suffolk fox Posted 21 December 2013 Posted 21 December 2013 I'm 53, and get nostalgic for the Jimmy Bloomfield years. 4 City players in the England team, including the best player to wear the Royal Blue? Yes please! I echo your sentiments sir. To think what that team could have achieved today. Quality team, quality players.

bovril Posted 21 December 2013 Posted 21 December 2013 My early teens were spent watching the MON team. It was a wonderful footballing education.

Jimothy Posted 21 December 2013 Posted 21 December 2013 Judging by some of the posts on this forum at times, you could use the same poll sections for a thread titled "What's your IQ?"
Bluetintedspecs Posted 21 December 2013 Posted 21 December 2013 The big 50 and proud, been going down since I was 6.
marko Posted 21 December 2013 Posted 21 December 2013 28. By the way, where's the under 5 option for Cityfanlee and kingfox?
Ian W LCFC Posted 21 December 2013 Posted 21 December 2013 15, damn I hate being in the youngest category...
Winnershfox Posted 21 December 2013 Posted 21 December 2013 53 here and screaming as much today as i did in the 79-80 season at the age of 19. When we last won the 2nd tier championship.
CanadianFan Posted 21 December 2013 Posted 21 December 2013 0fficially an "old git" at 57, although, like many others here, inside I still feel much younger. I have many special memories of games over the years, including games that never mentioned on this forum....like Graham Cross's testimonial night. Sometimes it has been really painful, like watching the referee allow Billy Bremner's "kick before the whistle is blown, when the wall is still being positioned by the referee" goal, which was the equalizer and stopped us ending their massive unbeaten run. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=AdWAsA6TBkw&desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DAdWAsA6TBkw However, my brother still reminds me that I might have been marginally wrong in my assessment of a skinny, teenager when we watched him play his debut game. My assessment? "He's fast, but he gets pushed off the ball too easily....he'll never make it". Yep, that's right....Gary Lineker.
Wink Posted 21 December 2013 Posted 21 December 2013 I could tell you a lot about us dated back to 1993/94. Vaguely remember the Swindon play off final and I could tell you how the Blackburn play-off was won (lost in our case). Same here. My first Leicester game that wasn't at home. That was a sad day, but being so young I got over it quickly. Btw 29
sylofox Posted 21 December 2013 Author Posted 21 December 2013 You have wisdom beyond your years bud. I dont think ive read a post of yours ive not nodded at. ps... good thread Sylo TY col. And TY to everyone for partaking. From an old fvckers point of view makes it a little easier to understand why history stops at MON. We may not have won much under wallace milne and hamilton but we had some great times and days out.
steveherbe Posted 21 December 2013 Posted 21 December 2013 Bloody hell you've made me feel old when I'm in the last section! Old section, just turned 62 - I know, unbelievable, look about 38 ( on a bad day)
