JonnyBoy Posted 6 November 2013 Posted 6 November 2013 you obviously are one of the supporters who's started following us in the last 5 years an think you know it f**king all 'know it f**king all' sorry? i have been supporting Leicester all my life lad... i think you need to structure your argument more concisely in order to get your point across with whatever it is your trying to express. All i am getting from you at the minute is that you are LCFC FOREVER and would follow the club if they made you go to the games in your underwear at £60 a pop
StanSP Posted 6 November 2013 Posted 6 November 2013 These supporters/fans obviously aren't true fans. Through thick an thin regardless. Don't mind criticism about stuff but talking about boycotting your team is PATHETIC Boycott it for the right reasons and it's okay. If everything at the club went up in price by 10 times, or even doubled for no apparent reason, would you be happy? Boycotting the club to show your disapproval and perhaps anger at their decisions is nothing bad.
Dan Posted 6 November 2013 Posted 6 November 2013 Unconditional love for your club is taken total advantage of. If fans boycotted on mass about things they felt strongly for then football would be in a far better state.

Just trying to get a point across about constant slagging of the club. Managers/players coming an going, the supporters have no real influence. So support not slag off.
JonnyBoy Posted 6 November 2013 Posted 6 November 2013 well I can't see that happening with the current health and safety regulations. Just trying to get a point across about constant slagging of the club. Managers/players coming an going, the supporters have no real influence. So support not slag off. you're getting the wrong end of the stick! i'm not slagging off anything... And the supporters do have an influence. Without supporters there wouldn't be an lcfc
Hungry Hungry Fox Posted 6 November 2013 Posted 6 November 2013 I knew things were going too well. It's been moan moan moan moaaaan on here today Get a grip!

Without supporters there wouldn't be an lcfci know, just prefer to read some good positive quotes. I too have supported them all my life.
NathanBlueFox Posted 6 November 2013 Posted 6 November 2013 although i feel like boycotting, i could not bring myself to do it... what else are you going to do on a saturday?
shade Posted 6 November 2013 Posted 6 November 2013 I'm confused why are we boycotting? something to do with kermorgant being decent apparently.
shade Posted 6 November 2013 Posted 6 November 2013 although i feel like boycotting, i could not bring myself to do it... what else are you going to do on a saturday? 90 minute powerwank?
Corky Posted 6 November 2013 Posted 6 November 2013 Depends on the circumstances. Don't like the off-field stuff currently happening with the stewards and fans, thankfully on the pitch we are in fantastic form and the team are making it enjoyable again.
Guest Posted 6 November 2013 Posted 6 November 2013 something to do with kermorgant being decent apparently. The bastard! Right, everyone out!
Bayfox Posted 7 November 2013 Posted 7 November 2013 Depends on the reasons. Do you think the fans who started boycotting united and set up FC United of Manchester, miss paying £1000's of pounds for tickets, sitting in a stadium full off daytrippers and lining some americans pockets all whilst having their pants pulled down for anything with a united badge on. Or do they feel they now have a club of their own, that they can have a say on and feel proud of? Because they had become sick of being mugs. Ok the standard of football maybe shit and I'm sure for some the novelty wore off, but still if you enjoyed football cuz it was a relatively cheap form of entertainment on a saturday afternoon, for the working class and you could let of a bit of steam at what point do you get fed up of high prices, families and sky tv making you play everyday of the week.
Fox92 Posted 7 November 2013 Posted 7 November 2013 Think about people who want to go and cannot (examples such as Carlito's Way and MickyT I think, and there will be thousands more) because of other reasons. All this boycotting stuff is just sad to me. You don't want to support your own football team because people don't stand up, or whatever? Wake up, we're in 2013. Everything in the World is always changing, and that includes football, so you have to get on with it, just like others do. I'm a STH, have been for eleven years now, am I happy with everything in the King Power Stadium? Of course I'm not. But if I boycott, will anything be done about it? No, why should the club care. I think some of you forget that football is a business, and sadly fans are no longer number one priority. But does it stop me attending? No. I'm in a privileged position of watching my club most weeks, and I wouldn't want to change that. You know, I like to turn up, support Leicester and go home. Do I see myself as a 'modern fan' (oh how I hate that term)? No, I see myself as a 'football fan', just like the other millions around the Country that will be watching their clubs. I do wonder how many would 'threaten' about boycotting if we were playing the likes of Manchester United, Tottenham and Liverpool each week.
hackneyfox Posted 7 November 2013 Posted 7 November 2013 i know, just prefer to read some good positive quotes. I too have supported them all my life. Another happy clapper BAM

I do not advocate a boycott for any reason that does not mean if people feel strongly they should not do it. As you say football is a business and not a game anymore. But at our level fans should be the number one even more so now with FFP. If our gate dipped 5 or 6k a week cos filbert pissed people off the club would be in shite street. It would still be in shite street without FFP because our owners would have to make up the short fall. Then the club would have to pay it back +8% The owners should care and listen to it's fans/customers because at our level we have no business without fans/customers.
1964FOX Posted 7 November 2013 Posted 7 November 2013 for a boycott to be successful significant numbers would have to b involved and in my opinion most people nowadays just don't want to demonstrate and stand up for their rights. Most seem happy to accept what those with money and power do, thankfully our ancestors had a different outlook or else we would still have the masters and servants act. Having said this it does rally need to be a substantial issue and be well organised to have a meaningful outcome from a boycott and their are probably better alternatives to use prior to a boycott.
Bettsj2 Posted 7 November 2013 Posted 7 November 2013 Why are people talking about boycotting? Whose talking about boycotting and why?
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 7 November 2013 Posted 7 November 2013 Why are people talking about boycotting? Whose talking about boycotting and why? That's the whole point. Nobody is supposed to. Certain ex Broadmoor patients are stirring up trouble again. Probably something to do with Pukka pies, or the full moon.

However, if things do change, then we as people can act to change things for the better, no? The bit I've bolded is contradictory, as a business is interested in keeping its "customers" happy, and on the last point, I didn't attend a single game in 03/04 because I and people around me had lost interest due to the sterile atmosphere in 02/03, a season in which we'd nearly pissed the league. So if (and it's a big if) the club offended me to such an extent that I'd begin a formal boycott, then yes, yes I would.
Mike the Metal Ed Posted 7 November 2013 Posted 7 November 2013 Also it amuses me how next to nobody here seriously talks about boycotting the club, but because of this thread it's now being debated as though it's something people are considering.
