Smacks of last season.

Difference is we weren't on 82 points at this stage last season or 4 wins from guaranteed promotion. This forum is going to be a nightmare next season in the prem! Can we not focus on how good we have been this season?

The atmosphere in the ground last night was as if we were in a relegation battle!

And everything will be fine because we have a game in hand against Doncaster at the end of the season... and that game is worth double points....

Get real. We are Leicester City.

Have you ever known us to push aside inferior opposition at this stage of the season.

We nearly always struggle against them and either lose or at best get a draw.

Put any of the top six up against us and we generally give them a hard time and win or draw.

Hopefully we'll stay true to form over the next few games.

The thing is to keep calm and carry on believing that all will be ok.

It reminded me of the Leeds game.

I said to my cousin exactly the same thing and that we would get a last minute equaliser from a header on about 60 mins. Decent shout.

no, he's right. barcelona, juventus and bayern munich never draw.

If your trying to be sarcastic, Bayern really never do draw.

There's a world of difference between saying that yesterday smacked of last season and saying that we won't get promoted. I think that the OP has a valid enough point.

The general quality of play was as poor as it was during that run (the Barnsley and Derby debacles excepted) but unlike last season even when we're playing terribly we still create chances.

Looking back on it I think we've become quite spoiled this season by the quantity and quality of chances we create. The 31 shots is a bit of a red herring because a lot of them were either desperately poor or from miles out, but we still created 4 or 5 excellent opportunities (Schmeichel/Wood goal, Vardy after 2 mins, Wasyl and Mahrez in the first 15 off the top of my head). In past seasons creating 4 chances like that would have been considered far from a disaster and yet I (and many others) came away from the stadium feeling very disappointed with the (seemingly) few chances created.

Maybe lack of urgency was a bit harsh then. But even so you have to be concerned by how poorly we against a relagation threatened team and the fact some of our players looked knackered.

Not that concerned considering we've dispatched of other relegation-threatened teams with ease. Yes a draw wasn't the desired result last night but don't exaggerate or dwell on it too much!

Since 1st January: WWWWWWDDWWWWDD

Why are we panicking this time? It isn't as if we haven't drawn two games in a row before - it is football and it happens. I believe in sequences and will take four wins on the bounce from now. Why is the reaction different this time?

note - I don't actually believe in sequences. At least not as some kind of portend, although, they do give a reasonable idea of what might happen (it is known as form..) and are a better indicator of events than some fatalistic idea of a doomed destiny!

I did think it was a little like last season, but mainly because of the average performances of a lot of the team. It seemed as if it wasn't mahrez's first half, or drinkwater's passing wasn't quite there, but what I was pleased with was the fact they all kept trying. The workrate never dropped, and they continued to try the long ball, or the bit of skill. Thats what separates this team from the one last season in my opinion

Really? As they say, the table never lies

I know, that's what I'm saying. They've won the league with 7 games to spare.

What worries me is that players need resting, but have the 2 in form teams to play next, and 3 games in 6 days. We should have played a few fringe players last night, and i'm not just saying that in hindsight.

Well we were in the Kop and from where we sat, they seemed to be having plenty of attempts at winning . It was just one of those nights  where everything including the Ref was against us

Just move on we are still in pole for Champions and nailed on for promotion

I think you will see a reaction on Saturday, you could see how devastated the players all were after the draw, especially Kasper who apart from the odd miskick into touch had a fairly decent game even if he was the wrong end of the pitch in the last few minutes        :)
