Harry - LCFC Posted 20 February 2014 Posted 20 February 2014 Can I ask what that Gorilla/lawnmower video is about? Seen it a number of times and I'm baffled by it
Captain... Posted 20 February 2014 Posted 20 February 2014 Nobody noticed that the fake threads and usernames are quite clearly a different font to the real ones then? Come on, LTLF is a funny enough read without having to resort to parody. I got the user names had changed, but I thought the thread titles all seemed very believable...

Captain... Posted 20 February 2014 Posted 20 February 2014 I've been trying to work this out for a while now, not very hard mind and not enough to go on their site and check, but what does LTLF stand for?

LCCFox96 Posted 20 February 2014 Posted 20 February 2014 Built a team at great expense. They spent nearly triple what we have this year. It must even things out. We've scaled down our investment they scaled up. Simple as. Seriously how do we play hoof it football? We are a reasonably small side compared to other (upfront and in midfield) so hoofing it wouldn't work. If forest fans opened they're eyes they could see the football we play. On the who has better players argument. That's just a bit silly. Both sides clearly have good players or we wouldn't be safely in the top 6. Whilst we all know where our quality lies they have some eye catching players too. Lansbury and Reid (as much as I hate that fat twat he has an excellent delivery and makes things happen) stand out for me. But then clearly our squad is stronger as it's 10 points ahead at that top. As for needing to change loads if we go up - good joke. There is an abundance of high quality young players in the squad, as fitting with Pearson's ethos and a number of experienced players (some international) who I'm sure many would be happy to see stay on. Yes we will need to add - as will forest if they go up (but it doesn't matter as Simon Cox and Greg Halford are PL quality) Everyone who goes up does. Hell even city and Chelsea look to strengthen year on year. Bottom line is who even cares now? They're just bitter they pissed away a good lead last night against 10 men. We got what we wanted - a valuable point to keep momentum and the unbeaten run going and maintain our lead over Burnley. A job well done and onto the next one I say.

Famous Team Posted 20 February 2014 Posted 20 February 2014 Gotta say I agree with a lot of this thread, but the suggestion that all Forest fans are thick/horrible etc just because some are is, well, a bit harsh to say the least.....
cjslcfc Posted 20 February 2014 Posted 20 February 2014 Gotta say I agree with a lot of this thread, but the suggestion that all Forest fans are thick/horrible etc just because some are is, well, a bit harsh to say the least..... 3 posts... Hmmmm you can't be a Leicester supporter with such positive things to say about Forest. A fan of what team would come on here with the username "Famous Team"? Hmmmmm. In all seriousness though can we have that lad Paterson or whatever his name is next summer if we make the rise to the EPL. Looks a player. Bit lightweight but very skillful.

Famous Team Posted 20 February 2014 Posted 20 February 2014 You do know Forest aren't famous nowadays don't you? I was being a little bit ironic when I chose the name. It amuses me seeing opposition fans reaction to us referring to ourselves as the famous team.
Babylon Posted 20 February 2014 Posted 20 February 2014 Gotta say I agree with a lot of this thread, but the suggestion that all Forest fans are thick/horrible etc just because some are is, well, a bit harsh to say the least..... We know you aren't all horrible, we have a few nice ones on here who come from the dark side of the trent. We all have our own morons, and they get highlighted on both forums I'm sure, whilst the mild mannered level headed ones tend to be ignored... because, well, they aren't idiots.

Not all, RedHux on here is a cracking poster and I do have a few mates who support Forest. These are all sensible people with whom we can talk football on a sensible level, but you do have an enormous amount of cretins following your team. A much higher proportion than most clubs, I would argue.

Weren't we linked with Paterson in the summer? Work with a Walsall fan and he said we were tracking him. A much higher proportion than most clubs, I would argue. Almost more than us, and that takes some going.

Almost more than us, and that takes some going. We have some dense ones, but I honestly think Forest have a significantly higher proportion of morons than we do. Quite the achievement. This was a club that had half a stand singing racist songs at fans of a club they claim not to care about, albeit on every form of media they can lay their hands on.
Zingari Posted 20 February 2014 Posted 20 February 2014 Excuse my ignorance about all things Forest , but wtf has an old Righteous Brothers ( LTLF) hit song got to do with supporting forest ?
Babylon Posted 20 February 2014 Posted 20 February 2014 Excuse my ignorance about all things Forest , but wtf has an old Righteous Brothers ( LTLF) hit song got to do with supporting forest ? Because they are all self-righteous?
Carl the Llama Posted 20 February 2014 Posted 20 February 2014 I was being a little bit ironic when I chose the name. It amuses me seeing opposition fans reaction to us referring to ourselves as the famous team. So you're only here to display a facade of politeness while actually trying to get a reaction? Shock horror. Bore off - as has been mentioned we already have a welcome F****t fan on this board, we don't need to entertain attention seekers like you. If you genuinely want to be a productive member of this forum you're more than welcome, but drop the smug act.
Manwell Pablo Posted 20 February 2014 Posted 20 February 2014 Excuse my ignorance about all things Forest , but wtf has an old Righteous Brothers ( LTLF) hit song got to do with supporting forest ? They sing it.
Famous Team Posted 20 February 2014 Posted 20 February 2014 Excuse my ignorance about all things Forest , but wtf has an old Righteous Brothers ( LTLF) hit song got to do with supporting forest ? That's a very good question. I'm a Forest fan in his late 40s and I'm ****ed if I know. It started way back in the 80s or possibly early 90s. Possibly about the time the song was used in Top Gun. For some reason lost to history Forest fans started singing it and it's stuck to this day. Not totally dis-similar to Stoke fans and Delilah....

I honestly didn't choose that name thinking it might cause any animosity and I'll happily change it.
Guest Bilo Posted 20 February 2014 Posted 20 February 2014 Personally think CTL is being a bit touchy. I'm sure any Forest fan with an IQ higher than Forrest Gump sings that song with more than a hint of irony.
deejdeej Posted 20 February 2014 Posted 20 February 2014 They think they're much more important to us than they actually are, most of us care very little about what Forest are doing unless it affects us,which right now is the case along with Derby, Qpr and Burnley. That being said, I am truly devastated that we'll never compete for the highly prestigious Brian Clough Trophy and am massively jealous of their rivalry with Derby that is so fierce makes Boca v River Plate more like a chess match.
