bald reynard Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 For those unable to get to the game, could we have some City player ratings please ?
martyn Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 Kasper 7 RDL 8 Morgan 8 Wasilewski 9 (MOTM) Schlupp 7.5 Knockaert 7 James 7.5 Drinkwater 8 Mahrez 7 Vardy 7.5 Nugent 7.5
kingfox Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 Schmeichel 6 - Good save to deny Church, that was about it De Laet 7.5 - Good steady game, wasn't in it much first half, but bombed up & down in the second Morgan 8 - Dominated all game long Wasilewski 9 - MOTM for me, won absolutely everything, and one block in particular was the stuff of dreams Schlupp 7.5 - Like De Laet, a good steady and comfortable game, two good performances in a row from him Knockaert 7.5 - Saw glimpses of his best today, as always tried too hard a bit, but good display overall Drinkwater 9 - Controlled the midfield, some of his play was World Class James 9 - Love the guy, he showed us today, how a midfielder should play, some of his forward runs were excellent Mahrez 7 - Good performance, like Knockaert he tried too hard at times Vardy 8 - Nobody can handle him, a player seriously on fire Nugent 8 - His goal was class, his link up play was excellent today
LAprice_ Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 Kasper - 7 - It's hard to give a rating when he has very little to do, mainly due to the four names below him... RDL - 7 - What I'd call the 'typical RDL' performance. Excellent runs forwards, didn't have too much to do defensively Wasyl - 9 - For me, he was the best player on the pitch. All-round performance was magnificent. His distribution was the highlight today Wes - 8 - Like RDL, it was exactly what you'd expect from the big man. Solid performance. Schlupp - 8 - Glimpses of his potential as a 'full-time' left-back. Strong in the air, tackled well, HAD MORE TOUCHES THAN DRINKWATER. * Mahrez - 7 - Looked very comfortable on the ball, sometimes naive but that should be expected. Reminded me of Knocky in his early days James - 9 - Every week he looks better and better and better. 1st/2nd best midfielder in the league and it really showed today. Drinkwater - 9 - . Another dominant performance. Grew in confidence has the game went on. 1st/2nd best midfielder in the league and it really showed today. Knockaert - 8 - Had an impact on the game right from the start. As you'd expect, attacked eloquently but he also got stuck in and defended well. Vardy - 9 - I think Vardy's been a '9' for a long time now. I'm sure I don't need to go into details about why. Nugent - 9 - I would have said '8' but a well taken goal and desire to sprint back and defend in the 90th min earns him a '9' SUBS:Wood - 6 - Never really got into the game, still solid though, just not the same impact as Vardy. King - 7 - Typical King performance, did the simple things very well Hammond -7 - Came on in replace of the superb Drinkwater, filled his shoes admirable, got stuck in and distributed brilliant. *RDL and Schlupp had similar performances but Schlupp got the higher rating for me because technically he's not playing in his natural postion. RDL played like we'd expect him to play whereas Schlupp actually surprised me with his defensive qualities
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 Kasper 7 didn't have much to do RDL 8 good game Morgan 8 solid Wasyl 8 solid Schluppinator 8 good game Mahrez 7.5 flashes of genius Drinky 8 good game great goal James 9 MOTM Knocky 7.5 good in bits Nuge 8 ran his socks off Vardy 8 see Nuge SUBS Wood 6 steady King 6 steady Hammond 6 steady Second half was the best I've seen Leicester play in years
Bert Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 Kasper 6 - Had one thing to do and did it well enough. RDL 7 - Little to do defensively but he has an incredible engine on him. Very good going forward. Schlupp 7 - Slotted in at left back these past two games very comfortable. Could be potentially be a great left back. Morgan 7 - Dealt with Church who is a decent striker with relative ease. Wasilewski 8 - I'd go as far as saying that was his best performance for us so far. Mahrez 7 - Confident, good on the ball and had a decent game, generally. Knocky 7 - Took a massive hit which played a part in us getting our first. Worked hard, looked tricky. Unlucky not to score in what would've been a great goal. Drinky 8 - Just class. Composure on the ball and what a great thumping hit for his goal. James 8 - Such a silky player. Lets Drinky do his business but gets around very well and his partnership with Drinkwater has arguably been why we've been dominating so much. Vardy 7 - Took his goal very well, put his usual blood and guts into everything he could. A bit of a subdued second half performance though. Nugent 8 - Another assist and a great finish. As previously said. He links the midfield and attack so well. Should've scored a header but otherwise a great game. Subs 6 - The game was won when they were introduced. None of them did anything wrong but it's hard to come into a game when it's as good as over so for me, you can't really blame them for having any real impact.
Guest ttfn Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 Kasper 7 RDL 8 Morgan 8 Wasilewski 9 (MOTM) Schlupp 7.5 Knockaert 7 James 7.5 Drinkwater 8 Mahrez 7 Vardy 7.5 Nugent 7.5 Agree with this. I thought Nugent had a pretty ropey first half but was excellent in the second
Unabomber Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 I might do the full ratings later, but for now Wasilewski was fvcking magnificent.
Langston Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 I remember a few saying Wayl was epitomised the saying "walking red card" not long back, so pleased he's silencing a few critics. I can't recall a time since we last won promotion to the PL that we've had such depth.

Dickov22 Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 Kasper 7 Had nothing to do De Laet 8 What an engine Wasilewski 8.5 His best performance for us that I've seen. Great composure, distribution and made their centre forward look shit. Morgan 7 Mistake in first half but otherwise good Schlupp 8.5 Excellent, I like him a lot at left back. So quick, strong and great going forward. Konch won't get back in Knockaert 8.5 Fantastic. Bar Vardy, no one works harder. So skilful too Drinkwater 8 Quality as ever. Loved his goal James 8 Love the way he breaks from midfield, class Mahrez 7 Steady. Vardy 7. So composed for his goal. Otherwise quiet from him. Think the harsh yellow card he was awarded hindered his game Nugent 8. Great goal. Some lovely touches and link up play. Better second half

One Legged Beaver Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 Schmeichel - N/A (this isn't even a joke, I don't remember him touching it apart from when the defence passed it back to him?) The rest of the team 9s, thought everyone was fantastic today.

Corky Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 All of them can have a 9, we were so dominant in every area of the pitch and it was a joy to watch.
Guest MattP Posted 3 March 2014 Posted 3 March 2014 Schmeichel 7 - One thing to do and did it well. De Laet 8 - Superb in second half, at his gormless best and was creating a chance everytime he got the ball. Morgan 8 - Solid, another good partnership developing. Wasilewski 9 - Outstanding, best game in a City shirt. Schlupp 7 - Solid again, will be tested more in upcoming weeks but has done everythng asked of him so far. Knockaert 8 - First touch is often World Class, some terrific link up play. Drinkwater 9 - Brilliant, one of four players who could have been MOTM. James 9 - Exceptional again, we have a centre midfield partnership that will be able to step up to the Premier League. Mahrez 7 - Good start to his career, decent full debut. Vardy 9 - Can't remember the last time I didn't give him a 9, outstanding yet again. Nugent 8 - High workrate, great goal and developing a great partnership.
