Legend_in_blue Posted 5 October 2014 Posted 5 October 2014 Go, go, go Lewis! Wheel to wheel on the circuit, still Lewis remains unbeaten. Psychological edge definitely held by Lewis.
Jimothy Posted 5 October 2014 Posted 5 October 2014 I'm amazed they didn't catch what happened with Bianchi on camera, they normally get everything on camera.

Jimothy Posted 5 October 2014 Posted 5 October 2014 They probably have.... But they don't seem clear on what happened, so I'm guessing they don't. I'm not expecting them to show it, but I would have thought they'd have seen it.

It is clear to anyone that lewis is ahead of Rosberg when in a fair fight.. Eight wins for hamilton now, impressive... Rosberg only has four
Asha Posted 5 October 2014 Posted 5 October 2014 Worries are that it's a really serious incident, and that's why they're not showing it. A bit like not showing a close up of Eduardo's injury on match of the day.

A bit like not showing a close up of Eduardo's injury on match of the day. As I said above, I don't expect them to show us, but they just seem unclear on what happened themselves, apparently Sutil confirmed that Bianchi hit the truck. Just seems strange that the commentary team know very little other than what Sutil said, you'd think somebody would have seen it and briefed them on it.
Asha Posted 5 October 2014 Posted 5 October 2014 Apparently he creamed smack into the back of the tractor. There's some pictures on Twitter from a nearby grandstand and it looks horrible.
m4DD0gg Posted 5 October 2014 Posted 5 October 2014 Seems a total farce, air ambulance was not capable of landing due to the bad weather yet they still raced. Seen the photos on twitter, does not look good, hope he pulls through.

Just seen them, pretty obvious what happened, and yeah it doesn't look great at all does it. Not sure what happened just now in the pit lane, but the sky guys just moved out the way of something and Lazenby made sure the camera didn't pick up what it was.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 5 October 2014 Posted 5 October 2014 Didn't realise the situation was this bad, seems very serious, and people need to ask why this race went ahead... crazy
bovril Posted 5 October 2014 Posted 5 October 2014 Christ that looks horrible. I've always been nervous about those trucks that recover the crashed cars, especially in conditions like this. I think a similar thing happened with Brundle in Japan, smashed into an already-crashed car and seriously injured a marshall.
Asha Posted 5 October 2014 Posted 5 October 2014 I'm a bit hesitant about posting pictures, but this sums up just how serious this is.
Asha Posted 5 October 2014 Posted 5 October 2014 More pictures here but they're disturbing. The third one down... look where the car is, appears to actually be under the JCB. Horrible stuff. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/formulaone/article-2781079/Unconscious-Jules-Bianchi-taken-hospital-crashing-tractor-recovering-car-Japanese-Grand-Prix.html
Amin Posted 5 October 2014 Author Posted 5 October 2014 The ambulance was used instead of the helicopter for medical reasons, not because of the weather.
LCFC1996 Posted 5 October 2014 Posted 5 October 2014 Currently undergoing emergency surgery for 'severe head trauma' according to his father on French TV.
DennisNedry Posted 5 October 2014 Posted 5 October 2014 I said to my dad when they were trying to recover Sutil's car 'They should hurry up and get that truck away or someone might hit it'. Then it was weird not knowing it had happened until after the race... why didn't the cameras pick it up? The commentators on BBC didn't know about it. Hope Bianchi pulls through! Great race apart from that but is rightly being overshadowed right now.
