DB11 Posted 22 April 2014 Posted 22 April 2014 On a side note, Chris Wood must be well pissed off! Well he had his chance and didn't take it
MikeyT Posted 22 April 2014 Posted 22 April 2014 Bolton Wanderers FC â€@OfficialBWFC 9m #BWFC team to face @OfficialFOXES: Bogdan, Wheater, Mills, Knight, White, Ream, Spearing, Trotter, Lee, Hall, Jutkiewicz subs: Lonergan, Beckford, Robinson, Threlkeld, Kellett, Iliev, Lester
Webbo Posted 22 April 2014 Posted 22 April 2014 I think this just shows how little faith Pearson has with Wood, he started about 2 games when Vardy got injured and I thought he'd take his chance after that wonder goal vs Burnley. I think you're right.
Grandad. Posted 22 April 2014 Posted 22 April 2014 King needs to be showing real quality if he is the number 10 role, if Drinkwater and James are holding. Be interested to hear the reports on King after the game from the fans who are there, very tough position to play, especially in the Premier League.
Unabomber Posted 22 April 2014 Posted 22 April 2014 Well he had his chance and didn't take it Did score the goal that effectively sealed promotion though didn't he.

Cue Bolton clean sheet.

We tried it under Sven and it drained the attacking potency from his game. Anyway, completely disregarding the above, I've got £10 on him to score today!
Ric Flair Posted 22 April 2014 Posted 22 April 2014 That Korean fella looked very good against us in the past, think he'll pop one in
Corky Posted 22 April 2014 Posted 22 April 2014 I think this just shows how little faith Pearson has with Wood, he started about 2 games when Vardy got injured and I thought he'd take his chance after that wonder goal vs Burnley. Wood just doesn't suit how we play, Vardy's pace and willingness to run in behind causes so many problems for the opposition. Nugent looks comfortable with him too. Wood is a great finisher but poor all-round player.
Guest Col city fan Posted 22 April 2014 Posted 22 April 2014 Spot on, time for Mr King to stand up and be counted, he has the talent and I really do think he can make the step up, so don't prove me wrong! Yes it is.. all the Kingy fans (and myself of course) will want to see him perform now he's in that three that people have been saying best suits him. It is possible that we will be playing a three-man midfield next season so lets see if it works and if King is good enough to be a part of it. Should be interesting.

I wouldn't mind seeing Drinkwater playing a bit more advanced, don't know if he has been playing there at all this season? Good link up play with Nugent for the goal Saturday, think the lad has the ability to open defences at ease.
DB11 Posted 22 April 2014 Posted 22 April 2014 Did score the goal that effectively sealed promotion though didn't he. That's a very narrow perspective of looking at it. And I disagree with it in its entirety. He scored the second in a 2-0 win when we were already looking comfortable at 1-0; if you'd said as champions I'd have almost agreed but promotion was either already in the bag or achieved with Knocky's free kick.
BHAFC Braders Posted 22 April 2014 Posted 22 April 2014 Going to say congratulations on securing the title now seeing as most of you will be smashed for a few days I guess
Guest Col city fan Posted 22 April 2014 Posted 22 April 2014 As I said () weeks ago, I expect to see Wood leave the club in the summer. I could be wrong but I don't think Nige think's he's good enough. We'll see..
Jakemoore Posted 22 April 2014 Posted 22 April 2014 That midfield is a class above anything in this league! 0-2 win with Mahrez and Kingy scoring!! Come on citerhhh, win the league!!
Unabomber Posted 22 April 2014 Posted 22 April 2014 Mahrez to blast one at Mills that goes in off his nads to clinch the title.
MooseBreath Posted 22 April 2014 Posted 22 April 2014 Hopefully it's basically our normal 442 with King in a forward role dropping back when required. Maybe NP has a new signing in mind for that role next season. Otherwise if we're playing a holding midfielder then it paints a depressingly negative picture for how we plan to approach the premiership.
NorthernFox Posted 22 April 2014 Posted 22 April 2014 Bolton bench full of kids (except beckford). They could be playing 5-4-1. 1-3 King, Drinkwater and GTF off the bench.
Guest Papasmurf Posted 22 April 2014 Posted 22 April 2014 Are Bolton playing with 5 at the back? Could be a back 6, Wheater, Mills, Knight and Ream all centre backs.
