Personally think CTL is being a bit touchy.

I'm sure any Forest fan with an IQ higher than Forrest Gump sings that song with more than a hint of irony.

Only issue there is that there are very few of those around. Intelligent forest fans are very much an endangered species.

So you're only here to display a facade of politeness while actually trying to get a reaction?  Shock horror.  Bore off - as has been mentioned we already have a welcome F****t fan on this board, we don't need to entertain attention seekers like you.

If you genuinely want to be a productive member of this forum you're more than welcome, but drop the smug act.

Oh grow up, he hasn't said anything that would wind anyone up.

Having lived and worked in Derby, Nottingham and Leicester, I can safely say that neither Derby or Forest give a shit about us. Having said that, they hate us as much as they do each other. (Make of that what you will) maybe its that Both clubs slightly look down their noses cuz once upon a forgotten generation they won the old first division, and forest won a pot in Europe a couple of times.

As for our city being a shite hole...yes, it has its issues, but no worse than Nottingham. I will give Derby their due, they love their footy and all the kids wear derby shirts. The people there are OK and not as up them selves as forest, that's for sure.

All together now ...we hate Nottingham...

If they love their football how come they never travel anywhere to watch it?

More annoying than anything about Forest is people trying to claim Derby is a footballing city.

Derby really are nobodies, they've had 5 impressive years in their entire history and have just been a boring, no mark club with shit fans the rest of the time.

Leicester and Forest are both Premiership clubs in their own right but Derby would actually be nothing without their association with Forest, which they decided to have in the 80s.

Forest are cvnts but at least they're a fair number of cvnts.

Derby ain't a footballing city, l was referring to the whole of Derbyshire. Rarely kids wear anything other than Derby stuff. Lived in Derbyshire for ten years, so I think my "opinion" is valid. And yes, forest are CV TS.

Is it possible to change your user name on here once the account's been created?

I honestly didn't choose that name thinking it might cause any animosity and I'll happily change it.

Don't worry about him.

I'm a Forest fan, not pretending to be otherwise.

Was only messing. The "famous team" tag always amuses me. Anyway the main thing I wanted to say was Patterson is class. I want him at our club

Five more than us then.

EDIT: And for your info Kitch they've spent more seasons in the top flight than us or Forest and were the last one out of the three of us to play Premier League football. So if anyone's a top level club in their own right, it's them

we were pretty good in the 60's and the MON era  :D

Yeah but if we're counting that I'm pretty sure they finished above us one or two seasons when we were both up there :P !

But they still love sheep... which cancels out any success they have ever had.

yes you're right , they were,  but they seemed like good times to us back then . :)

it's a real pity , but i can't ever imagine home town teams like us, forest, derby , ipswich etc ever really competing for league titles ( or European cups) like they did back then

Think you are being harsh on Derby there (and I'm no fan of them). Their league titles are not to be ignored.

I feel sorry for them.

They're so desperate to be seen as relevant, they literally cannot handle the truth that they're a slightly above average Championship ground that no one past Melton Mowbray gives a shit about.

lol

I've simply never known a fanbase like it. They truly do think that the world owes Nottingham Forest something - funny how performance and the fact their dire percentage football back in November was known as a 'solid defensive display'. We were better last night than they were in November but of course, it all changes when the boot is on the other foot.

I keep repeating myself here but I feel more and more for the decent Forest fans, because they truly are unbelievable.

Harsh on Derby... They've won the top flight, the FA Cup as well as being semi finalists in the European Cup.

They've had more years in the top flight than us and I'm sure they are a founding member of the football league as well.

It’s simple. Forest and Derby think they’re big clubs. They hate that no one pays much attention to them nowadays so will do anything to gain power through relevance. Hence why they play for a trophy and Forest call their ground ‘world famous’. Finally, they use the opportunity to dismiss the local rival who has outperformed them in recent years but they still think is beneath them as irrelevant. Thus pouring all their attentions in to one forced derby in the hope, people will take notice and they will be relevant again. It’s really like that as far as I can see. That’s why they place so much emphasis on the notion of ‘not caring’ because nobody in football ‘cares’ what they’re doing anymore.

I mean doesn't it say a lot that them topping a poll of about 200 votes on who fans would prefer to get promoted made local news?

It's great to see the blubbering, sad little toads of Nottingham, and Derby, crying in their pints of flat beer. Get a life you foreign geezers, come to Leicester and see a real football team.

On another note, I love the music, and am trying to find a C.D. of Monks chanting. Anyone got any ideas?

I wouldn't take much notice of the 'World Famous City Ground' remark, Sheffield United always introduce Bramall Lane as 'beautiful' and it's not.

Both Derby and Forest had brief spells of glory because of one Factor.

BRIAN CLOUGH

He is without doubt the greatest English manager never to have managed England. He got two small pretty insignificant midlands teams to the pinnacle of the English league system and he had success in Europe with them.

Everyone rates Ferguson, Mourinio and Wenger, but could they have the same success with the likes of Forest and Derby.

Leicester have had a number of great periods in history. In my 53 years the best times have been:

The early 60's (with cup finals, a runners up place and a league cup win)

The Bloomfield era (no trophies but plaudits from many for the attractive football we played, recognised by England caps for some of our players)

The O'Neil era (a very successful 4/5 years).

Come on City, get promotion and give us an other spell of great football and success.

Sod our East Midlands neighbours, without Clough they really would have nothing.

I love the whole "that side would get beat every week in the Premier League" argument, like we aren't going to use the time, resources and scouting available to us over the summer should we go up and stick with the entire same squad.

Top post.

We should concentrate on promotion and then establishing ourselves in the Prem again. Let these two other clubs fight it out for Brian Clough Cup in the Championship
