red5 Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 The team I'd like to see is the one picked by the new manager.
Harry - LCFC Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 You don't drop your captain. I agree. Whether you think it's fair or not I wouldn't consider dropping Morgan after only two bad performances. Taking him out of the team sends out a bad message IMO, that you've lost some confidence in one of your key players.
dmayne7 Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 Miquel was easily one of our best players yesterday. Personally I don't think so. Definitely largely at fault for the 1st goal and the defence as a whole was the reason we lost yesterday. Like I said, I don't think he's played too badly but I am right in thinking that in the handful of games he has played that we've lost to Charlton, Wednesday and Brighton? We've only lost 5 games all season and Miquel has played in 3 of those yet only appeared in a 3rd of our games this season. Coincidence? Perhaps, perhaps not. Either way I think we saw from having Keane in the side last season that just because a young centre back looks decent, and is probably going to be a good player, that doesn't stop them from creating problems for the defensive unit. I'm not suggesting that the defence has only been dodgy when he's played because the frailties were there long before, but its still a big concern for me. Moore is a much better option IMO.
Devonfox1884 Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 Schmeichel De laet Morgan Moore Schlupp Knocky Drinky King Dyer Wood Vardy Subs: Logan, Konch, Miquel, James, Hammond, Taylor-Flectcher, Nuge. I think was needs a breather, it's not his fault he's being played out of position, but he hasn't looked good. Miquel hasn't played 'badly' but i think moore is a better defender and he is one of our own, not one of Arsenal's. Konch also needs a rest, and i think Schlupp and Dyer can cause Burnley all sorts of problems like they did at Watford. I think Wood should start, however Nige seems to love Nuge, so i doubt it will happen. De laet coming back in will make a massive difference IMO, it gives our defence a much, much better balance. If we play this team, i think we can beat Burnley, and beat them convincingly, 3 or 4-1. COYB
emmo1987 Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 Be very surprised if de laet comes straight in the 11? Could be very rusty. nps 11 Schmichael Moore Morgan Miguel Konchesky Knockaert King Drinkwater Dyer ---------nugent vardy--------- Logan, De Laet, wasilewski, Hammond, James, Wood, Gtf
Finn Claw II Posted 9 December 2013 Posted 9 December 2013 Kasper, Delaet, Morgan, Moore, Konchy Konchy, King, Dinky, Dyer Wood Vardy
Brooksy Posted 9 December 2013 Posted 9 December 2013 De Laet, Moore, Knockaert and Wood in please and let's fvcking go for it.
MooseBreath Posted 9 December 2013 Posted 9 December 2013 Kasp RDL Moore Morgan Schlupp Knocky Drinkz Kingo Dyer Nuge Vardy Wouldn't be too bothered to see Schlupp in place of Konch, Wood in place of Nuge, James in for either of King or Drinky. But it must be 442 and we must play both Knocky and Dyer. If Pearson goes for 433 again or takes Knocky off if we're chasing the game again then I'm calling for his head.
Langston Posted 9 December 2013 Posted 9 December 2013 Kasper RDL-----Wes-----Miquel-----Konch Drinkwater-----King Knockaert-----GTF-----Lloyd Vardy
Dan Posted 9 December 2013 Posted 9 December 2013 Schmeichel De Laet - Morgan - Miquel - Konchesky Knockaert - James - Drinkwater - Dyer GTF - Vardy Subs; Logan, Wasilewski, Moore, Schlupp, King, Nugent, Wood Would be a big gamble, but I've been more impressed with GTF's cameos than I have with Nugent/Wood recently. Wouldn't be against Wood starting.
Dan Posted 9 December 2013 Posted 9 December 2013 Kasper RDL-----Wes-----Miquel-----Konch Drinkwater-----King Knockaert-----GTF-----Lloyd Vardy I like that.
Simonb Posted 9 December 2013 Posted 9 December 2013 If fit de laet in... Kasper De laet Moore Morgan Konch Knockaert King Drinkwater Schlupp Vardy Wood Think wasyl nuge n dyer need a rest as forms gone and james went missing in the ladt two games. It'd be good to see the back four from beginning of season bavk together too. De laet dependant
harpendenfox Posted 9 December 2013 Posted 9 December 2013 Sorry to be pedantic, but James only went missing from the Brighton game because he wasn't picked. He played well against Millwall. I think there's little to choose between them, although King brings a better chance of a goal
Guest MattP Posted 9 December 2013 Posted 9 December 2013 Kasper De laet Moore Morgan Konchesky Knocky Drinks James Dyer Vardy Wood
ibbosuk Posted 9 December 2013 Posted 9 December 2013 A team that does not bottle it when they reach the top of the ****ing league... OOPS (We don't appear to have one).......
Socks Posted 9 December 2013 Posted 9 December 2013 Kasper De Laet Moore Morgan Konchesky Drinkwater/James Schlupp Knocky Dyer Vardy Wood
gazfox9 Posted 9 December 2013 Posted 9 December 2013 Kasper De Laet Moore Morgan Koncheskey Knockaert Drinkwater King Dyer Nugent Wood Subs - Logan, Wasyl, Miquel, James, Schlupp, GTF, Wood Exact side I would go for too that.
LCFC FOX Posted 9 December 2013 Posted 9 December 2013 I meant to put Vardy on the bench not Wood twice
justfoxes Posted 10 December 2013 Posted 10 December 2013 Kasper Moore Wes Was Konch Knockheart James Drinkwater Dyer Woods Vardy Subs Nugent Schlupp Logan King Miguel GTF Delaet
Bilbo Posted 12 December 2013 Posted 12 December 2013 I couldn't see a topic on this so I've started one. I'd like to see Moore and De Laet come back into the back four to replace Was and Miquel. Also I think Knockaert needs to start. Going for 1-1 result.
Devonfox1884 Posted 12 December 2013 Posted 12 December 2013 4-1 city-back with a bang. Vardy, knocky, nuge and GTF with ours. Vokes for them. I'd like to see a 4-2-3-1 type formation, which would go as follows: Kasper De laet Morgan Moore Konch James Drinky Knocky GTF (in the hole) Dyer Vardy
Night Air Posted 12 December 2013 Posted 12 December 2013 Not really a pre-match thread, but there has been a team selection thread which is usually what the pre-match consists of: http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/topic/91518-let-get-brighton-out-our-system-what-team-should-we-play-against-burnley/

Wilson_6 Posted 12 December 2013 Posted 12 December 2013 Kasper RDL Moore Morgan Konch Drinkwater James King Vardy Nugent Lloyde 2-1 Citeh! Nugent with a brace!
