Haydos Posted 19 August 2014 Posted 19 August 2014 Torro Rosso just announced a 16 year old driver. WIll be 17 when he starts racing for them next season. Apparently the youngest F1 driver ever.
iamafox Posted 19 August 2014 Posted 19 August 2014 For me Toro Rosso need to rethink this. Why can't they just name Verstappen as a test driver and allow him to compete in GP3 or GP2 so that way he can prove himself more and gain knowledge of the tracks that are used for F1? A promising career could be wrecked by hasty decisions like that.
isaidno Posted 19 August 2014 Posted 19 August 2014 just got 2 free tickets for Sky sports F1 show next week , but no-one wants to come with me at the moment.
Asha Posted 20 August 2014 Posted 20 August 2014 Kobayashi replaced by three-time Le Mans winner Andre Lotterer at Caterham for Spa this weekend. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/formula1/28869449

isaidno Posted 20 August 2014 Posted 20 August 2014 Replace an experienced driver with a guy who last drove a F1 car 12 years ago. Daft move
isaidno Posted 21 August 2014 Posted 21 August 2014 Chilton out at Marussia. Replaced by Alexander Rossi
Asha Posted 22 August 2014 Posted 22 August 2014 Chilton out at Marussia. Replaced by Alexander Rossi And now that decision has been reversed. Bit harsh on Rossi to tell him he's getting his first F1 drive and then on Friday morning pull the plug on it. Still trying to work out the Verstappen deal, it would be pretty harsh for to axe Vergne after he narrowly missed out on the Red Bull seat last year. Maybe they're thinking, as Ricciardo has been so successful, that he can become team leader with Vergne joining him. Kvyat and Verstappen at Toro Rosso and Vettel going elsewhere?
isaidno Posted 22 August 2014 Posted 22 August 2014 What I don't get is that Red Bull has to drivers winning the junior championships. Alex Lynn in GP3 and Carlos Sainz in Renault world series and it goes for Verstappen
Nick Posted 22 August 2014 Posted 22 August 2014 just got 2 free tickets for Sky sports F1 show next week , but no-one wants to come with me at the moment. Lewis?
isaidno Posted 22 August 2014 Posted 22 August 2014 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/formula1/28893690 Another bizarre crash from Maldonado
BlueSi13 Posted 23 August 2014 Posted 23 August 2014 Poor from Hamilton, no excuses this time, Q3 letting him down again.
ADK Posted 23 August 2014 Posted 23 August 2014 7 in 7 for Rosberg. That said, cars are usually tuned for dry racing and Hamilton appeared to be having more oversteer which would suggest he's chosen a slightly more aggressive set up than Rosberg which would have probably favoured Rosberg in these conditions. Hamilton struggled most in the first and last sectors where downforce is important but was actually quicker in the middle sector. Still all to play for.
Legend_in_blue Posted 23 August 2014 Posted 23 August 2014 Placed in 2nd spot on the grid is more favourable in Spa than being on the other side. Lewis will have him tomorrow.

Apparently the youngest F1 driver ever. Be interesting to see how he manages, could go either way... I hope he doesn't crash regularly, but Maldonado still gets a drive so...
bovril Posted 24 August 2014 Posted 24 August 2014 Hamilton hit by Rosberg and gets a puncture after 2 laps.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 24 August 2014 Posted 24 August 2014 When will Hamilton actually get some luck, it is bad enough being hit but by your teammate and the guy your racing for the title is a disaster.
DennisNedry Posted 24 August 2014 Posted 24 August 2014 I do not see how Rosberg wasn't penalised for that? Wasn't intentional, but poor reckless driving.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 24 August 2014 Posted 24 August 2014 I do not see how Rosberg wasn't penalised for that? Wasn't intentional, but poor reckless driving. Wasn't great driving but was just a racing incident to be fair... again the luck favouring Rosberg
Asha Posted 24 August 2014 Posted 24 August 2014 Eddie Jordan's reaction to Rosberg being booed haha Come on guys that's not fair and you know it - he's driven his heart out lol Cringe. Feel sorry for Lewis there, seemed to work out nicely for Rosberg today. Mercedes want to be careful allowing their drivers to race because Ricciardo could be worming his way into the title race.
DennisNedry Posted 24 August 2014 Posted 24 August 2014 these fans Toto Wolff and Nikki Lauda both blaming Rosberg too.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 24 August 2014 Posted 24 August 2014 not surprised by Lauda, fairly sure he's been pro lewis throughout this whole season.
