Everything about Murdoch's last rock was great curling. You can't ask for anything more from a skip there.

Two Scottish teams are now playing for medals--that's the way things always were, and in a way, I feel like that's how things ought to be.

I see the Scottish women lost the curling earlier. Let's hope the British men can do better later. :D

Great game here. Very tense.

4-3 up but Sweden have the hammer in the 9th end. Might come down to some more magic from Murdoch if we go into end 10 needing two to win. gonna be tight, for sure.

haha, it looks like I actually know what I'm talking about :D

Inches in it to be fair to the Swede skip, so tight under immense pressure. Murdoch has balls of steel.

I told y'all to look out for the GB curlers winning some medals--now they're guaranteed to bring two home

-Well, this wasn't a good week for the Russian men's hockey team. In the face of massive expectations, they scraped past Slovenia, lost to the USA in a shootout, needed a shootout to beat Slovakia, looked unconvincing vs Norway, and were unceremoniously knocked out in the quarterfinals by gritty Finland. After years of talking about how only a gold medal would be acceptable, the biggest choke artists in hockey won't even be playing for a medal. A collection of decorated former players from the Soviet Union team called on this team to begin a new golden era of Russian hockey--I guess it's harder these days when their professionals are playing against other pros instead of amateurs.

The hockey semifinals are going to be intense: the border wars of Canada vs USA and Finland vs Sweden (incidentally, rematches of the last 3 gold medal games).

-Speaking of hockey rivalries, Canada vs USA in women's hockey might even be nastier. That hate-fest will be renewed in just a few minutes in the gold medal game. I won't be watching because I'll be working, but I really hope our girls get some revenge and bring back gold.

-The top female skip of her generation finally wins curling's highest honor. Jennifer Jones & Team Canada absolutely dominated the field in Sochi.

-On the men's side, it's a classic Canada-Scotland battle for the title. Both teams are hot but I'm sticking with my pick of Jacobs for gold.

Boss game. 2-0 USA with about 3 minutes left, Canada score twice. In extra time now.

What the... How the **** did... I... It just... I'm at a loss for words.

Well, I really hope our boys can get the job done tomorrow.

Are you telling me that South Koreans are flipping out about something not going their way at the Olympics? I'm shocked.

I know, it's shocking, isn't it? I never saw this coming at all!

Let's be honest it''s nice to get a gold but its the mens that really matters in this, that's the big stuff and the bragging rights.

If the US men take the gold Canadian NHL fans arent going to be running around saying "yeah, well at least we won the womens" and vice versa.

Of course, but we're still allowed to be disappointed with what happened yesterday.

This game going on now has me nervous as ****. Canada is working really hard along the boards and doing a great job keeping possession of the puck. USA has looked dangerous on a few rushes, but Jonathan Quick was our best player in the first.
