Guest LCFC_World Posted 18 March 2014 Posted 18 March 2014 I made a thread similar to this a couple of hours ago and since then I cannot find it. Anyway, for final game of the season against Doncaster I thought it would be a good idea for a kind of 'celebration' game. I was thinking that a giant flag should be passed around the stadium, confetti being thrown around the stadium, and banners stuck on the back windows. (Im also hoping for a pitch invasion...). Anyway, post your thoughts, if anyone has any large flags then bring them to the game, confetti etc.. Do you think this would work? #LCFC
Mark_w Posted 18 March 2014 Posted 18 March 2014 I think it's safe to say that everyone else was planning to make Doncaster a 'celebration' game. Yes, I'm sure it'll work.
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 18 March 2014 Posted 18 March 2014 Confetti is easy enough, I got 180 sheets of tissue paper for £2.50, it only took an hour or so to cut and bag. I'll probably do the same for QPR, and mix some white into the blue. It's not hard, just a case of people being proactive and actually doing it.
Vlad the Fox Posted 19 March 2014 Posted 19 March 2014 This needs to be started from now. Let's get the party started. I'll be getting balloons and ticker tape for Blackburn.
Callabinho Posted 19 March 2014 Posted 19 March 2014 Forget lobbing tissues onto the pitch, I'll need them to clean up the mess I leave behind once the whistle has blown.........

Do you think this would work? #LCFC Cant see there being a pitch invasion on last game of the season. Surely this MAY happen IF/WHEN we seal promotion and/or MAY happen IF/WHEN we win the title. Unless it goes to the final game to seal either promotion or title. Heres hoping its all done and dusted before then
Lcfclee Posted 19 March 2014 Posted 19 March 2014 There won't be an invasion as we will get the warning that the trophy will not be presented if any body trespasses onto the pitch just like the Scunthorpe game in league 1
anotherharboroughfox Posted 19 March 2014 Posted 19 March 2014 There won't be an invasion as we will get the warning that the trophy will not be presented if any body trespasses onto the pitch just like the Scunthorpe game in league 1 I'd rather be on the pitch than stand and watch us get handed a trophy.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 19 March 2014 Posted 19 March 2014 I'm sure if there is a pitch invasion it will be spontaneous anyway as oppose to if we are already promoted prior to a game etc?
LeicesterBran Posted 19 March 2014 Posted 19 March 2014 I want to go to our final game of the season against Donny and I shall bring my flag. Hope flares will be brought along but, only if they as used properly.
Agent Fox Posted 19 March 2014 Posted 19 March 2014 There won't be an invasion as we will get the warning that the trophy will not be presented if any body trespasses onto the pitch just like the Scunthorpe game in league 1 We resisted in League One, I don't care, we're going on this year. You think the FA won't present us tge trophy on the pitch? Sponsors pay for that exposure, of course they will. Also who is the guy in J3 who brings 2 carrier bags of newspaper clippings and chucks them at random times? Love that guy!

So only really worth bringing flares along if a) there's the likelihood of a seventies themed disco , or b) someone is likely to be stranded at sea? I think 'b' is a tad unlikely but 'a' could be fun for those of us of 'a certain age'

The Year Of The Fox Posted 21 March 2014 Posted 21 March 2014 Oh dear, a "pitch invasion". Just because you're too old and frail to get on.
Weller in Tights Posted 21 March 2014 Posted 21 March 2014 Oh dear, a "pitch invasion". Oh dear, another moan by the Egg Chaser. Oh dear, a "pitch invasion".
Corky Posted 21 March 2014 Posted 21 March 2014 Oh dear, a "pitch invasion". You must be a joy to sit near at the ground. Don't go on the pitch if you don't want to, it's a simple concept.
Craig Posted 21 March 2014 Posted 21 March 2014 Title sewn up. Doncaster (Dickov & Wellens) need to win to stay up and send Lamby or Holloway down. What do we want?
Vlad the Fox Posted 21 March 2014 Posted 21 March 2014 Title sewn up. Doncaster (Dickov & Wellens) need to win to stay up and send Lamby or Holloway down. What do we want? It would be a cracking atmosphere if Doncaster also secured safety on the day as well. Obviously without beating us mind, something like goal difference, ie millwall get hammered by more than we best Doncaster, make it tense for them.
Stadt Posted 21 March 2014 Posted 21 March 2014 How many will they bring for the final game? 2000 if there something riding on it for them?
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 22 March 2014 Posted 22 March 2014 How many will they bring for the final game? 2000 if there something riding on it for them? They might do. Not sure what Doncaster away support is like but it's a possibility if survival is on the menu
