Burnley away: 12.15pm KO

Think Burnley was over 30 quid last year so hoping they have reduced little this year. Can't wait for march as can generally only get to the north west games so Wigan, Blackburn and burnley in a month will be nice. Aslong as I get tickets.

I like Burnley away. A proper ground, a nice low roof to generate some atmosphere with and if the weather's right there's the cricket pitch next door for pre match drinks.

Hoping to go to this

Better when it's the cricket season on too! Remember chanting at some bloke who had "Mortimer" written on his back once. "Morty, wherever you may be, you are the pride of Burn-ur-ley".  lol

Was that when we lost 3 nil a couple of years back?

At FT we were already back on m6 lol

Shocker. I spent the whole journey back getting leathered after that performance.

I quite like Burnley away also. Not as bad as it's made out to be. Give me Burnley away over Middlesbrough, Reading, Leeds, Ipswich etc...

Anyone go to the 1-3 win when we were managerless? That was unreal lol

The game itself is the main thing for me and early kick-offs are nearly always flat atmosphere wise whereas I'd say it's the total opposite for 5:20.

Fair enough. It's difficult to get a decent atmosphere going whatever time we play these days though. Of the aways i've done this season I think only the M'boro game was decent.

No time for the pub prior to the game and as stated the cricket club is a cracking place so will miss out on that this year. Not a fan of this change.

To be fair if this is the only one their moving between now and the 29th March that's not bad going, 2 months with no televised game saying we're currently top is actually pretty good, and at least it's away.

Which did you go out of interest?

I hope they offer this as a Fans Fixture (and to away fans too) with £15 adult tickets like we did when we played them on SKY. I wouldn't be surprised if this happened.

Big shame but not a big surprise.

The biggest problem for me is when the coaches will leave, I may be wrong but I don't think pre-9am on a Saturday actually exists?

Will probably do another away game instead, unless the tickets for this are cheap.

Is that the game where somebody ran on the pitch and had a go at the Burnley goalie!?

Train it. Beats the coach in my opinion and it's actually cheaper for this as well. Gonna book trains for this and Blackburn on Friday.

I'm 99.9% certain this will make general sale.

In that spirit and knowing exactly when the game is on I can book return tickets from London now for £21.

The catch is getting on a 7.30am train and being in Burnley almost 2 hours before kick off when I'd be surprised if any pubs are open!

Worth it?

Lucky sod. Trains from Leics are 4 hrs!

That is a real bonus of traveling from London to games - almost always the quickest and most direct route (albeit involving a change in Preston this time).

Public transport in the north west, with the exception of fast services from London to Liverpool/Manc/certain other towns, is absolutely atrocious.

I remember looking at doing this from my girlfriend's in Liverpool and it was going to take 2 and a half hours.  It's about 50 miles!

From football ground guide:

Away fans are housed in the covered David Fishwick Stand at one end of the ground. Approximately 4,125 fans can be accommodated in this area, although the normal allocation is 2,100.

So a very good allocation - I think this means everyone who wants to go will get one.

based on the water pooring through the roof last year, the phrase 'covered' may be a bit exagerated
