Hugo Sanchez Posted 4 April 2014 Posted 4 April 2014 I love when Steve is on Sky because he is so biased. Not Leicester City, It's us or We, a real Leicester legend. I'm not knocking Big Al but Steve is Mister Leicester City.
ceredigion Posted 4 April 2014 Posted 4 April 2014 Our greatest ever player IMHO. A figure of legend now, like one of the Arthurian knights of old.
Tuna Posted 4 April 2014 Posted 4 April 2014 In 1986, he received an eleven match ban after smashing the jaw of striker David Geddis, whilst playing for Leicester against Shrewsbury, part of his often violent reputation which included a longstanding rivalry with Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Steve Bull, which led to both being sent off in separate matches.

And your point is?

Don't you just love him??!!!!!
Tuna Posted 4 April 2014 Posted 4 April 2014 And your point is? Good memories of a dying breed hard bastard defender. Don't you just love him??!!!!! Exactly.
ceredigion Posted 4 April 2014 Posted 4 April 2014 Walshie still holds the record for sendings-off in the Football League. 13 red cards in his career. 1 for Wigan and 12 for us, but I never saw him as a violent player myself. He was just whole-hearted. More sinned against then sinning, if anything.
veezeeblue Posted 4 April 2014 Posted 4 April 2014 one of my top #lcfc heros, real Club man, loved seeing him on ESPN today
Neil_LCFC Posted 4 April 2014 Posted 4 April 2014 I saw at least another 10 reds he would get nowadays brilliant player one of my favourites along with muzzy
philce Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 Can you imagine him playing now, I think hed be banned for more games than he played in a season!
Master Fox Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 Was, Wal, Wes as 3 centre backs!!!.... www.com!! Nearly as good as Tags, Elliott, and Walsh. But I see what you're saying.
Blue will Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 Wish he would teach our current center halfs how to head a ball from a corner into the goal
Mark 'expert' Lawrenson Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 Steve Walsh vs Arsenal, scores the equaliser then has a bust up with both Viera and Wright, legend is a word that gets bandied about too much in my opinion but Walshy, well he is a true City legend. All the moments and memories that he has given the club over his career, plus his loyalty, brilliant.
Voll Blau Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 Our greatest ever player IMHO. A figure of legend now, like one of the Arthurian knights of old. Behave. Utter legend, yes. Greatest ever? No.
Guest Col city fan Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 Seeing him play was a treat most of the time. He's a legend and incredibly biased as a pundit.
Jace Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 Yeah he's cool, I like it when he says we. I like it when that Brian the robot from the confused.com adverts says weeeeeee
Unabomber Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 I like it when that Brian the robot from the confused.com adverts says weeeeeeeI hate that.
jonthefox Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 Behave. Utter legend, yes. Greatest ever? No. Go on then. Who is?.
Guest Col city fan Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 Go on then. Who is?. In my lifetime.. Walsh.. no doubt about it
Sampson Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 It depends what you mean by best player. If you mean in terms of actual ability, nah Walsh would be nowhere near our best ever. I think Elliott was definitely a better and more consistent defender than him even in the same position and the same team. If you mean cult hero and commitment to the club then he's undoubtedly up there.
Mark 'expert' Lawrenson Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 Go on then. Who is?. Are we talking greatest on football ability or greatest legend? Walshy every time on legendary status. (In the last 30 years)
