foxes_rule1978 Posted 19 February 2014 Posted 19 February 2014 Burnley, Reading, Wigan and QPR are the most difficult left... But yes we have some really good home fixtures in that list and should be able to do enough...
ScouseFox Posted 19 February 2014 Posted 19 February 2014 We could easy lose 3 vs Burnley (a), Reading (a), QPR (h). That's 9. We won't though so it's ok.
Guest MattP Posted 19 February 2014 Posted 19 February 2014 Leicester v Ipswich Leicester v Charlton Barnsley v Leicester Leicester v Blackpool Blackburn v Leicester Leicester v Yeovil Burnley v Leicester Wigan vs Leicester Leicester v Sheff Wed Leicester v Brighton Reading v Leicester Leicester v QPR Bolton v Leicester Huddersfield v Leicester Leicester v Doncaster Sorry boys, but I reckon we're going up These six are just so crucial now, we can almost put this to bed over the next month or so. Just 12 points from those puts us onto 80 and the verge of being up with nine still to play. Massive month.
StanSP Posted 19 February 2014 Posted 19 February 2014 That run of Brighton, Reading & QPR could be tough, regardless of home/away. Out of the whole lot, I'd actually say Wigan away is the toughest.
sdb Posted 19 February 2014 Posted 19 February 2014 Let's not forget the teams we actually have lost to this season. Complacency is our biggest opponent and it's got us a couple of times already this season. 1 game at a time! Please!!
Kyle_Le_Don Posted 19 February 2014 Posted 19 February 2014 I can see a at least 10 wins in there! Even if the rest are losses that should just about do it!

Complacency is our biggest opponent and it's got us a couple of times already this season. 1 game at a time! Please!! Our levels of resilience seem to have overpowered complacency this season. There are some games where in previous seasons we would have lost, but this time around we've even gone on to win them. I do agree that complacency can creep in at any time, but the players and staff seem more aware of it and seem to have the know-how on how to combat it this season.

Complacency is our biggest opponent and it's got us a couple of times already this season. 1 game at a time! Please!! Yeah I was looking at that before tonight. We've lost to teams (currently) placed 5th, 8th, 17th, 20th and 22nd.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 19 February 2014 Posted 19 February 2014 Well we've dropped 16 points against those sides already this season, so there's every chance of us dropping 10 against them. We may drop more than 10 but the others below us would have to pretty much win all their games .
VLC86 Posted 19 February 2014 Posted 19 February 2014 Well we've dropped 16 points against those sides already this season, so there's every chance of us dropping 10 against them. Clearly the original poster means 2nd place closing the gap rather than dropping 10 points from 16 games as if we do that we would finish on 106 points which is highly unlikely

Guest kristianity77 Posted 19 February 2014 Posted 19 February 2014 Even being amazingly conservative I cant see us not getting enough points from here Leicester v Ipswich (1) Draw Leicester v Charlton (4) Win Barnsley v Leicester (5) Draw Leicester v Blackpool (8) Win Blackburn v Leicester (8) Lose Leicester v Yeovil (11) Win Burnley v Leicester (11) Lose Wigan vs Leicester (11) Lose Leicester v Sheff Wed (14) Win Leicester v Brighton (15) Draw Reading v Leicester (15) Lose Leicester v QPR (15) Lose Bolton v Leicester (16) Draw Huddersfield v Leicester (17) Draw Leicester v Doncaster (20) Win Even thats 88 points which to me looks like its enough to get over the line.
whoareyaaa Posted 19 February 2014 Posted 19 February 2014 I think we could easily win the next 5 out of those first 6 games which would put us on 83 points with 9 games to play. Considering other teams below us will be playing each other everything could look very rosy by the end of March
ScouseFox Posted 20 February 2014 Posted 20 February 2014 Yeah, we've gotta go nuts in these next 6 games, anything more than 4 wins and we have 9 games to get what I doubt will be more than 10 points. heheheh we're gonna do it woo
AKCJ Posted 20 February 2014 Author Posted 20 February 2014 Well we've dropped 16 points against those sides already this season, so there's every chance of us dropping 10 against them. 9 of which being away to Donny, Charlton and Sheff Wed. We'd be clear favourites against all of those at home you have to say.
bluesbrothers Posted 20 February 2014 Posted 20 February 2014 These (the next) six are just so crucial now, we can almost put this to bed over the next month or so. Just 12 points from those puts us onto 80 and the verge of being up with nine still to play. Massive month. Amen to that. Ipswich are a solid outfit now and I'm sure we'll get a game from them, but the rest are 100% beatable. That being said, we do have to be wary of Yeovil*, who are seemingly a better outfit away than at home. Their defense is poor, however. Get 'yer dosh on another high-score Leicester win a la Bolton and ol' BluesBrothers might earn you a cheeky ton. *DISCLAIMER - No, really, I'm super serious.
ScouseFox Posted 20 February 2014 Posted 20 February 2014 9 of which being away to Donny, Charlton and Sheff Wed. We'd be clear favourites against all of those at home you have to say. We were clear favourites in the corresponding away games, too. And lost.
Rincewind Posted 20 February 2014 Posted 20 February 2014 Where can the teams below us gain 10 points? Or More.
AKCJ Posted 20 February 2014 Author Posted 20 February 2014 Can anyone find that old BBC Predictor application? Quite fancy seeing how it'll pan out.
Mark_w Posted 20 February 2014 Posted 20 February 2014 Can anyone find that old BBC Predictor application? Quite fancy seeing how it'll pan out. Think it's gone.
cjslcfc Posted 20 February 2014 Posted 20 February 2014 It's not even this. If we drop 10 points the teams below us then have to gain those 10 points as well. For two teams to take 8 and 10 more points than us from now until the end of the season is very hard to see. Anyway, we aren't up yet but tonight, despite being only 1 point, was a massive result.
Rincewind Posted 20 February 2014 Posted 20 February 2014 There is a position tracker on Talking Balls. According to that no team has failed to win promotion with over 60 points at this stage of the season. Only one team failed to win promotion who were top. This is over the last 20 seasons. When it gets to 10-12 games left I think its time to worry or not. If our position is the same it will mean 2nd position will need twice as many points to be Champions and 3rd about win them all. So we can drop as many points as them.. Who do Burnley etc play next?
