DennisNedry Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 The best possible result yesterday! Hamilton now has the edge going into a fantastic track (Suzuka) Brilliant sporting weekend
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 Hope all the people buying in to or creating these rumours that the team are purposefully fvcking over Hamilton so Rosberg can win the title will pipe down about all that now.
Nalis Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 Hopefully the championship isn't determined by double points in the last race...
Asha Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 Can't see it going that far now to be honest man. Barring any mechanical problems (likely), Hamilton will win every race from here on in. That moment on the grid when Rosberg couldn't pull away was the moment this title was decided. Hope Rosberg can make a fight of it but now Hamilton has the lead he's going to be pretty much unbeatable.
Asha Posted 4 October 2014 Posted 4 October 2014 How about this...!? Sebastian Vettel ---> Ferrari Daniil Kvyat ---> Red Bull Fernando Alonso ---> McLaren (likely) Vettel to Ferrari and Kvyat at Red Bull both confirmed. I'm so happy about that, seems the driver line-up next year is going to be really fresh. We'll see what SV is really made of, whether he can emulate Schumacher and take Ferrari back to the top.
Amin Posted 4 October 2014 Author Posted 4 October 2014 I'm shocked to see Vettel leave Red Bull but anything can happen when it comes to the F1 silly season. If he indeed goes to Ferrari, I seriously hope Ferrari return back to winning ways because I can't bear to see both my favourite drivers in shit cars. I personally wanted Alonso to stay at Ferrari because I was looking forward to another round of Alonso vs Raikkonen once Raikkonen had a car that he's comfortable with. Talking of Raikkonen, he needed a complete PU change between FP3 and qualifying, not sure if he will receive a penalty though.
Amin Posted 4 October 2014 Author Posted 4 October 2014 Rosberg on pole. That will be interesting for tomorrow.
isaidno Posted 4 October 2014 Posted 4 October 2014 Didn't think Ron Dennis would take Alonso back . He caused loads of trouble last time , leaked the spygate scandal to the FIA
Asha Posted 4 October 2014 Posted 4 October 2014 It's being assumed that Raikkonen is staying to partner Vettel but I think now would be a good time to either bring in Hulkenberg or give the long awaited chance to Bianchi. Hell of a line-up if Ferrari get their shit together though. If Alonso goes to McLaren you can safely assume Lewis is staying put too.
iamafox Posted 4 October 2014 Posted 4 October 2014 I know that Vergne was going to leave Toro Rosso but I wonder if he'll stay now that Kvyat is moving on?
Amin Posted 5 October 2014 Author Posted 5 October 2014 Well it's definitely wet. Hopefully we'll have a largely uninterrupted race.
isaidno Posted 5 October 2014 Posted 5 October 2014 If they award points for a 2 lap race it's a farce
Amin Posted 5 October 2014 Author Posted 5 October 2014 This is interesting. 50% points is awarded if the race has run a minimum of 2 laps. The red flag was put out on the second lap but the safety car lead them over finish line into the third lap in the pitlane. If the race is cancelled this could be a very controversial point because it decides who leaves Japan with the Championship lead.
Asha Posted 5 October 2014 Posted 5 October 2014 I know they're worried about safety but F1's current policy on wet conditions is embarrassing. I miss wet races; we'll never have a race like Spa '98 again.
isaidno Posted 5 October 2014 Posted 5 October 2014 If half points awarded, Rosberg would lead championship by half a point
Asha Posted 5 October 2014 Posted 5 October 2014 That would be such a farce, imagine if he wins the championship by half a point because of this result.
Amin Posted 5 October 2014 Author Posted 5 October 2014 Race about to get under way again. That would be such a farce, imagine if he wins the championship by half a point because of this result. Don't worry, double points will come to the rescue. Alonso already out.
Legend_in_blue Posted 5 October 2014 Posted 5 October 2014 This is pathetic. Start the race, this is suiting Rosberg.
