howlinmadmurfdoc Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 William Hill were 6/1 on Hurricane Fly this morning.
ScouseFox Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 William Hill were 6/1 on Hurricane Fly this morning. all the bookies taking on the fly. coral went 4/1 for a limited time, hills 6/1, ladbrokes are money back if he's first or second. they all did this last year and he got home. you'd think they'd learn! more of the same from the champ i hope.

ScouseFox Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 the exchange is madness for the champion hurdle. 2 mill matched so far today, hurricane fly is 4.4, mtoy is 4.4 and the new one is... 4.4. talk about not being able to separate them!

General Smuts Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 Anyone got a link? Channel 4 is being a dick for me at work.
GingerrrFox Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 Josses Hill money came late and a lovely return for 2nd. Fair play to Ruby on Vautour, he really is the best jockey at Cheltenham.
General Smuts Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 Try catchup tv smuts? Hero. Cheers. Picked my first winner as well. 76p at 3/1. God damn I'm shitting gold these days.
Bert Posted 11 March 2014 Author Posted 11 March 2014 Course record and a front running win in the supreme. Quality.
goose2010 Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 champagne fever done on the line by 33/1 shot western war horse!
GingerrrFox Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 £38 traded at 1000.0 on betfair during the race. What a way to earn £38,000 for that lucky bastard.
K1FOX Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 Had £200 on vautour. The beauty! What's everyone thinking for the 2.40?
goose2010 Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 How's he managed to get that up! Absolutely no idea think Ruby was stunned as much as everyone else to be honest!
K1FOX Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 Get in! Had Holywell £100 each way returned 1450 and the package for a place £20 5/1

Bert Posted 11 March 2014 Author Posted 11 March 2014 Fantastic day of racing! Can't wait until Thursday and Friday when I'm in amongst it all. Hopefully tomorrow is just as good too.
GingerrrFox Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 Fantastic day of racing! Can't wait until Thursday and Friday when I'm in amongst it all. Hopefully tomorrow is just as good too. You are there for the best day of the week on Thursday Bert. The World Hurdle is the race I'm most looking forward to out of them all.
Matt Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 Not a bad day. I had £10 of my own money on Irving (Lost) £1 e/w on Holywell (Won £14.50) £10 Free bet on Hurricane Fly (Lost) £10 on Quevega (Coral New Customers only 4/1 offer - Won £50) £10 Double - Rock On Ruby/Hurricane Fly (Betfair offer that is the double losses I get a free £10 for tomorrow) Kicking myself because I fancied Present View in the last race but read the write up and it swayed me away, it only bleedin' won, oh well, atleast I had 2 nice winners. Hoping it continues - I normally start the festival quite poorly and pull it back on Thursday/Friday so it worries me i've done well on the 1st day! I think the reason I did reasonably well on the first day this year is because i've not really bet all that much and obviously the nice Coral offer helped me out. Sad to hear of the news about Our Connor also.
ScouseFox Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 Not a lot of action from myself today in terms of wins or losses, had a double with betfair that gives me money back, lost a fiver on the fly but first part of my big festival double is in thanks to quevega. had an irish novice treble too, ruby to do the business, vautour first of them home. faugheen and briar hill to follow working was hectic, few had massive wins, everyone seemed pretty sad jezki won though, and there was a lot of angry people when champagne fever was chinned . all good fun.
ScouseFox Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 had the first two favs at wolves tonight in a £8 free treble with sire de grugy. i don't even know why. they both won so now onto sire tomorrow, not sure what i think about him, might be a lay if i feel different in the morning.
