M0901 Posted 19 February 2014 Posted 19 February 2014 Dyer and Nugent are off form at the moment, I'd replace them with Mahrez and Wood. Agreed. They were both firing on all cylinders but Mahrez will have confidence now, and Wood needs to prove himself.
Guest ttfn Posted 19 February 2014 Posted 19 February 2014 My ratings (out of 10) based on the 5 Live commentary: Reid 100 - Godly and he's not fat, just big-boned. Paterson 103 - Like a younger, more Foresty Ronaldo. Referee -100 - Only sent off one Leicester player and gave just one penalty to Forest. Schmeichel 8 - Easily Leicester's best player, the only thing stopping Forest from getting a deserved 10-0 victory apart from the pesky referee.
Langston Posted 19 February 2014 Posted 19 February 2014 I hope Dickov22 and that dense RedSox moron might actually give Wasyl some credit after tonight.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 19 February 2014 Posted 19 February 2014 Kasper 7 RDL 7 Waso 7 Morgan 5 Konch 4 Knocky 6 DD 8 James 7 Dyer 4 Nugent 5 Vardy 8 Riyad 7 Phillips 6 Moore 6
Dickov22 Posted 19 February 2014 Posted 19 February 2014 I went to the game Kasper 7 Brilliant save early on. No chance with the header De Laet 5 Caught upfield quite a few times. Marking a very good player in Paterson Morgan 6 Ridiculous penalty to concede and that clouded an otherwise dominant performance Wasilewski 8.5 Good in possession, strong, measured. Excellent performance Konchesky 2 if it was Mackie he fouled for his red, they'd had a go at each other five minutes before the red. Reckless challenge that could have been yellow but he's a complete idiot. Lost his head and he should know better at his age Dyer 6 Struggled to get into the game James 7 Tirelesss performance. Didn't dominate like he usually does but played well Drinkwater 9 Brilliant. Positive, got stuck in, got forward, was everywhere Knockaert 6 As with Dyer, struggled to get into the game. Lost possession a few times Nugent 6.5 Good movement and link up play. Missed two glorious chances Vardy 10 Absolutely magnificent. An unbelievable performance of pace desire and brilliant link up play Phillips 5 Looked off the pace. Mahrez 8 May get a deserved start on Saturday. Skilful, positive and dangerous Moore 8 Filled in brilliantly at left back
Fox92 Posted 19 February 2014 Posted 19 February 2014 Kasper 6 De Laet 7 Morgan 7 - solid after the penalty incident, including clearing one off the kind (or it looked like it) Was 7 Konchesky 5 - couldn't really see the challenge but from an experienced player? Knockaert 6 Drinkwater 8 - never gave up and did so well with the penalty, nearly scored at the end James 7 Dyer 5 - very ineffective Nugent 6 Vardy 8 - brilliant, gave everything in which he ended up at left full back
Charnwood Norris Posted 19 February 2014 Posted 19 February 2014 Kasper 6 De Laet 7 Morgan 7 - solid after the penalty incident, including clearing one off the kind (or it looked like it) Was 7 Konchesky 5 - couldn't really see the challenge but from an experienced player? Bert Posted 19 February 2014 Posted 19 February 2014 Kasper 6 - One decent save, otherwise a standard day. Shoulders most of the blame for their penalty though. He called for it and then hesitated which lead to the penalty being awarded even if I think it wasn't. RDL 5 - Up against a good winger but had his worst game for a while. Konch 3 - Ridiculous challenge. Could've cost us big time. Morgan 7 - Solid throughout. Unlucky with the penalty thought their lad brought him down. Wasilewski 6 - Doesn't win enough in the air for a bloke of his size. Wish he'd take a first touch times but if that's all there is to criticise it can't be that bad. Dyer 5 - Did next to nothing. Knocky 6 - Again tried too much at times but at times gave them something to think about. James 7 - Played a big part in the equaliser, and sat much deeper with ten minute giving Drinky some freedom to play. Drinky 9 - Was having a good game, but really stepped up when we had the ten men. Took it to them and the game by the scruff of the neck. Nuge 6 - His only telling contribution was chasing the ball down to force Darlow into a mistake for our first. Vardy 8 - Another goal and an absolute heroic performance. Was everywhere and absolutely bust his balls. Moore 7 - Solid. Mahrez 7 - Another promising performance. Secured us a point. Phillips 5 - Missed a penalty and that's all I can remember.
tommypello Posted 20 February 2014 Posted 20 February 2014 Schmeichel 8 - Did what he had to, partly to blame with his call for Forest Pen De Laet 5 - Didnt get into game, Morgan 8 - Apart from pen was solid Wasilewski 8 - decent game was in control Konchesky 3 - Poor again.... weak link all season James 7 - broke up play well Drinkwater 8 - Never stopped created most of city's chances Knockaert 6 - never really got into game, was kept quiet Dyer 6 - was defensive, rarely broke forward not at his best Vardy 9 - never stopped running, nicely taken goal. Nugent 6 - worked hard should have scored wasn't to be. Moore 6 - looked lively Phillips 5 - couple of nice touches, not the best pen Mahrez 6 - caught on the ball a couple of times, doesn't look ready to start yet, nice 1st goal.
Tielemans63 Posted 20 February 2014 Posted 20 February 2014 Kasper 6 - One decent save, otherwise a standard day. Shoulders most of the blame for their penalty though. He called for it and then hesitated which lead to the penalty being awarded even if I think it wasn't. Was going to post exactly this. Morgan got all the stick for a bit of an embarrassing challenge but he was left with no choice as Kasper seemed to call but then didn't rush out. Disagree that their player fouled Morgan though - in all honesty Wes should have walked. I was at the game and though I was delighted with the character and the spirit I thought we were actually pretty poor at times. I'm a massive fan of Pearson and this current team but it needs a bit of freshening up imho. As much as I hate to say it, Billy had us sussed and Forest should have won comfortably.
BrummieFOX Posted 20 February 2014 Posted 20 February 2014 Schmeichel 6.5 - Made one great save from Collins but thought there were a number of dangerous balls put into our box that he should have come for. De Laet 4.5- Didn't think he had a good game at all. Gave the ball away a lot and Patterson had the beating of him nearly everytime. Morgan 7 - Pretty solid apart from the 'pen' - I need to see some more angles on that. Wasilewski 7 - He's a beast and very strong but distribution is fairly poor. Did his job though. Konchesky 4 - Wreckless challenge but didn't do too much wrong before that. Could have cost us though. James 7.5 - Absolutely in love with Jamo. He's got so much class. Uses the ball really well and gets stuck in. I never noticed what an engine he has one him until last night, barely stopped. Him and Drinkwater really stepped up after we went down to 10 men and we became the better team. Drinkwater 7.5 - Same as Jamo. Absolute battler but uses the ball really well. Would have been 8 but he pulled a brilliant chance wide when he really should have hit the target. Knockaert 6 - Tricky as ever and does make things happen but not much in the way of clear cut chances come from him. Always puts in a shift though. Dyer 3 - Didn't do a lot at all. Unsure if he's tired or off form. Vardy 8 - Ran himself into the ground, he was flat out at the end of the game. Got his goal through hassling and he's got a hell of a leap on him - beat Collins in the air a number of times. Nugent 3 - Missed a sitter and didn't contribute much else other than a bit of pressing. Overall I thought we were 2nd best until we went down to 10 men. I know where people were coming from saying we were lucky with the draw. I thought we were probably good for it in the end simply because we never gave up and kept the ball much better when we went down to 10 but could have 3 or 4-1 down by the time we got the pen. Brilliant point though! Hope we can maximise that with 6 points from our two home games coming up.
