davieG Posted 17 October 2013 Posted 17 October 2013 He should have used the USSR version, pass it to Laika (the dog). I guess he'd be accused of saying Andros was ugly.
GingerrrFox Posted 17 October 2013 Posted 17 October 2013 Also if I was manager I would find out who leaked the story and drop them for good. Pathetic.
MooseBreath Posted 17 October 2013 Posted 17 October 2013 I've been literally orgasmic with excitement over the chance to be offended by this ever since this morning. I've lost about three pounds in sweat and semen. I'm outraged, absolutely horrified, and it makes me feel so fvcking good.
Kitchandro Posted 17 October 2013 Posted 17 October 2013 He elbowed him. So the keeper elbowed him as well then? The only thing Shearer did differently was wanting it more, the goalkeeper jumped with exactly the same technique and didn't get the ball either.

Guest MattP Posted 17 October 2013 Posted 17 October 2013 3.55 slow mo, he elbows the keeper in the face, it's a clear as a foul as you get. He probably did 'want it more' doesn't mean you can let a foul go because of it.
Jiggers the Fox Posted 17 October 2013 Posted 17 October 2013 How easy is it to get tickets for England games? Thinking of getting a few people to one of the November friendlies. Guessing Germany will be popular, but is it still fairly easy to get a ticket without selling out?
marko Posted 17 October 2013 Posted 17 October 2013 Very good article by Paul Hayward. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/england/10386615/England-camp-has-been-let-down-by-anonymous-player-who-leaked-Roy-Hodgsons-space-monkey-joke.html
Corky Posted 17 October 2013 Posted 17 October 2013 http://talksport.com/football/herbert-fa-have-swept-racism-row-under-carpet-13101764525 Whoa, hold on everyone, the Society of Black Lawyers are involved, predictably.

Tinman Posted 17 October 2013 Posted 17 October 2013 I wouldn't be surprised if it was Defoe. Thats the name going round

Trust is a huge thing in a dressing room. http://talksport.com/football/herbert-fa-have-swept-racism-row-under-carpet-13101764525 Whoa, hold on everyone, the Society of Black Lawyers are involved, predictably. lol I can just imagine him waking up and masturbating next to the telephone after hearing the news of it.
Uncle Albert Posted 17 October 2013 Author Posted 17 October 2013 I agree with Matt as well, whoever this traitor is they should be removed from the England set-up. Cannot have this kind of player in a squad that does seem more together than I have seen in England teams over the last few years. Shame this has had to happen, this why I think it was a player who has been pushed out and will think he is being treated harshly by Hodgson at not getting any game time, we all know Defoe is a moody little nob at times and he certainly will not have liked not getting any game time in these two games, especially with England performing.
I am Rod Hull Posted 17 October 2013 Posted 17 October 2013 Can whities join The Society of Black Lawyers?. Honest question.
Guest MattP Posted 17 October 2013 Posted 17 October 2013 Anyone think Harry coukld be involved, very friendly with Defoe, has looked a bit of a tit now he's Hodgson has took England to Brazil while he took QPR to the Championship. Nothing would surprise me with him.
act smiley Posted 18 October 2013 Posted 18 October 2013 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/24563131 Obviously Piara hasn't understood the story properly. Probably on purpose. Depending on what kind of statement that's taken from, it could be more a case of "this shows how easy it is for things to be taken out of context, should be more careful" that has in turn also been taken out of context to turn it into more of an opposing viewpoint. That might be giving too much credit, though.

Leicesterpool Posted 18 October 2013 Posted 18 October 2013 If it is Defoe then, it wouldn't look good if we dropped purely because it would make Hodgson look bad, we not he's racist and didn't mean to offend anybody but people may think Defoe as been dropped because he accused the manager of racism. Its just up to Hodgson and Defoe to kiss and make up.
foxfanazer Posted 18 October 2013 Posted 18 October 2013 The whole situation is a farce. Other sports must look at football and just laugh. He's not a racist, it wasn't a racist joke and it's simply a non event. Whoever leaked it should be ashamed and hopefully punished

What so this player can go behind everyone's back and stir up a ridiculous shit storm around the manager and question his integrity as a human being and you think he should be allowed to stay as part of the squad? He's ruined a 66 year old man's biggest personal achievement in football.
Corky Posted 18 October 2013 Posted 18 October 2013 Can whities join The Society of Black Lawyers?. Honest question. I'd have thought so. Not sure why they'd want to, but if they agreed with the policies and wanted to be part of it I can't see a legal reason why they would be refused.
davieG Posted 18 October 2013 Posted 18 October 2013 Hodgson joke a compliment - Townsend18 October 2013 Updated 13:03 England winger Andros Townsend has described Roy Hodgson's comment that prompted a race row as a "compliment". Hodgson was criticised for referring to a joke about a monkey and an astronaut at half-time in Tuesday's World Cup qualifier against Poland. "The manager just told the players to give the ball to me so that's a compliment really," said Townsend. "Everyone should be focusing on us qualifying for Brazil - not on negative silly news." Hodgson was reported(external) to have referenced the joke when trying to explain to right-back Chris Smalling that he needed to pass the ball to Townsend more often. The joke, the exact wording of which is still unclear, revolves around an astronaut and a monkey on a Nasa mission. The monkey performs all the tasks requested by mission control, with the punchline being that the astronaut's only role is to feed the monkey.

Fair play to Townsend for coming out so strongly in Hodgson's defence
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 18 October 2013 Posted 18 October 2013 Defoe is definitely sack-off-able, particularly if Darren Bent stays injury free and keeps scoring at Fulham.
