Portsmouth for the Conference anyone?

If any of you were old enough, you'd realise we actually don't like Portsmouth after our play off game at fratton park in 1993. Hitting women and children in Leicester shirt. Honestly hope they go under and end up playing southern league football.

Seriously some people on here, learn your blooming history !!!

Do you still hate Germany for the Second World War?

Are we meant to hate an entire football club because a few cretins started fighting 20 years ago? Grow up.

The battle of Specks Lane. I was only a kid but still the worst violence I've seen at the footy, made the on the pitch fighting at Filbo v Newcastle look like a gay pride march.

Uusally I'd agree with this, but I'd be amazed anyone who was there that night doesn't still harbour something, worse than the Stoke away play off.

You could understand the response to the geezers, they have taken a right kicking from the home leg at the City Ground, but attacking kids and women was so wrong. The image of a kid crying as 3/4 blokes smash his Dad into a windscreen until he is out cold isn;t something you would expect someone to forget about.

I remember the night very well, I would have only been 12 and they weren't holding back because we were children. We fortunately managed to escape unharmed but I seen many that didn't. It never took away the enjoyment of the victory though, good old sticks ;)

Are you old enough to remember the 80's. If so you won't like any club.

What a legend sticks was.

It was about my 3rd away game I think, never saw a minute of the match bit the atmosphere certainly stays with me from it.

Just an absolute warzone outside, one of the things that always stuck in the memory though was this City fan collecting up horseshit in the middle of it all and throwing it at the Pompey lot every time our lot charged lol

We played them down there in pre-season and it was pay what you want to get in, so of course I paid £1.

lol

What an abhorrent turd you are, great "banter".

Absolutely.

But I find it odd that you'd hate the Football Club rather than those individuals.

It's like saying "I hate this company because I saw one of their customers punch someone".

Football clubs are the fans. Always has been.

Millwall and Leeds are universally hated because the fans are utter dícks

I can't actually tell if you're being genuine or not but that sentence is really stupid if you are.

Understand the Portsmouth hatred from our side and for anyone who was there on that night, but still hate the idea of revelling in the death of a good traditional football club.

I mean, MK ****** fans never beat up women and kids but I still think they're a bunch of cvnts whose club I want to go bust.

One of my best mates is a Pompey fan and I've seen them a couple of times this season. Despite the position their in their fanbase has remained brilliant and they still make a great noise at times. I like watching games at Fratton Park and actually hope they recover and go back up the leagues.

I would love for us to get our own back for the 6-1 at some point though. What an awful game that was!

MattP did you go Fratton park in the F.A Cup back in 95 ? Think it was the 4th round because I think we beat Enfield in the 3rd. Heard alot of stories about it. Alot of people went there for revenge and apparently got it.

Think it's more than a bit hypocritical to criticise Portsmouth for violence committed by their fans and then to revel in it when Leicester fans do the same.

They were acting the big un after Cambridge stuffed Gosport at Wembley last week.Apparently Pompey fans were there looking for trouble afterwards, but walked into a pub with about 40 older Cambridge fans who were not having any of it.They then took up scuffling with the police.Time doesn't change them.

Where did he revel in it? He was asking a question, that didnt indicate his opinion either way.

There's more to sentences than what they are at face value.

'Revel' might have been the wrong word but I got the impression he wasn't unhappy talking about "revenge".

I can honestly say it would not make the slightest bit of difference to me if they didn't exist. It would be quite exciting and funny to see them drop out of the league on the last day though. Drama!

Fair to 'em. Like I say their fans are twats with a horrific accent but rather them/Wrexham/Luton/Cambridge etc than ****** like Stevenage and Crawley in the FL.

Because you're a ****.

You're genuinely the biggest bellend on this forum.

If you can honestly say Leicester fans wouldn't do that if the opportunity arose, then fair enough. However, seeing some of the ****** we have for fans, I can safely say we would do it (the collective 'we'). You're being too harsh.
