Manwell Pablo Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 He has played quite well tbf to him. Still hope he clears off at the end of the season mind you bit of a difference doing it against the team placed 17th in the Championship and the Premier League.
lgfualol Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 He'll have to slim down a bit. He still looks like a Dad playing in a father son game
iamafox Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 If GTF stays then what are the chances of him featuring on the bench next season? He's done great for us but in the Premier League, we need better players in the same position than him.
Bert Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 Quality today and dare I say it whenever he's came on he's always looked very handy.
NewburyFox Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 Played very well today, he may have been on the right but it was more of an advanced inside playmaker role, he certainly didn't play as a right winger or anything. Great goal today too.
Guest kristianity77 Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 I rate him I really do! I'd go as far as to say that he has the best first touch out of all of our players and an eye for a pass that others don't see as well. I'd keep him next season if we go up as a bit part player.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 Quality today and dare I say it whenever he's came on he's always looked very handy. Totally agree, very tidy player, has got an eye for goal and highly creative.
LCCFox96 Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 Worth a new deal for at least one season. He's earned that much at least. Surprise signing for of the season for me. Didn't expect too much from him but he's played a big part on and off the pitch for us. I think if he a more 'football like build' and was given a chance by a bigger side early on in his career he could have gone much further in his career.
Sir Shep Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 I think all the players who have featured this season deserve new deals if their contract is due to expire. They may not get many games next season but you never know. Of cause certain dead wood around the club though should be put into the compost bin.
dayday Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 Deserves a new deal purely on his song,do do do GTF,do do do GTF
Agent Fox Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 He is pure silk, sleeps in his golden silk PJs too.
Stadt Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 Prem experience, gets in well with the lads and he's probably in comparatively little wages wise so I could appreciate what he brings to the table (apart from KFC, big macs, sausage rolls etc...) if Pearson was to renew his contract
filbertboy Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 GTF was terrific today. Often found himself deep in his own half , he has an excellent touch on the ball, a really good eye for a clever pass and deserved his goal with a great finish. He definitely deserves a new deal for a year. well done GTF - enjoyed watching your performance today.
bluesbrothers Posted 27 April 2014 Posted 27 April 2014 Can I just take this oppurtunity to thank Gary for his goal, which probably made me the first (and only) City fan to win a bet on him to be first goalscorer this year.
MalarkyR Posted 27 April 2014 Posted 27 April 2014 Does anyone think Nige might sit GTF down after the last game of the season and say something like: "Look Gaz, you've been fantastic for us this season, but we all know you're smuggling in balti pies from the continent. If you give it everything in the gym this summer, how's about one proper season in the prem doing what we know you can do?". I think he can play a bigger role for us next year if he fully dedicates himself to it. Could have the season of his life.
cjones Posted 27 April 2014 Posted 27 April 2014 funny really people opinions on gtfs build he was probably exact same build when he played in the prem and he had a good season scoring 6 and had 8 assists in 29 games which isnt bad playing in midfield in the prem for blackpool. good thing is hes got is the experience to pass on to some players about being in the prem for a team people will think will go strait back down, experience can make up for a lot in the prem, its not so much a physical thing but more about being mentally fit
