Hungry Hungry Fox Posted 6 March 2014 Posted 6 March 2014 He's not going to go somewhere where he'll be sitting on the bench If he goes to AC Milan he'll be sitting On the bench
Kitchandro Posted 6 March 2014 Posted 6 March 2014 I'm yet to see any concrete evidence that a big enough club is after him. We're jumping the gun a bit here. There is every chance that he'll be at Leicester next season.
One Legged Beaver Posted 6 March 2014 Posted 6 March 2014 We could always buy Thibaut Courtois, I can't see him settling for another season out on loan from Chelsea and may want to move to a different club permanently
westernpark Posted 6 March 2014 Posted 6 March 2014 If Kasper goes, which I hope he doesn't! Then I'm convinced we'll be signing David Stockdale, we've had him before and he wouldn't break the bank!
Soar Fox Posted 6 March 2014 Posted 6 March 2014 Why would you assume Kasper is leaving? He's made it pretty clear that if we're in the PL then he'll stay. Has he? I've not saw or heard anything that he'll stay even if we're in the premiership. If Begovic stays at Stoke I'd like to see us sign Jack Butland if Kasper goes.
Soar Fox Posted 6 March 2014 Posted 6 March 2014 This topics is ridiculous Care to explain why? There's every chance we could be looking for a new keeper next season. Kasper is out of contract, had rave reviews after last nights superb performance and I'm sure a few more clubs will be looking at him now.
Flyfox Posted 6 March 2014 Posted 6 March 2014 He'll be playing premiership football with us next season....Yes, he has a decent game last night, but to assume he will now be tempted to go elsewhere on that basis is an over-reaction. He's simply keeping his options open for now.
Alex_LCFC Posted 6 March 2014 Posted 6 March 2014 After one good performance at international level and were on about what keeper to bring in next season. I think we're going way way ahead of ourselfs. I respect everyone has a say and I would happily liston to what anyone says but I think it's ridiculous that's all.
Captain... Posted 6 March 2014 Posted 6 March 2014 If Kasper has any sense he will negotiate a good contract with a relegation clause meaning we can't stop him leaving should we get relegated. Typically a struggling team ends up with their goalkeeper standing out in every game, because he has plenty of shots, so if we do struggle he will get lots of recognition and should we go down he will be free to leave. I think bringing in Given would be a great back up, and someone Kasper could really learn from.
lgfualol Posted 6 March 2014 Posted 6 March 2014 I will feel so much better once a couple of these players get new contracts.
Alex_LCFC Posted 6 March 2014 Posted 6 March 2014 I will feel so much better once a couple of these players get new contracts. same here
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 6 March 2014 Posted 6 March 2014 Really do love Kasper, BUT he is replaceable.... Westwood at Sunderland McCarthy at Reading Marshall at Cardiff Forster at Celtic Given at Aston Villa Steele at Middlesbrough ... all good replacements IMO
Banks Posted 6 March 2014 Posted 6 March 2014 Forster at Celtic or Ruddy at Norwich if Norwicha re relegated and we don't keep hold of Kasper.
Haydos Posted 6 March 2014 Posted 6 March 2014 Any chance we could merge the other Kasper thread with this one? All the discussion seems to be about the same thing.
LC/FC Posted 6 March 2014 Posted 6 March 2014 This needless speculation on Kasper's future based on one friendly impugns his character IMO. I think it impugns all the player's we have and their characters. I understand with the contract situation as it is we're all worried about possible departures, but I think fundimentally with the players that Pearson has sought out and knitted together, if you asked each and everyone of them "Premiership next season, take it or leave it" I'd think every single one would jump at that chance.
FuriousFox46 Posted 6 March 2014 Posted 6 March 2014 Just simply don't think he will stay. He may have said that before but when the offers come flooding in from big clubs this summer then I have no doubt he will leave. Anyone with ambition would do the same. We may be a premiership club but the chance of joining a club who play in europe? What do you expect any professional to do. He'll want to play. He'll play here. He won't at Manchester Utd or AC Milan. He's not an idiot.
FuriousFox46 Posted 6 March 2014 Posted 6 March 2014 Also, I'm pretty sure the rumours were made by those shit-stirring agents... We certainly never had any contact from Milan or Man U in January
crisp monster Posted 6 March 2014 Posted 6 March 2014 I think he'll give us another season - mad if he doesn't. If he does go I'd like Darlow ( depends on price)
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 6 March 2014 Posted 6 March 2014 Care to explain why? There's every chance we could be looking for a new keeper next season. Kasper is out of contract, had rave reviews after last nights superb performance and I'm sure a few more clubs will be looking at him now. . Have a good look at your sentence. That's what he means.
