Am I allowed to criticise?

It's not the criticism. I don't mean you in particular , it's just there seems to be those who will hide until we lose so they can share their views but when contested just get called Pearson lovers etc

Any thought out debate is worth it on the forum, but if all your after is 'yeah your right, you know the club and game of football better than everybody' then you won't get any luck with anybody tbh.

:-)

To be fair, he did a thread after we'd won.

I am a bit concerned by our performances this year, but I do think they'll improve.

Bit like watching pearson's football team then!!!

Who gives a shit! 2 points a game is promotion form. I'd rather see a "boring" side get promotion this year than an attractive one finish mid-table

In the interests of balance I'm in total agreement with one of the previous posts about effecting what you can actually control, yes the referee had lost control of the game in the first 20 mins but his performance is out of our hands. That said...

I think there was a realisation by everyone who'd been to a game that this result was probably coming... Performances haven't been good and we'd managed to pull in points by the skin of our teeth on occasion...

NP got a hammering last term for the fact he didn't have a plan b so all credit to him for trying to bed in 3-5-2 but I don't understand the change in defensive personnel probably the one area of the pitch where consistency is the key.

Saying that as long as we don't repeatedly look backwards and use one result as a stick to beat the manager and actually get behind the team im sure we'll do alright this year... Keep the faith...

Well that's fair enough. Just sometimes seems as soon as someone mentions anything about the ref you're on them like fly on shit.

As I've mentioned, most will say that we deserved nothing today and that's down to our poor performance.

I am admitedly, but there's a reason for that, similarly whenever we lose people are talking about the ref rather than our own mistakes.

Bad refereeing isn't right, it does effect us, it does annoy us, but our team annoyed me even more today and the referee didn't lose the game for us today, this goes for most games, like I said last week we won, we celebrated the win, but it was quite refreshing to see us slagging the referee off after a win, because that doesn't happen very often, if you come on here after games, 9 times out 10 you will find if we win, the referee doesn't get a mention, we fail to win and it's the referee's fault.

I'm not being funny but are people telling me if it wasn't for bad referee's we'd win every game? I don't think so, but if you believe what people on here write, blaming the referee before the team, we'd certainly win alot more, this is not the case.

It winds me up.

It's like people can't be honest with thereselves, can't admit defeat, can't admit our team were awful so they'll shift the blame and moan at the referee.

He was crap today, our team were crapper, simple as that.

No. Not according to these happy clapping bastards, the referee was our downfall and its as simple as that!

...in reality. Of course you are, we were shit!

The referee was ridiculous yesterday. I don't usually blame them, but he was a disgrace.

Even Powell said that the referee made some dodgy decisions.

He was, I'm not denying it, our team were also a disgrace though.

Oh yeah, I didn't think we were that good. The frustrating thing is, I don't think Charlton were that good either.

Did this require a new thread? We've agreed on the other threads: we were pretty shit today, the ref was worse, and we've had a decent start to the season.

It did indeed as the mentioned thread was locked and I was suspended for having a different opinion.

I'll probably be banned after speaking out again. Ooops.

It's the eternal roundabout with people criticizing the performance when we've lost - posters that hardly every have anything positive to say when we win or enjoy the best start to a campaign in 22 years.

The thing that I don't get is that Johnny and his fellows bemoan not so much the result, but moreso the way we play.

As if attractive, attacking play is a prerogative.

Do you want to get out of this division? Then it's a results business and not really about the prettiness and excitement of what you see on the pitch.

I doubt the Leicester City of the Mid- to late Nineties was a joy to the eye of the beholder. Grinding out results and showing determination and the ability to push when it matters was necessary to remain sustainable in the top flight.

The posters on here that I'm speaking about would come across as much more likeable and objective if they could dish out praise where praise is due.

Oftentimes, it's all very one-sided and repetitious.

I wasn't able to listen to the match yesterday as I've been quite busy over the past four, five days.

Sounds like the referee made the difference and a poor Charlton squad that was just a notch better than our team.

In the end, you can't beat them all. Sometimes you win, sometimes you draw, sometimes you lose. It's football. I thought some people were more experienced and actually knew that.

Also, what was it with former players (and managers) haunting their previous club again...?

If you want to be fair or fairer, judge the manager and the team over the course of the first third or half of the season - allowing a much more thorough assessment, in my opinion.

Well now we just lost, so is it okay to moan, or do I have to be ecstatic we have 10 points and remain oblivious to how poor we have played this season?!

By all means go ahead and moan that's what the majority of people on here seem to want to do, always waiting for the loss so they can have a dig, we haven't been brilliant no but we have pld well in parts & will only improve as we go on, but best start in 25+ years ... moan away. Up the Foxes,

Posted

You can yes, but what was wrong today you have not shared your opinion just moaned about those that realise 10 from 5 isn't too bad...

We have had good results, but we haven't actually played all that well. Then this performance yesterday.

However we must all get behind the team and hope for better things.

Bad refereeing is often a good thing for LCFC - the crowd wakes up, gets very noisy and the team get wound up and start playing.

I thought that. Thought the noise in our end was excellent yesterday. Looks like we're finally back on the way up regarding away support, been far better vocally this year.

There's a world of difference between justified criticism brought about by disappointment and a constant, burning desire to slate the players no matter what. I'm not sure what pleasure can be derived from football when you prefer defeats to victories.

Who are you talking about? Me?
