5waller5 Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 You've got to admire him really. Genuinely breathes the game. Right type of character to have about. This. And he has quality and skill to match ... you won't see many players of his stature hold up a ball as well as he can.
Dan Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 This. And he has quality and skill to match ... you won't see many players of his stature hold up a ball as well as he can. It became cliche to call for Phillips to be signed but it's a very decent call really. It takes a genuine lover of the game to still have such desire to keep playing at this age, and I mean desire that he keeps himself completely in shape. He's been here a week and he's won me over already.
broughtonblue Posted 24 January 2014 Posted 24 January 2014 'If it was all plain sailing it would be boring!' You've certainly made the correct decision in joining us then Kev
XLM Posted 24 January 2014 Posted 24 January 2014 I honestly think he'll bag 4 or 5 goals this season for us. And if he does, there's absolutely no reason why he wouldn't be able to do that the year after in League 1 or 2
Beliall Posted 24 January 2014 Posted 24 January 2014 Oldest player: John Burridge, 43 years and 162 days (for Manchester City v. Queens Park Rangers, 14 May 1995) (premier league)theres a record needs breaking
Mark_w Posted 24 January 2014 Posted 24 January 2014 The manager is pretty lenient here and he will let me get on with what I need to do to be ready. I thought he had no idea how to handle big name players and falls out with them within minutes of meeting them?
Tuna Posted 24 January 2014 Posted 24 January 2014 Who has fooked up his wikipedia page? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kevin_Phillips_%28footballer%29

Guest Col city fan Posted 25 January 2014 Posted 25 January 2014 I remember when we beat Sunderland at Filbert Street, with Emile and Stan literally unplayable on the day. 5-2 I think the score was and I believe Phillips got both theirs? I thought back then that he looked a very very good player. Good man to have at the club.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 25 January 2014 Posted 25 January 2014 Sure Niall Quinn got Sunderlands other goal in that game
