KP Nuts

Loved Nigel heading in Howard's goal himself as well, defo the most animated I've been at KP. And I know it's not a KP moment but in that season, Gradel's 500th minute free-kick to make it 2-2 at MK got quite a reaction to say the least.

I was sat in my Uni library at the time. It was my birthday and it was getting close to exams so everyone was busy revising.

I was watching BBC LiveScore. When I saw it flash 2-2 in the 96th minute I ran outside (as silently as possible) into the courtyard and then went absolutely mental, forgetting that the library's wall was made of glass so everyone could see me jumping around like a lunatic. lol

As for the KP, of course Howard is the best I've seen live.

Mines just based on the KP. I haven't been to that many games at the KP compared to most so I'll go for:

Last season:

Dyer vs Bolton

Nugent vs Watford

Schmeichel penalty save vs Boro

Nugent winner vs Wolves

The last two there really made me think last season could've been our year and are a good reminder for us not to get too far ahead of ourselves right now!

Other than that the only other truly memorable moment I have at the KP is Henderson's last minute penalty save vs Villa (in 2006 I think).

Wish I went to the Leeds game. :(

Howard v Leeds

Fryatt v Villa

Nugent v Watford in 1st leg

Nugent v Norwich

Clemence v Forest

There's plenty more but can't think off the top of my head.

At home, probably de Vries vs Spurs, didn't go to the Leeds game :/

There are so many contenders way from home, Dyer at Hereford springs to mind though.

Howard the obvious one of course. I remember as a mere 14 year old going mad at Hignett's last-minute leveller against Arsenal in 03/04. De Vries was pretty brilliant too (in my misty-eyed memory) but was tempered with only 19k in the stadium.

King's goal to make it 3-1 against Cardiff in the playoffs is one of my favourites too.

For an away day, Huddersfield in League 1 was pretty nuts. Lloyd majestically chipping the keeper in the 90th minute and legging it like a loon up the touchline giving it the big one.

Walsh in the 3-3 draw with Arsenal at Filbo was amazing I would say very few would have experience a ground going as mental, we all want mental as Matt Elliott equalised to make it 2-2 in injury time. Then the heart ache of Bergkamps equaliser and dead silence then the euphoria of Walsh equalising sent the ground crazy even by filbert street standards, it was mental.

I don't think the point actually ment anything it was just a crazy couple of minutes.

Palace are unbeaten in at least 17 years. 90th minute. 0-0. Cometh the hour, cometh the man. I give you Barrington Edward Hayles.

What a sweet connection with the ball. Unstoppable.

Ah the bad old days! I was at that game, seem to remember it was a Tuesday night?

A little off topic but when I hear people moaning about how things are at the club, I often think back to the shambolic outfit of a team we were around that time.

Back ON topic - It's an away game but Carl Cort's goal to put us 3-2 up at Chelsea sticks out in my mind!

Heskey vs Boro at Wembley, was such a shit game and after 120 turgid minutes it was clearly going to end with a disappointing trip back up the M1 with thousands of Boro fans mugging us off, then the big man. Carnage.

That sticks in my mind as I was sitting (on my hands) with the home fans trying to control myself, I was almost relieved that they won and I didn't have to sit through penalties.

Haha I remember watching live text of this game on my phone via the bbc on my way into work, I was in a crowded carriage but very quiet, everyone going about their usual routine, when it came up we had equalised I did a little fist pump and a come on to myself, the when Cort scored what felt like scones later I think I have the loudest cheer I have ever given in public, to really bemused looks. I explained we are 3-2 up at Chelsea! I don't think many understood. Anyway we went through the city loop tunnel and you get no reception in their when I got off hoping we had held on, to see we had lost I was gutted! Best game I have never seen!

Almost died when that 3rd went in against Chelsea.

I was the front row of the top tier and thought it would be a good idea to jump on the wall at the front, must have been standing on it going nuts for a good 5 seconds before my brother grabbed my belt and pulled me back onto him and the guys behind him.

****ing quality mental.

Cardiff away in the play off was pretty good too.

So was Blackpool in 2010.... See below.

Bent's last minute equaliser against Everton when we last was in the Premiership and Dickov's effort against Sheff Wed in a bore 1-1 draw, that was during my naive teenager days but overall it got be De Vries's winner against Spurs in FA Cup.

Getting sick of all these KP initials, I never quite know whether it is Kevin Phillips or King Power!
