Mack Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 I have read that the owners will be at the game this weekend at home to Boro. Now they are here is person I was wondering who would be up for clapping them again in the 12th minute to show our appreciation of their dedication to the club in person. I for one would be happy to applaud.
Mack Posted 23 January 2014 Author Posted 23 January 2014 Yes but they were not at the game, whereas this week they are. The Birch said on Radio Leicester earlier they missed a lot of games lately due to only being able to spend so many days in the country or something. Anyway as they are in attendance on Saturday I thought it might be a nice gesture.
Dan Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 Nah. It's already happened and they've already been made aware of it. It's unnecessary.
C-man Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 I'll be too busy singing 'When You're Smiling'. Maybe we can dedicate a line to them?
TheUltimateWinner Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 Why don't we all whip our cocks out in unison and point them towards the directors box that should get their attention
Guest MattP Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 Oh ffs. How about we give Nigel a minutes applause for one match? You know, the man who has really done the work to put the club in a sound position on and off the pitch?
The Horse's Mouth Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 There should be a whats up doc chant.
Kitchandro Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 What are we clapping them for? It would be nice if half the people that stood up to clap in that match would make some noise occasionally for the team. Embarrassing that people will never get off their arse for the thing they support but will do it passionately for some rich guys like their our heroes.
Corky Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 Did Martin George ever get a minute's applause for appointing Brian Little and Martin O'Neill and overseeing two promotions and sustained top flight football?
Mack Posted 23 January 2014 Author Posted 23 January 2014 Well I for one respect the commitment they made to the club by writing off what would have been a club liquidating debt and funding our path to the top of the Championship and looking quite possible promotion candidates to the Premier League. Looks like I'll be applauding alone.
Uncle Monty Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 Why don't we all whip our cocks out in unison and point them towards the directors box that should get their attention Yes and a torch in the other hand!
Unabomber Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 I wouldn't mind a minutes applause, I'm in SK3 so you all know where to look.
One Legged Beaver Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 What are we clapping them for?Getting a PhD? Edit: This is a miserable attempt of me quoting on my phone -.-
Guest MattP Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 You're going to thank them for wiping out a "club liquidating debt"? You mean the one they oversaw? I'm off to clap the captain of the Titanic for giving us a superb film to watch.
Kitchandro Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 Well I for one respect the commitment they made to the club by writing off what would have been a club liquidating debt and funding our path to the top of the Championship and looking quite possible promotion candidates to the Premier League. Looks like I'll be applauding alone. I hope so and I hope everyone laughs at you. The debt they've cleared was accumulated by themselves. I'm fed up of this mindset where people think these guys give a shit about me and you. They don't. If they did they would charge us acceptable prices.
Danno Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 Clapping people for doing their jobs. Whatever next? Clapping people who serve you a cup of tea at half time?
Corky Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 Well I for one respect the commitment they made to the club by writing off what would have been a club liquidating debt and funding our path to the top of the Championship and looking quite possible promotion candidates to the Premier League. Looks like I'll be applauding alone. No you won't, Stringer will be according to his Twitter.
Deucalion Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 I get fed up of repeating myself on here, so I will just say I believe them to be the best owners in my 2 decades + of supporting the club, and from my knowledge of the history of the club, probably the best ever. My reasons for believing this are posted elsewhere. I'll clap !!
kingfox Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 We might as well chant fookin Hip Hip Hooray or sing Cliff Richard's Congratulations, just because he got a PhD. I wish fans would stop sucking chairman's & players dicks.
Hungry Hungry Fox Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 Some bitter people on here aren't there? Miserable ****ers!
Hungry Hungry Fox Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 Clapping people for doing their jobs. Whatever next? Clapping people who serve you a cup of tea at half time? I take it you don't clap when the team scores then? After all they are only doing their job
MattGamble92 Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 It's more embarrassing that a clap in unison stands out at our ground.
steveherbe Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 Yes and a torch in the other hand! Or in your case, a magnifying glass - allegedly!
Guest MattP Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 If they run up a debt again in the future do we have to give them a minute's booing when they turn up?
