Stoke away a sell out

Row 34 :)

Not too bad

Seems I'm dyslexic.

Just looked and it's 36. Still decent.

What's most embarrassing is when one club sings a chant at us and we sing it half-heartedly back at them.

Hope this will be a good day. Should be a decent buzz in the pub before the game too. Love the Cup.

I don't get why on away games the first 3-4 rows sit down... Sitting down on away games is just plastic support.

What if they're elderly fans who perhaps find it uncomfortable to stand for that long. Very sensible for those who want to sit to gather at the front IMO.

Sounds like the Premier League's got to their heads. They remain to me, another Cardiff/Coventry. Not a completely small club but certainly not bigger than us.

Exactly right.

Been to the Britannia more than once when there have only been 14-15,000 rattling around in there.

Once they get relegated, that'll be it for them really.

I remember a few visit in the past when they were milling around in the middle of the Championship. Regular gates of 12k, so they can wind it in.

I just don't understand this attitude, and it is this attitude that kills the atmosphere, everyone goes on about how they want to improve the atmosphere, yet people don't get involved in certain chants.

What is wrong with the chant? Is it because it says "we love you", even though everyone would blast out "we love you Leicester we do!" without cringing, is it because it goes "whoaaaaah!"? even though plenty of other chants have whoahs. Is it because we nicked it off Palace? Who nicked it off someone else, and none of our chants are original, not even WYS, we nicked that off Frank Sinatra/Louis Armstrong/Jersey Budd. Or is it because it is more popular than the more traditional songs and people like to swing their scarves, and it is sung louder than any other song? Bit pathetic isn't it.

Embarrassing that it's a song sang by lower league clubs. Don't see any premier league clubs singing it. It's dying off anyway.

Why don't we try songs with words instead of "woaaaaaaaaah" every other second.

Take a look at United's song for Januzaj and City's for Kompany.

Typical Leicester fans.  Only in it for the glory.

Just to let you know, Man Utd have a song for Shinji Kagawa now to the tune of "we love you".

Palace sing it as well. I believe they are in the premier league.

But, it does seem that our song variation is very poor nowadays. I think United have people who always come up with songs. Friends with a lot of united fans at uni and they come back from a lot of away matches with a new song!

Lots of people were sitting at the back in between the standers whilst there was lots of empty seats at the front.

I know, I found that too. Stood on the second to last row and someone told me to sit down behind me, I agree with you, it's ridiculous.

No im not an old fart ( well nearly) but if theres one song we could really belt out it's 'please release me ' by Englebert.

Local lad, unique to us and it would be really loud.

Should have been done after La Manga for the comedy.

Probably wrong thread :-(

It's not so much the songs for me, it's how half-hearted they are.

Most of them would sound pretty good if they were sung with the same gusto as Man City did for example.

Look at Leeds' support. They've got 3 songs. They're not even very good. But they're always loud and passionate. And in tune. You don't have to be a great singer to be in tune, it's about the attitude in which you sing it.

Like, why have we butchered the our boys in blue song? Do people think it makes us sound hard to sing it like brain damaged retards on a field trip?

I've only managed 6 away games this season, but I've found more people seem to be sitting.

Blackpool, Sheffield Wednesday, Millwall on all 3 occasions I've had to move as people around me were sitting.

We don't all like the same players some don't even like our manager.

I don't like one song I'll sing any other but that.

So now I'm a bad fan lol lol lol

Palace may be in the premier league but are hardly a 'big' club are they...

Oppostion fans' reaction to us singing it and us doing the Poznan sums it all up.

Didn't call you a bad fan, I just don't understand this attitude of not singing certain songs, surely we should just all sing everything and sing them all loud and proud, you've still not told me why you don't like it, I get not doing the Poznan, but then I also think Mexican waves and shit like that are stupid, I go to a football match to watch what is happening on the pitch.

But back to my point what don't you like about it, and why does that stop you singing it?

Who cares what other fans think. If it creates atmosphere and most people are willing to get involved with it then I don't see what's wrong with the song.

Also I don't get this about the Poznan. If we (or any english team for that matter) were playing Lech Poznan and they did the "Poznan" everybody would be delirious with admiration. I highly doubt anyone would be calling them embarrassing if they saw them do it.

I understand people sitting down on the first or second row however when people sit in the middle of the away stand and sit down, that really annoys me.

Because if Lech were to do it, like Man City, then everyone joins in. Everything is half-hearted with our fans.

The Poznan is just unnecessary though. We used to be a bit more spontaneous after we scored, now without fail we have to do this pre conceived half hearted thing that doesn't improve the atmosphere at all. In fact it's just annoying now.

I don't mind copying things if it improves the atmosphere. Copying stuff just for the sake of it though, or because you think it will make you cool like those 'cool' clubs that do it, completely defeats the idea.

I personally don't like it, bit too prissy for me and nothing to do with its popularity. I like a bit of a chant and getting behind the lads, I just don'tlike that song it grates me,however, if I'm part of killing the atmosphere then so be it.
