theessexfox Posted 6 August 2013 Posted 6 August 2013 Went to Colchester 1-5 Peterborough. Good game, scoreline a bit flattering as Posh ran riot at the end. Were we linked with Zakuani? He was very solid. McCann was immense in midfield, Tomlin was poor first half and superb the second, don't think he's good enough for us - a lower-end Champiosnhip player for me. Posh's 3rd was a hammer shot and the 4th, Tomlin, was a world-class curler. Unbelievable.
Lamby Posted 6 August 2013 Posted 6 August 2013 We've won in a cup game? I don't believe it! First time since December 2011
foxfanazer Posted 6 August 2013 Posted 6 August 2013 Love that my sisters boyfriend is a Wolves fan. It's just so easy to take the piss
Leicesterpool Posted 7 August 2013 Posted 7 August 2013 Does anybody agree with me on scrapping Extra time and instead going straight on to pens?

Harry - LCFC Posted 7 August 2013 Posted 7 August 2013 Thanks Lamby, helpful of you. They say it everytime theres a pitch invasion, its the way we are, we look at the worst possible outcome everytime even though its never justified. They can't just ignore it or praise the support, which I thought was great for a first round tie of a 2nd rate cup. A steward did get trampled on actually, I'm sure he's okay or we'd have heard more about it but it was a consequence of the pitch invasion. Having said that I don't blame the fans at all, the police have got to be damn careful with those horses. Way more dangerous than any supporter.
Harry - LCFC Posted 7 August 2013 Posted 7 August 2013 There are highlights?! I didn't know there were highlights! Woooooo highlights! @BBCFLShow Goals, red cards, and even a penalty or 2...join us for the 1st round of the Capital One Cup. BBC1 23:35
ADK Posted 7 August 2013 Posted 7 August 2013 Just watching the highlights, that leg break in the Brighton-Newport game was pretty horrific.
Mike the Metal Ed Posted 7 August 2013 Posted 7 August 2013 Orient in the next round would be nice for me.
Fox92 Posted 8 August 2013 Author Posted 8 August 2013 I'd like Rotherham away. Local for me and I've seen us play at their other two grounds, so seeing them at their new ground would be nice.
Lamby Posted 8 August 2013 Posted 8 August 2013 What a ****ing shit tie for us, Huddersfield are the most boring side as well. This also happens: Tues 27th August: Huddersfield (A)Tues 17th September: Huddersfield (A)
BHAFC Braders Posted 8 August 2013 Posted 8 August 2013 Shite competition anyways (Seriously - in true Albion style it's not over yet , apparently some of our fans racially abused one of their players - bit hard as hardly anyone was there , and Newports players and coaching staff were throwing homophobic abuse at our main stand it seems ...)
ADK Posted 8 August 2013 Posted 8 August 2013 What a ****ing shit tie for us, Huddersfield are the most boring side as well. This also happens: Tues 27th August: Huddersfield (A) Tues 17th September: Huddersfield (A) It's abit like when we got a Cardiff away double bill a few seasons ago.
Leicesterpool Posted 8 August 2013 Posted 8 August 2013 It's abit like when we got a Cardiff away double bill a few seasons ago. Portsmouth aswell in the short Sousa era (disaster)
Super_horns Posted 8 August 2013 Posted 8 August 2013 It's abit like when we got a Cardiff away double bill a few seasons ago. We've got Bournemouth home twice in 2 weeks and Yeovil have Birmingham twice too.
Hollism Posted 12 August 2013 Posted 12 August 2013 What a ****ing shit tie for us, Huddersfield are the most boring side as well. This also happens: Tues 27th August: Huddersfield (A) Tues 17th September: Huddersfield (A) Worst away day I've ever had was in the FA cup last year at Huddersfield
Asha Posted 26 August 2013 Posted 26 August 2013 Obviously it's the second round of the Capital One Cup this week... What do we think are going to be the 'shocks' of the round? Second Round: Tuesday 27th August Barnsley v Southampton Bristol City v Crystal Palace Burnley v Preston North End Burton Albion v Fulham Carlisle United v Leicester City Derby County v Brentford Doncaster Rovers v Leeds United Huddersfield Town v Charlton Athletic Leyton Orient v Hull City Liverpool v Notts County Norwich City v Bury Peterborough United v Reading Queens Park Rangers v Swindon Town Sunderland v Milton Keynes Dons Tranmere Rovers v Bolton Wanderers West Bromwich Albion v Newport County West Ham United v Cheltenham Town Yeovil Town v Birmingham City Wednesday 28th August Accrington Stanley v Cardiff City Aston Villa v Rotherham United Everton v Stevenage Morecambe v Newcastle United Nottingham Forest v Millwall Stoke City v Walsall Watford v Bournemouth
Fox in the North Posted 26 August 2013 Posted 26 August 2013 Out of those for POSSIBLE cupsets: Burton Albion vs Fulham - the brewers tend to raise their game as we found out to our cost Derby county vs brentford - should be a good game I fancy brentford to possibly nick it Leyton orient vs hull - orient are flying and they're playing at home Maybe Peterborough vs reading - possible high scoring game
