ealingfox Posted 21 January 2014 Posted 21 January 2014 Really looking forward to this one, I think it's gonna be a tight and I think we're either gonna scrape a win or it'll be a high scoring draw, probably 2-2. We're in amazing form right now Honestly not sure who's Leicester big threats are, nobody in your team particularly stands out to me apart from Nugent and big Wes, who's your biggest threats? No offence intended but looking at Leicester's team i'm really surprised to see you guys doing so well I wouldn't be so confident got away with at Leeds scum Well there's our team talk for Saturday sorted.
foxfanazer Posted 21 January 2014 Posted 21 January 2014 Just can't see us losing this one. They're nothing to fear imo. As long as we stay professional I'm confident we'll beat them by a couple of goals. We beat in form teams
BoroWeasel Posted 21 January 2014 Posted 21 January 2014 Well there's our team talk for Saturday sorted. Hey, I didn't say anything really bad! I said nice things Just that I wouldn't of expected your team to do as well as they are.
chapero82 Posted 21 January 2014 Posted 21 January 2014 They always sing "you've never had a parmo in your life!" I have they are rank
Bluetintedspecs Posted 21 January 2014 Posted 21 January 2014 Hey, I didn't say anything really bad! I said nice things Just that I wouldn't of expected your team to do as well as they are. Boro, I don't think you intentionally said anything bad. If you read back though it appears you were being a little disrespectful to the side who are 5pts clear at the top on merit. Your recent form is unquestionably the second best in the division at the moment, forgetting that you are facing THE form team at their place could be a little misguided.
Kitchandro Posted 21 January 2014 Posted 21 January 2014 Hey, I didn't say anything really bad! I said nice things Just that I wouldn't of expected your team to do as well as they are. Our team isn't full of established 'stars', but that's mainly because of how young the squad is. This isn't a team full of has-beens like QPR, it's a team full of will-be's. It is true that we don't have any standout threats, we are a team that plays as a team, everyone is capable of passing the ball and though we have individuals who can change a match, it's the team ethic, hard work and tempo that make us so dangerous. Nugent may be the name that everyone knows in the Leicester side but if you asked most City fans they'd probably say that he's been far from our best performer, and we're talking about someone with 17 goals this season here. Make no mistake, Drinkwater, Knockaert, Moore and James all look to be Premier League players in the making. None of them have played at this level for very long and all of them have looked top players this season, and in patches last season. But if you put a gun to my head and asked me to pick out one player, I'd say Jamie Vardy. He won't give your defenders a moment's peace and his hard work is so important to how we play.
chapero82 Posted 21 January 2014 Posted 21 January 2014 Who have boro really beat on that run? It's a bit like derby tbf then look at who we have beaten on our run

Your recent form is unquestionably the second best in the division at the moment, forgetting that you are facing THE form team at their place could be a little misguided. Nope, I'm not here to aggrevate or troll just here cause I'm bored at work and I like discussing upcoming boro games with the opposition fans, I've gotta say this one of the nicer forums I've been on Indeed, I'm very aware that you are the team in the division at the moment which is why I don't think it'll be easy but I just have a sneaky feeling we're gonna scrape a point with you dominating or even a win with you dominating as well. We're so much better defensively now and our clean sheet record shows that! It's going to be a good game anyway. Our team isn't full of established 'stars', but that's mainly because of how young the squad is. This isn't a team full of has-beens like QPR, it's a team full of will-be's. Interesting post, forgot about Drinkwater. He's another player who I forgot to add I think is quality. Haven't seen much of Knockaert and I wanted Vardy to join Boro last Jan when he wasn't doing so well, we were linked with him! Nugent seems to be one of those players who always scores against us so I wouldn't be surprised if he got the goal/goals for you. We have a very good squad on paper as well, Mowbray just wasn't getting them to play but we're something else under Karanka. We have stability and genuine tactics. Adomah in my opinion is one of/if not the best winger in this league and cause problems for anyone, we're really lucky to have him. Emnes can be something else when he turns up but he's always skillful and the form Ledesma is in at the moment you're going to have to defend well to stop him. We have plenty of flare and trickery in our team so I don't know how well you do against those kind of players. Our defence is much improved and we finally have some stability. Woody is consistent and Ayala has been fantastic for us, our weak spot is probably at fullbacks but Friend is very good at going forward but can be caught out defending. Varga will probably be playing RB so that can defintely be exploited, however our new singing Omeruo might play and he'll want to prove he deserves to start, same with Chalobah. Then there's Shay Given, the guy is something else. Such a leader and still an amazing shot stopper, fan favorite at Boro already.
BoroWeasel Posted 21 January 2014 Posted 21 January 2014 Who have boro really beat on that run? It's a bit like derby tbf then look at who we have beaten on our run Well we beat Burnley 1-0 and Reading 3-0 and both are very decent teams!
sylofox Posted 21 January 2014 Author Posted 21 January 2014 Hey, I didn't say anything really bad! I said nice things Just that I wouldn't of expected your team to do as well as they are. Search out the boro match thread at the start of the season. A lot on here did'nt expect it. Moaning before KO at the team and calling for NP's head. You did not say a lot but remember we are top after 26 games not half a dozen and we are at home. Still think it will be another hard fought 1-0 as a few of our games will be now. Makes it harder as everyone knows how we play now. Boro on the other hand having a newish manager makes them a little hard to read.
chapero82 Posted 21 January 2014 Posted 21 January 2014 Burnley and reading were both on poor runs tbf even Bournemouth beat reading, I'm not saying we will beat you because it's football anything can happen but to think we don't have many good players because of the Leeds game maybe you need to watch the game against derby which we were at home, Leeds is a hard place to go to last season we would have lost that
Dan Posted 21 January 2014 Posted 21 January 2014 It'd be very typical of Leicester to go and lose this following this crap from Alan Young In theory I believe we're the best side in the league and in this game have a superb chance to open up a gap where you'll really start to think it's ours to lose. If we win our next three games (and it's a big if, as is any three games in this league) we're in a superb position. If Middlesbrough turn up and try to out-football us then they'll just receive the same slapping Derby did because I'm convinced no side is better than us at doing that in this league. These and Derby both have awful records against Leicester - is it a co-incidence that they're two generally decent footballing sides as opposed to scrappy?

Fair enough bud, you are supporting your team and have belief which IMO is what being a fan is all about. I'm supposed to be doing some work from home today which is now involving an extended lunch break Whatever the result I am expecting a very good game! COYB.
Leicesterpool Posted 21 January 2014 Posted 21 January 2014 Going to be tough Middlesbrough certainly have improved since Mowbray left! 2-2 i think
sylofox Posted 21 January 2014 Author Posted 21 January 2014 BoroWeasel although I suspect a hard fought 1-0 win. Will you be popping in nxt week if we give you a right stuffing? As it is obvious you will if you win lol lol
Dan Posted 21 January 2014 Posted 21 January 2014 What I've gained from reading the leicester forum:If we go there and attack, they'll win. If we go there defend and counter attack, they'll win. If we play 4-2-3-1, they'll win. Basically, we'll lose no matter what.

Boro on the other hand having a newish manager makes them a little hard to read. I thought Pearson was gonna get the sack as well, didn't want him to cause we really like him down here Yeah it's going to be close, no decimation for either team for sure. Burnley and reading were both on poor runs tbf even Bournemouth beat reading, I'm not saying we will beat you because it's football anything can happen but to think we don't have many good players because of the Leeds game maybe you need to watch the game against derby which we were at home, Leeds is a hard place to go to last season we would have lost that I guess, reading are a bit unpredictable. We're just so much more solid under Karanka. Apart from the Bolton game we've kept 5 clean sheets in our last 6. We've only conceded 6 goals since Karanka took over! You guys seem very confident of being un-football-outable (that's definitely not a word ) but yeah we won't try to play that game, we'll be conservative and defend well, trying to shut out your threats. It would very championship like for the team who's top to lose a game like this an open the league up a bit more, happens every year Nope, I'm not here to aggrevate or troll just here cause I'm bored at work and I like discussing upcoming boro games with the opposition fans, I've gotta say this one of the nicer forums I've been on Indeed, I'm very aware that you are the team in the division at the moment which is why I don't think it'll be easy but I just have a sneaky feeling we're gonna scrape a point with you dominating or even a win with you dominating as well. I do think a draw is the most likely result though. But we can win!

As it is obvious you will if you win lol lol Of course, I like to see other fans analysis of the game, even if you batter us (which won't happen) then I'll still be here. Then I'll probably come back at the end of the season to congratulate you guys on going up, then ask for luck from you all for our playoff games (imagine this scarf is red and white)
beemeroo Posted 21 January 2014 Posted 21 January 2014 Hey opposition fans. I'd like you to tell me my teams going to win. If I'm super nice, maybe you'll rub my belly.
BoroWeasel Posted 21 January 2014 Posted 21 January 2014 Hey opposition fans. I'd like you to tell me my teams going to win. If I'm super nice, maybe you'll rub my belly. Your team might not win. Your belly is disgusting.
beemeroo Posted 21 January 2014 Posted 21 January 2014 Your team might not win. Your belly is disgusting. I'm not saying they will, but then I'm not on your forums seeking validation.
BoroWeasel Posted 21 January 2014 Posted 21 January 2014 I'm not saying they will, but then I'm not on your forums seeking validation. I'm not seeking validation, perhaps I'm just here to discuss football with opposition fans as I'm at work and extremely bored, and it's also interesting to hear other fans opinions on my team, the upcoming game and how it's going to fold out? Get a grip. Are you the sarcastic, arrogant douche that every forum seems to have? I'm going to assume you are.
Dan Posted 21 January 2014 Posted 21 January 2014 You guys seem very confident of being un-football-outable (that's definitely not a word ) but yeah we won't try to play that game, we'll be conservative and defend well, trying to shut out your threats. It would very championship like for the team who's top to lose a game like this an open the league up a bit more, happens every year Hardly anyone who comes here and tries to outplay us leaves with anything other than a 2 goal or more defeat. It's hard to dispute. The only teams who've got something here are Leeds (scruffy side), Burnley (they had a go in fairness) and Forest (most negative side all season and simply shouldn't have avoided a comfortable defeat, let alone win it 0-2) That won't go on forever but it's been the case for a while now. We're a very dangerous side at home and if you give us space, we'll punish you. Sounds like we're in for a tough one if your 4-3-2-1 is going to be used. Could well be a frustrating game and I wouldn't be surprised if it ended goalless.

Will even watch the games and cheer you on.

Fair enough, your team probably has more of an attacking threat than ours, our main threat comes from the wings in Carayol and Adomah with Ledesma as well, don't know how good your fullbacks are! We have been pressing a lot more under Karanka and if you're a team that needs space then Karanka could well start Smallwood because he tends to just run for the whole game pressing players. You won't have to ask very hard if you are playing the sheep or the trees from my point of view. Will even watch the games and cheer you on. I think it's very likely it'll be us and them in the playoffs, then probably Burnley.
