford - should be a good game I fancy brentford to possibly nick it Leyton orient vs hull - orient are flying and they're playing at home Maybe Peterborough vs reading - possible high scoring game Orient and Peterborough were the two that stuck out for me. I think I'd be more surprised if there wasn't a shock in those two. Both home teams are on a roll.
theessexfox Posted 27 August 2013 Posted 27 August 2013 Watched Peterborough last round at Colchester, looked very good.
Fox92 Posted 27 August 2013 Author Posted 27 August 2013 MK Dons at Sunderland, maybe? Think Brentford might get something at Derby.
RowlattsFox Posted 27 August 2013 Posted 27 August 2013 Newly promoted premier league teams tend to go out quite early so I'd go for accrington to beat Cardiff and Leyton orient to beat hull.
RonnieTodger Posted 27 August 2013 Posted 27 August 2013 I'd put money on Bristol City beating Palace. Holloway never concentrates on this cup. When he was at Blackpool in the Premier League, he missed the tie at MK Dons to watch a Scunthorpe player
Fox92 Posted 27 August 2013 Author Posted 27 August 2013 One for me, three for Chris Wood. Shame they don't count!

ScouseFox Posted 28 August 2013 Posted 28 August 2013 Everton vs Stevenage for a fiver tonight. Hoping for a good game, loadsa high scoring matches last night, hope this follows that pattern.
Fox92 Posted 28 August 2013 Author Posted 28 August 2013 Villa 1-0 Rotherham Stoke 1-0 Walsall Watford 1-0 Bournemouth The rest 0-0. Latest scores atm.

Fox92 Posted 28 August 2013 Author Posted 28 August 2013 Rotherham local for me, always had a soft spot for them, so hoping they beat Villa tonight. I've seen Leicester at Millmoor and the Don Valley, need to get to the New York Stadium.
