ScouseFox Posted 13 March 2014 Posted 13 March 2014 Hoping Annie Power travels strongly through the race to the last 4 or 5 furlongs, which she should, and then we will find out if she stays. And by that time I will have layed at odds on and won't even care for the result. mystic meg. traded out of there at 1.7 at the last fence to see a small profit but more importantly lose nothing. didn't think she'd stay and that overconfident irish money that came for her didn't really persuade me otherwise.
AjcW Posted 13 March 2014 Posted 13 March 2014 I got some money back on my Dynasty/Power double as i went E/W... i'm still in a very small profit haa
Tom17LCFC Posted 13 March 2014 Posted 13 March 2014 Next should be a cracker, on At Fishers Cross EW myself. Near on impossible to call between Annie Power and Big Bucks but I'd go for Annie Power. Will do! had Taquin Du Seuil earlier as well, flopped in the other 2 haha, Third Intention next
ScouseFox Posted 13 March 2014 Posted 13 March 2014 big bucks retired. last two runs or not still the best staying hurdler of all time.
chrishlcfc Posted 13 March 2014 Posted 13 March 2014 Had £60 going onto Annie Power from literally small stakes doubles/singles gutted
separator Posted 13 March 2014 Posted 13 March 2014 Big Bucks. @ 4/1, money back if 2nd to Annie. Also had an each way on More Of That @ 10s in the same race Had a fiver each way on More Of That. Decent return
Guest MattP Posted 13 March 2014 Posted 13 March 2014 big bucks retired. last two runs or not still the best staying hurdler of all time. Absolute hero, a brilliant brilliat horse and one of my all time favourites. mystic meg. traded out of there at 1.7 at the last fence to see a small profit but more importantly lose nothing. didn't think she'd stay and that overconfident irish money that came for her didn't really persuade me otherwise. Good shout, I think the "didn't stay" thing is a bit harsh though, kept on better than a very good stayer in At Fishers Cross. Optimum distance is definintely 2m6 but I think she'll have another pop at 3miles at Aintree. I just think she might have been beaten by something else that is clearly also a very special horse.

Yeah maybe, she can clearly go more than 2m but 3m might be pushing it. Was giving a tug early on too and had to switch at the turn in. Both little things but could make that difference over a new trip. Be interesting if she gives it a go again, will put an end to the debate as to whether she was forced into the World because Ruby wouldn't get off Hurricane Fly in the Champion or whether her being a stayer was always the plan.

Agree with that definitely and listening to Ruby and he just echoed them thoughts, travelled a bit keenly but just think thats a good horse that's beat it.
chrishlcfc Posted 13 March 2014 Posted 13 March 2014 Up a bit on the day, but would have won some serious money if Annie Power won.
StanSP Posted 13 March 2014 Posted 13 March 2014 Only returns for today were Annie Power/Colour Squadron double. Hoping for better tomorrow.
Bert Posted 13 March 2014 Author Posted 13 March 2014 Annie Power definitely stayed the trip. Been a good day. Had Dynaste and More of that win for me. Roberto Goldback and Double Ross EW And Trustan times to place on the tote which was ok. Back for more tomorrow. Cannot wait.
ScouseFox Posted 13 March 2014 Posted 13 March 2014 Briar Hill to hopefully save my festival tomorrow I am having one hell of a week off next week if he comes in.
Matt Posted 13 March 2014 Posted 13 March 2014 This is crazy! Won another £50 today, won about £200 during this festival, I think this is probably my best festival betting wise! Brilliant! It's tough to pick, i'm not gonna deny it isn't, but does anyone think it's slightly 'easier' this year for some reason? Or have I just been lucky? Or have favourites won more this year/Outsiders won less this year? No huge priced outsiders have really won have they? Also bookies seem to have gone made this year with their free bet offers, I've had loads and still have £40 worth a free bets to play with! I can't believe it's the last day tomorrow I'm abit gutted about the World Hurdle outcome, I was a big Annie Power fan and bet on her, but wouldn't have minded Big Bucks winning one last time.

About time your luck changed!
Matt Posted 13 March 2014 Posted 13 March 2014 About time your luck changed! I know, tell me about it! I think it's just football betting that fucks me, i'm leaving it alone for a while, I seem (Touch wood) far more successful betting on horses than football. IMO it should be easier to pick football than horses though I would think. Hoping for a nice end to the festival tomorrow
K1FOX Posted 13 March 2014 Posted 13 March 2014 Iv won 5700 so far this festival. Another great day today, last two races lost me Abit of money but £5700 I'm not complaining.

No offence mate but you must be fvcking loaded if you can afford to stake such large amounts to win such large amounts. Therefore I assume the money you win doesn't mean as much to you as it does to us poor folk. As an aside surely Briar Hill/Bobs Worth double is looking good. Already seen 2 favorites turned over in big races, will Bobs Worth be the third?
chrishlcfc Posted 13 March 2014 Posted 13 March 2014 Looks a really difficult card tomorrow with 2 or 3 open races with massove fields. im sticking with my predictions and going with a Silviniaco Conti/Briar Hill double as my main bet, then im going to have a Yankee on the other races.
CKB Posted 14 March 2014 Posted 14 March 2014 Not sure if people know but Betbright are doing a decent offer for new customers...Place a bet upto 30 quid on one single event and if it loses you get refunded
