To be honest I never saw it as fun. It was like a big, silly circus... Almost unreal and became a huge embarrassment.

The 3-0 home loss to Millwall remains in my memory. We were fielding God knows how many millions of pounds worth of 'talent', whilst they were playing a side cobbled together for pennies, relatively speaking. And we were torn apart.

That wasn't fun.

Well a circus it was. But now it's like a stage show.

Same shit different day.

I accept the club may finally have realised what sven did was wrong, a bad joke and that hopefully we may have a more sustainable future. A long way off granted.

But svens random transfer policy put a smile on my face at times.

Yes the 3-0 v the wall was cack.

But compared to what his mate PT put me through it's feck all.

And the 7-1 v newcastle and the 5-2 v sheff utd in the pleat era stick with me more. Long memory me.

No comment - well just one. We could have been QPR and for all their ups and downs it seems more fun, instead we are Derby. Most City fans are happier with Derby, but not all of them.

I was so excited for Svens first full season....5.5 mil for MM made me think he'd be a Orem CB very soon....nugent in, kasper in, fernandes in, pantsil in! It's a far different club now but my god hasn't it got better! Shows my ignorance really...money isn't everything

Was never taken in by the the Sven hype.

I was happier at the Sven season, only because I thought we would walk the league, obviously that didn't happen. Pearson's team is a lot better and Pearson is a better manager.

After the 3rd league game under Sven I was on the floor. I could see we were nowhere near a promotion outfit.

This season we've had 2 wins out of 3, not playing the best yet but I have seen we can play better, based on last season. I think we're better all over the pitch than under Sven and a play-off place is achievable.

I can't really tell. I think I was more naïve during the Sven era, expecting too much with all the hype that surrounded the club and the media attention we got at the time.

Mind you, it was a great couple of months self esteem-wise, in terms of pretending we were as big and important as one of the Premier League clubs.

Then again, I can't say that I'm overly happy at the moment. I don't feel like rejoicing. We needed a different approach, lower expectations and a more low-key, cheaper and fitting squad to gel over the course of more than just one and a half seasons.

I'm somewhat reluctant to say that we can go places with this squad, although there's always the sword of failure hanging from the ceiling. Cautiously optimistic is the right term, I guess.

If we count the start of Sven's first full season as BEFORE the league started then yes, I was more excited about what could happen. It was a bit like buying a lottery ticket and thinking that it could be the one.... only to realise that you'd wasted a tenner on nothing. The excitement of "what if" was pretty magical though. I am very happy with now though too.

A million percent the start of Sven's first season. We'd bought millions of players all for millions of pounds. People that were known. We were known. We were obviously going to walk the league and we had a major buzz about the place.

Obviously as we progressed through that season it got a bit depressing but this summer's most interesting thread has been about the new kit, that's saying something. Again, obviously, 2 wins and a draw as well as progress in the cup is great and long may it continue, we'll all be voting "now" if we're in the top 2 come May.

Every bit of happiness/excitement I had under Sven was shot to pieces by that Bristol City game. Three games in, and it was clear that we had blown stupid money on players who weren't that arsed.

I'm actually happier now than I was for a lot of last year. There's just something I'm really liking about this season so far and I'm struggling to put my finger on it.

I'll openly admit I was also taken in by the Sven hype - but if anything I'd say that season, more than any other, has shaped a lot of my views on football in general and it's probably given me a cynical viewpoint towards spending a lot of money.

2011/12 was a disastrous embarrassment for this club. No doubt about it.

I never thought we'd do we'll under Sven, and said so.

Sven was a crazy appointment.

I seem to remember you being a staunch Sven supporter #ficklefootballfans

After that game, it was probably the most reactionary to a result I've ever been. I said there and then, we won't go up. The players clearly aren't the superior quality as billed and need time to gel as a squad.

Quite the opposite.

I was willing to give him a chance but look back through the threads.

You, on the other hand, were a big fan if I remember rightly.

It was an embarrassment, we were lucky to lose 1-2 to a side that had been beaten soundly in their opening two.

I cannot remember leaving a game feeling so deflated.

Because we are a bit more under the radar this year? Because the pressure seems to be focussed elsewhere at clubs like Bolton, QPR, Wigan, Forest and Watford where money has been spent and the fans expectations have risen?

The Leicester I know have always been better when little is expected of them. The place seems a lot happier and we seem to play better when there isn't as much expectation...
