Harry - LCFC Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 You're going to thank them for wiping out a "club liquidating debt"? You mean the one they oversaw? I'm off to clap the captain of the Titanic for giving us a superb film to watch. I agree. A hearty bout of "ONE NIGEL PEARSON" would be much better.
Hungry Hungry Fox Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 If they run up a debt again in the future do we have to give them a minute's booing when they turn up? You don't seem to aprove of our owners, would you like mandaric back?
Guest MattP Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 You don't seem to aprove of our owners, would you like mandaric back? No, Martin George would be nice though. I didn't approve of Sven either, but it didn't mean I wanted Peter Taylor back.
Hungry Hungry Fox Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 No, Martin George would be nice though. I didn't approve of Sven either, but it didn't mean I wanted Peter Taylor back. What exactly don't you like about our owners? I'm curious
Guest MattP Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 What exactly don't you like about our owners? I'm curious I don't dislike them, since the mistakes of Sven I've been impressed by them, even more so in the summer when they stuck with Nigel. I don't believe they should be lauded though for removing a debt they created. Let alone the interest they pocketed on it for two years.
Out Foxed Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 buying your ticket and supporting the team is your appreciation. stop it with these corny platitudes.
DennisNedry Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 I clapped first time, doing it again though is a bit much. How about on this 12th minute, we all sing 'One Nigel Pearson' instead? The man who has actually got us where we are.
broughtonblue Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 They did create the debt that they then cleared, but they created the debt in good faith, not many of us were moaning on here at the time. They were obviously badly advised, since then they have rectified their mistake, and created a very good football club both on and off the pitch. So do they deserve credit? It's a yes from me
davieG Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 I would hope that in the 12th minute and hopefully every other minute I'll be so gripped and consumed by the game I wont have a clue what minute it is. lcfc1994 Posted 24 January 2014 Posted 24 January 2014 This is why I love having a local chairman. Why does it matter if he's local?

deejdeej Posted 24 January 2014 Posted 24 January 2014 Wont be making the game due to being in Liverpool on a stag doo, if I was there I'd clap but unfortunately its much more likely I'll get the clap this Saturday.
Kitchandro Posted 24 January 2014 Posted 24 January 2014 They did create the debt that they then cleared, but they created the debt in good faith, not many of us were moaning on here at the time. It's a yes from me Oh I'm sorry I thought LCFC existed for 125 years before they came along. It's Pearson who's built this team, not the owners.
Kitchandro Posted 24 January 2014 Posted 24 January 2014 No surprise there then, it's what a percentage of 'fans' on here do best Fans have never supported the owners I might add. Fans are supposed support teams, the players that play for them and managers. Not the owners.

Lcfc did in fact exist before the current owners arrived, congratulations in noticing that! But as I said the current owners have created, at this present time a very good club.Pearson has done a brilliant job in building a team that hopefully will get us promoted with the backing of the owners, or did he buy vardy, knocky etc with money out of his own back pocket?
broughtonblue Posted 24 January 2014 Posted 24 January 2014 Fans have never supported the owners I might add. Fans are supposed support teams, the players that play for them and managers. Not the owners.I support lcfc the club, you might only support pieces of it, that's your choice
Dan Posted 24 January 2014 Posted 24 January 2014 They have not 'created' the club at all. I rate our owners (although there are certainly flaws) but lets not go mad here. It's embarrassing.
sylofox Posted 24 January 2014 Posted 24 January 2014 They did create the debt that they then cleared, but they created the debt in good faith, not many of us were moaning on here at the time. It's a yes from me Some of us did I hated the piss it up the wall attitude. Had no respect or trust for our owners and never hid that fact. Still ask the question now how much do they pay for using KP on our ground and shirts? However I do have a little trust now they have wrote off the debt. But still wonder is FFP the only motive. They are not and never will be City fans and want a pay back on the investment they have layed out. They are business men they want a pay back.
Asha Posted 24 January 2014 Posted 24 January 2014 If this is the kind of embarrassing shit you guys are doing nowadays, then I'm fvcking delighted that I can't regularly attend home games any more. What on earth is this obsession with minute applauses? All this planned, prolonged 'appreciation' for some irrelevant shit and there'll be (at best) a momentary polite ripple if the team pull off a genius passive move. Does anyone actually watch/care about what's happening on the pitch any more?
Dan Posted 24 January 2014 Posted 24 January 2014 They will soar in my estimation if it's revealed tomorrow that they answered the four questions relating to safe standing with the answers I want to hear...
The Year Of The Fox Posted 24 January 2014 Posted 24 January 2014 Oh ffs. How about we give Nigel a minutes applause for one match? You know, the man who has really done the work to put the club in a sound position on and off the pitch? this
maxwelld_ Posted 24 January 2014 Posted 24 January 2014 Wow there are some ungrateful ****ers on here aint there!
