Tielemans63 Posted 22 April 2014 Posted 22 April 2014 4-5-1 again then with Kingy just behind Nuge it seems. Nice. Would have liked to have seen Knocky in that role but that's a more than decent side. Great to see Matty James back in there.
cjslcfc Posted 22 April 2014 Posted 22 April 2014 Personally more comfortable with James than Hammond so happy in that respect. Hopefully the formation will work a bit better. But with these players it doesn't seem to work so well
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 22 April 2014 Posted 22 April 2014 Will he not play a 4-2-3-1 with Drinkwater and James holding?
Tielemans63 Posted 22 April 2014 Posted 22 April 2014 On a side note, Chris Wood must be well pissed off!
Sir Shep Posted 22 April 2014 Posted 22 April 2014 Spot on, time for Mr King to stand up and be counted, he has the talent and I really do think he can make the step up, so don't prove me wrong!
Mark_w Posted 22 April 2014 Posted 22 April 2014 5 man midfield with James back should be interesting. Any Bolton team news?
Ric Flair Posted 22 April 2014 Posted 22 April 2014 I think this just shows how little faith Pearson has with Wood, he started about 2 games when Vardy got injured and I thought he'd take his chance after that wonder goal vs Burnley.
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 22 April 2014 Posted 22 April 2014 5 man midfield with James back should be interesting. Any Bolton team news? Yeah, they're shit.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 22 April 2014 Posted 22 April 2014 Will he not play a 4-2-3-1 with Drinkwater and James holding? Works for me.
Brooksy Posted 22 April 2014 Posted 22 April 2014 Fancy Wasyl to get sent off tonight after cropping Beckford and Mills with the same elbow.
Guest MarshallForEngland Posted 22 April 2014 Posted 22 April 2014 Feel a bit sorry for Miquel tbh, he's a very competent defender and can't even get on the bench. To go on loan at a championship side (I know we are promoted) and hardly play a game must be frustrating. Big Was ain't getting any younger though, I wouldn't be averse to having Miquel in the squad next season.
steveherbe Posted 22 April 2014 Posted 22 April 2014 That midfield What he said. Has premier league written all over it.
Unabomber Posted 22 April 2014 Posted 22 April 2014 4-2-3-1 again should be good. I think it will make the difference that James is starting and it will mean that King can really play with more confidence in a more advanced role. Wouldn't be surprised if we see an Andy King first goal. I'm sticking my Wasyl anytime though!
Vicki Vixen Posted 22 April 2014 Posted 22 April 2014 When we don't have possession, Pearson wants 11 players with a defensive mindset and a desire to win the ball back as quickly as possible. He has that with today's line up. He also has it when we play a 4-4-2 with Vardy and Nugent up front. Wood just does not fit the bill, and will continue to be on the bench at best until he shows more urgency when the other team has the ball.
Lincolnfox Posted 22 April 2014 Posted 22 April 2014 I am so glad James is back in midfield... I still have my doubts over Kingy so I am hopeful he is gonna shove a pile of humble pie down my throat
MC Prussian Posted 22 April 2014 Posted 22 April 2014 I think this just shows how little faith Pearson has with Wood, he started about 2 games when Vardy got injured and I thought he'd take his chance after that wonder goal vs Burnley. Now watch Wood come off the bench and score a perfect hat-trick in the second half.
