Celebration plans afoot

A return to the Premier League will mean a boost for the city as a whole and there are big celebrations planned.

 

City mayor Sir Peter Soulsby said: "It's great news for Leicester having a Premier League club."

He has already been in talks with Leicester City's chief executive officer, Susan Whelan, in preparation for the club securing promotion.

Sir Peter said: "There are some plans for the club to announce when they're ready."

Some will be happy, some will cringe and some will be too plastered to notice or care.

 

What do you think they'll consist of?

 

 

Open top bus and civic reception with Soulsby and Vaz leading the parade after all we wouldn't have done it without them  

 

Oh and Vaz will mention it in the Commons.

In Soulsby's honour we should have a bus ride through a gridlocked Leicester touring all the needless roadworks.

Paint the entire city blue and white.

 

In all seriousness, a parade & a special celebration outside the stadium are a must.

 

And advertisements for the club, big banners for instance, that are planted at some of the busiest public places (city centre, train station, St. Margaret's, etc.).

Either way, it can only be the start for increasing the club's profile in the city and the shire.

Open top bus parade is guaranteed, surely? That's what all winning teams do and I can't see us being any different .

 

I'm sure there'll be chance to meet the squad and players and have a picture with the trophy too for some lucky fans.
