Gary Rowett Posted 28 January 2014 Posted 28 January 2014 Season ticket holder from 1995-2012 I've been to more games than you've had hot dinners....and you wear size 36 waist trousers
MPH Posted 28 January 2014 Posted 28 January 2014 Season ticket holder from 1995-2012 I've been to more games than you've had hot dinners....and you wear size 36 waist trousers Nice try. But quite wrong. Even during our torrid years in the championship and even relegation to the first we were still averaging 20k gates. That super amazing club you talk about will be nothing if people only turn up when times are good. There won't be many teams that will be bought by investors that then invest in the club if people desert their clubs In their times of need. Congratulations on contributing to your clubs many seasons of mediocrity to come.
jonah Posted 28 January 2014 Posted 28 January 2014 Season ticket holder from 1995-2012 I've been to more games than you've had hot dinners....and you wear size 36 waist trousers Are you sure? I happen to know this person is a hot dinner specialist and can eat up too 3 a day.....thats a hell of a lot of games your gonna need to have gone too?
Kitchandro Posted 28 January 2014 Posted 28 January 2014 Maybe if my club threw £15m at the team every transfer window....like other clubs *ahem* *ahem* , then there'd be something to get excited about But who wants to watch a team of free transfers from League 2 playing in a freezing cold, empty stadium as the wind swirls as clubs like Leicester are winning 3-0 and 350 foxes fans are 'ole-ing' in the corner as players with names like 'Schloop' are doing flicks and tricks and passing the ball around us. Not for me thanks. I'll come back when the good times return 350...you're in for a shock! (Well you would be, if you could be arsed to turn up). It's funny you should mention free transfers from League 2, we've got one of those. You'll recognise him on the highlights as that number 9 who tears your defence to shreds and wins a penalty
Zapp Posted 28 January 2014 Posted 28 January 2014 Obviously we want our best 11 players out there every game but sometimes they need a rest. I'm not saying that they have shown signs of fatigue but the games have been coming thick and fast. After tonight we only have Saturday games until mid march. Even at this stage of the season I'd be disappointed if professional footballers under 30 couldn't manage 5 "90 minutes" (including tonight) in a month. I'm not saying they should play, it depends on the opposition or tactics NP wants to deploy. But if he wants to play the same starting 11 until march, their fatigue should not affect them
Kitchandro Posted 28 January 2014 Posted 28 January 2014 Vardy cost £1m kitch Whoops, right you are Still from League 2 though
Finnaldo Posted 28 January 2014 Posted 28 January 2014 Whoops, right you are Still from League 2 though *ConferenceNugent was a free though
Kitchandro Posted 28 January 2014 Posted 28 January 2014 *Conference Nugent was a free though Yeh you know what I was getting at, we've got free transfers and not loads of big names etc Were they still in the conference when we signed him? I thought they'd already been promoted.
MajorDanby Posted 28 January 2014 Posted 28 January 2014 Looks like a cold and potentially very wet night on what is usually a dodgy pitch - will be all about adapting to conditions. Just stopped raining here in Brum. Will hopefuly dry out a bit

I thought they'd already been promoted. I think the example you should be looking for is Sir Lloyd. Glad Gary Rowett's back. Brightens up the Birmingham match threads
Carl the Llama Posted 28 January 2014 Posted 28 January 2014 5 mins to kick off Bloody hell, you'd think they'd be desperate to sell tickets, not withholding 800 of them!
Mark_from_USA Posted 28 January 2014 Posted 28 January 2014 They are going to have to dig deep for this one. It will test their motivation somewhat if its bad weather away against a middling opponent. I'm looking for a Millwall away kind of performance perhaps. Leicester 2-1 for me,with a midfielder scoring at least one. Ahem....
gerrytaggart Posted 28 January 2014 Posted 28 January 2014 Well you never know do you son??..If your 12000 fans get behind your team you might stand a chance of getting something out of the game...cant see it myself but you never know?. Realistically im going for a 1-2. tight scoreline not reflecting a dominant away display. Well played gerry. Mystical prediction. ...what?

MC Prussian Posted 28 January 2014 Posted 28 January 2014 As long as Birmingham don't sack their manager before tonight's game, we should be doing ok. Teams with a bad run don't usually do badly against us, especially when we're on the road. So far, we've done a brilliant job against our immediate competition, as well as upper-midtable and mid table clubs, but it remains to be seen how we fare against a team slowly, but steadily sucked into a possible relegation battle (I know, still too early). I fancy us to win this by a narrow margin. 2-1 Leicester. Erm, Col... I told you so.

Unabomber Posted 28 January 2014 Posted 28 January 2014 Gary Rowett's in a mardy, because of Lloyd and Jamie Vardy
Guest Col city fan Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 I think we'll win.. 2-1 in a scrappy contest. What I don't get are those clamouring to change a winning side. Eg. 'Bring King in'.. Why? If we win this, we go even further clear and if QPR then go on to beat Burnley, it becomes even more a two horse race. No, stick with the same 11 (if fit), go for the jugular and put the chasers under even more pressure.
Guest Col city fan Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 Head says we should smash them. Heart is nervous. Head goes 0-3, King to come in and score 2...
