A World Cup with 48 teams?

And we thought FIFA were a joke.

At least Alex Ferguson will be able to get some serious scouting in case he wants to advise Moyes on a couple of strikers.

There are two lads from Leicester representing England.

You can read one of their story on the DNO site.

I dont suppose anyonr will read it though as it shows an homeless person in a positive light

Better than the gay World Cup mind, that descended into farce when the Dutch keeper let three slip in before kick off.

Do the homeless teams ever get to play at home?

It depends on what you think the definition of the term homeless is. But that can be discussed elsewhere on the forum. This is the sport section.

The Polish players will be playing at home as Polamd is hosting the tournament.

Oh, right.

I've used the search function but can't find a homeless fthread anywhere.

What do the players chant after progressing from the group stage to the knockout stage? 'We're not going home'?

Probably the only football match where throwing coins is encouraged.

Yes, I suppose they would.

A profile of one of the England players. Sorry it's not by a Sun reporter as it is by someone that has met  and spoken to him.

Being serious, Ken, I think people would be more responsive to this kind of thread if you didn't have such a huge chip on your shoulder about it.

What is an Homekess World Cup Ken ?

OOPS. Never saw that. I can't change it now.

What chip' This kind of thread? A football one? I posted a topic about a football tounament and it is being treated as a big joke. I don't think some will ever take it serious but I welcome those that stay on topic. I'm not saying the jokes are not funny but iy shows there is some way to go in busting myths.

I also think the deaflympics should have had a thread as well as other less covered events where people succeed despite disadvantages and drawbacks be it sport entertainment or arts. I see nothing funny in taking the piss out of these people. They have as much worth as the rest of society.

Absolutely right, but there's no need for the comments 'sorry it's not from the sun' etc, doesn't help you at all.
